This Year's Resolutions: By readytoescape

A few ideas to get us started on our resolutions. We only have a few days left, before we begin a 'new era'.

This Year's Resolutions: By readytoescape
"I’m givin up my coffee.
Crushin out that last cigarette.
I’m gonna forget,
Each and every regret.
I’m gonna lose weight.
And get back into shape.
I’m gonna try to forgive,
All of those that I hate.
I’m gonna get involved,
With all of those,
Whom my life revolves.
Just let old worries,
fizzle, dissolve.
Gonna sit back,
And let the good life evolve.
I’m gonna clean house,
Gonna puff my chest out.
Of all the above,
This one goes without doubt.
Gonna regain my pride,
Try not to push others aside.
Gonna live this way,
till the day after I died.
I’m gonna live free,
Let no one dictate.
Don't tread on me,
Til I reach that Pearly Gate.
Written this year 2010,
I’ll strive to make good ,
ReRead this poem again and again.
To stay on this course,
I pray to heaven,
I won’t have to rewrite this,
In 2011."
Christmas is Over

Bring these over from the last thread ('just in case' :)

Don, did I ever send you an invitation to post on our blog?? Did you ever send me your email?? I'm absent minded. I want your name up on our contributors. And BYW, where are you? Any of you thinking up a good New Year's post.

My three days back to work after 4 off should be fun, if all the calls I got over the last 4 days is any indication. I don't think it was as bad as previous Decembers. One December I got 14 hours of calls from the jail in Dec with each call being 10 or so minutes. I couldn't even pee without the phone ringing.

Well our new software system ought to be waiting for us. We were supposed, actually not me, to be inputting data three days before and three days after Christmas. That was a brilliant time since they were also forcing people to take any leftover time off before the end of the year. We are already at bare bone minimun staff.

And they don't arrest any healthy people anymore. They all come in with their suitcases full of drugs, or worse, with a list and no suitcase full of drugs, or worse, they are supposed to be on a suitcase full but don't know what the drugs are, or worse, they are half dead because they needed a suitcase full. By the end of the day, I need a suitcase full of drugs.

.... the Last Decade Was a Big Economic Zero (gotta love Krugman - at least I do)

"Maybe we knew, at some unconscious, instinctive level, that it would be an era best forgotten. Whatever the reason, we got through the first decade of the new millennium without ever agreeing on what to call it. The aughts? The naughties? Whatever. (Yes, I know that strictly speaking the millennium didn’t begin until 2001. Do we really care?)

But from an economic point of view, I’d suggest that we call the decade past the Big Zero. It was a decade in which nothing good happened, and none of the optimistic things we were supposed to believe turned out to be true.

It was a decade with basically zero job creation. O.K., the headline employment number for December 2009 will be slightly higher than that for December 1999, but only slightly. And private-sector employment has actually declined — the first decade on record in which that happened." The Big Zero /

The decade the world tilted east
"I am trying to remember now where it was, and when it was, that it hit me. Was it during my first walk along the Bund in Shanghai in 2005? Was it amid the smog and dust of Chonqing, listening to a local Communist party official describe a vast mound of rubble as the future financial centre of south-west China? That was last year, and somehow it impressed me more than all the synchronised razzamatazz of the Olympic opening ceremony in Beijing. Or was it at Carnegie Hall only last month, as I sat mesmerised by the music of Angel Lam, the dazzlingly gifted young Chinese composer who personifies the Orientalisation of classical music? I think maybe it was only then that I really got the point about this decade, just as it was drawing to a close: that we are living through the end of 500 years of western ascendancy.

“Western Ascendancy”: that was the grandiose title of the course I taught at Harvard this past term. The subtitle was even more bombastic: “Mainsprings of Global Power”. The question I wanted to pose was not especially original, but increasingly it seems to be the most interesting question a historian of the modern era can address. Just why, beginning in around 1500, did the less populous and apparently backward west of the Eurasian landmass come to dominate the rest of the world, including the more populous and more sophisticated societies of eastern Eurasia?

My subsidiary question was this: If we can come up with a good explanation for the west’s past ascendancy, can we then offer a prognosis for its future?"

I lied! One more:
... a Times science writer argues that religion is a machine for manufacturing social solidarity.

"How is a church like a can opener? Among the pleasures of using evolutionary logic to think about matters nonbiological, one is getting to ask questions like that. The evolutionary take on a cultural fact like religion or warfare can cut through the fog of judgment and show how a social institution solves some mechanical problem of human co-existence. What function did intergroup violence serve? What are gods good for? " 'The Faith Instinct'

Wonderful posts, Chloe.

While roaming around Chloe's NYT link, I found this gem of an article on the Dutch origins of NYC. It's the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson.

Digging into old New Netherlands

Ivy Green said...

The article makes mention of discovering references to an ancestor of Humphrey Bogart and his profession as a "barber surgeon." This references my brain to another favorite novel of mine, "City of Dreams," by Beverly Swerling. It is meticulously researched, using the actual notes of Colonial-era physicians for its authenticity. Among other things, it makes you appreciate the advances in modern medicine we so often take for granted.

City of Dreams

"In 1661, a brother and sister staggered off a small wooden ship after eleven perilous weeks at sea to seek a new life in the Dutch settlement of Nieuw Amsterdam. Bound to each other by blood and necessity, gifted healers both, as their new lives unfold, betrayal and murder will make them deadly enemies. Their descendents — dedicated physicians and surgeons, pirates and whoremasters — will shape the future of medicine and the growing city. City of Dreams follows the stories of the Turners and the DeVreys in a city where slaves were burned alive on Wall Street, where James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, and John Adams walked the Broad Way arguing America's destiny, and where one of the greatest hospitals in the world would be born in a former shipwright's workshops by the East River. Set against the panorama of a young country's struggle for freedom, rich in history and medical detail, it is an enthralling tale told by a master storyteller."

Going back to the thread talked about women.!

I will take anyone right now. I have a cod....and I want my Mommy.!!

Solar said...

Don,

Where are you? I want you to tell me something to my face.!!

U R going to flirt with Carol???

All of the pinks here at the swamp are out of bounds, for any other flirters.....

There are some other pinks that you can flirt with......the lurkers that show up looking for some hot action...Japan, Canada, Germany, and of course Turkey.!

Anonymous said...

Do you really have a cold Solar? If so, I think Carol's on call! We'll tell her it's an emergency.

... see, that's what happens when you hang around a bunch of people at Christmas. Germs. :)

Anonymous said...

Ok, I don't get it. First you tell Don you need some male companionship here, and now you tell him Carol is off bounds. What's the deal!

Aren't there enough pinks here, that you can at least share!! Greed Solar! Not a pretty picture.

I put a message on your wall at FB, and Patsi had this comment to say about you: "Solar is a Facebook slacker."

I think you better get over there once in a while and defend your honor.

Solar said...

Chloe,

I hardly ever get sick, and it hardliner ever lasts. I saw this one coming, and didn't do anything about it. I usually take my favorite Alkaceltzer Plus, on the firs sign...

This one is like a hang over with out last night fun..

No-not willing to share..i thought about it...who..and it couldn't decide..so he has to get his own girly=girls......

Anonymous said...

... well, while I'm at it I might as well tell you the rest. Coreen hasn't heard one word from you on her new facebook page. You must mind your manners Solar.

Hey, you said you need your mommy, and this is what mommies do. They make you behave.

Solar said...

Yeah, I did get threats from Patsi, and responded, she is one of the few people that I know that uses it like it's supposed to be used.

I don't go over to FB unless a get an alert, or something...I will post a picture once my son down loads it from his camera, and sends it in the e mail....looks like he is going to keep my pc, and im stuck with this old Dell...but it is working good so far....

Anonymous said...

Poor baby. Sorry you're sick.

Shame on you though, for not taking your Alka Seltzer Plus (Ha! I actually had to look up the spelling - I don't think I've ever written that word before - see what you make me do!)

Solar said...

Can you come over and hold my head..give my temples a little finger message....pleeeese, pretty please.!!

Anonymous said...

I don't either Solar. I rarely go there.
Nice of you to let your son keep your computer. Are you using a laptop?

Solar said...

U don't care about me..not you don't.! All that you want to do is to take advantage or my weakened state, and scold me....who cares about the correct way of spelling Alka-celtzer...

Anonymous said...

... Ha! How could I possibly refuse and invitation like that! RFLMAO! (really!)

There's only one little problem. By the time I get there you probably be well. That's one of the problems, and the other one is the snow. I can't walk on snow. Never learned. Ha!

Solar said...

No, I fixed one of several office pc's that my brother Al, gave me. I pieced it together, and works well. Not lap top, until I get going with the work in Ohio.....

Anonymous said...

Of course I want to take advantage of your weakened state! Who wouldn't?! :)

The reason I cared about the spelling, is because I didn't know how to spell it well enough that you would have even recognized it.

Hey, you type awfully well for a supposedly 'sick' guy. Are you sure you're sick. Maybe you're just here looking for sympathy.

Or... maybe you really do have a hangover.

Anonymous said...

Once you start that Ohio work, then you can get yourself one of those sprint wireless hookups too, and take it with you where ever you go.

Solar said...

Can you bring Coreen also, she can rub the back of my neck...see Don, No, Pinks for you...all are going to be busy..Carol can you come over and tell me spicy Cajun stories, bring Maria,,,she will know what to do....Ivy can make me feel better by reading to me...she loves reading...

My god, you're demanding!!
Good thing you don't get sick very often. We'll all have to take vacation time, just to care for you.

Solar said...

Chloe, another nice thread.!

I have never made a new years resolution in my life. Just did what I had to do.

I stopped drinking, and smoking b/c of the terrible hangovers, I stopped smoking b/c of the smell, on my clothes.....and for staying in shape...om due to exercise today..will make it a light one tho...

Solar said...

Chloe,

Have been kidding with you. I am sick just like I said, but It doesn't stop me from doing what I want....MY son Tom, starts to feel sorry for him-self, and I believe that is makes it worse..there is a mental attitude that one should have...the mind, it is very important not to let it heal you the natural way...positive thinking, and moving around to accomplish something....but would still like all of you to come over, and spoil me......

Anonymous said...

Resolutions are a good thing to make though.
They make you think hard about things. Ask yourself if things could be better. I'm going to do that for a few days, until I decide.

I've got another baby demanding my attention now, so I need to tend to her. Then we've got to get on the road to get a few things done.

I'm sorry you're sick. Really. I'm going to make up one of my magical brews and send it your way. Meantime, I'm counting on you to be good to yourself, since all of us can't be there to do it for you.

.... later. :)

Anonymous said...

We already spoil you!
I know you're really sick. I was just kidding around with you. I am so miserable when I have a cold, I know it's not easy. I also know you don't complain 'enough', and that you have a good attitude about things.

Just kidding again. Wish I could spoil you.

Solar said...

I feel a little bit better now...but don't stop rubbing my temples. Is Emma around, she can make me smile.....with her serious face..she racks me up, and Carol, was right on, with her comments about her pictures...s

.. she just doesn't cooperate. I keep telling her to smile at the camera, but does she listen. She's just like you! Won't do as she's told! (actually, I just love all her funny little looks - I bet you've got some good ones too)

Catch you later too.

Solar, I have an idea.
Why don't you go to a movie.

I'm gone.

I was thinking of that..Eli's book, or something like that looks interesting....D Washington, looks good in it...that is if he lost so me weight.....

Coreen, Chloe, didn't care, she just left, and did not spend that much time rubbing my little ol cabeza...can you come right over, Now? Don't worry about Connecticut it will still be there when you get back...next week some time.....

Coreen,

just start, one of my ex's always said it takes
3 days to get a cold, 3 to have it & 3 more

right...(Greg, my UFO sighter).

I take lots of vitamins & so far only had one
cold & that was in the fall.

And thank you for the compliment, was your mind's eye on the right track.....maybe soon
you will let us see you too....am still waiting
for the day we can all really talk with each other....

Solar said...

Nothing wrong with my minds eye, it sees the same things that my vision sees...but you didn't look like an atty, in the Pic.

I get the cold about once a year, and usually get over it in one, or two day's. You don't eat a lot of meat, which is good, that means that you eat a lot of veggies, which equals a lot of anti oxidants ...

The longest living people on average are the Cost a Rica. They eat a lot of anti oxidants, and vitamin D...

Solar said...

Cost a Ricans, that is.

Coreen said...

Yes, I like my 'big salads' (that's a Seinfeld

Here's something that caught my eye while reading the NYT, a clever OpChart picturing the past 10 years...My how times have flown by...Couple of things I like in there, but not
many....

I didn't do any thing..I just rested....1 1/2 day of being sick..not bad..1 1/2 to get sick..thats when I should have started my Alka-seltzer plus, and it would have been only one day. or not at all.

Anonymous said...

... the t-shirt was just a little joke you two.

I should have listened to my horoscope this morning, but it was so bizarre: "You have a better chance of being right if you're just a little less specific than you usually are"

What's that supposed to mean?

Coreen said...

Yes, it would seem that the 2000 election was
an omen of just how awful the 'ohs' were to
become....Then the September 11th attack, and
the final disaster, the economy's meltdown, all
packed into such a short time span....who would have believed it possible....

Anonymous said...

I hate to be the one to break this to you Solar. But Alka Seltzer plus on treats the symptoms, not the virus.

Beside, couldn't you take something that's a little easier to spell please.

still have snow a plenty....

Snowing here all of the time lately, but not that cold..only going to 18 tonight...cold is when it gets to be -0- and a strong wind...thats cold.

Don, having 4 sisters, and watching them use sinister ways, (kidding) I learned the art of being diplomatic, as far as pinks are concerned..thats why I did not say that I was willing to share....would have a bunch of trouble the other way....

Carol said...

Hi guys. Sorry don't have a cure for the common cold Solar. Plan something fun, that will usually cure it. I usually feed mine along with whatever else is wrong with me. I feed it all.

I do like to hit high doses of vit C when I first feel the symptoms coming on. A little voodoo gris gris might help. I'll try to remember the formula for it.

I find that most of those cold formulas just make you groggy and have a rebound effect.

Interesting post Chloe and yes Ivy, when I'm swimming around in some of the links that are posted, I alway find other interesting things. Like the other day when C-Bob posted the Audubon link for the bird count, I found a birdwatching site called Two-Fisted Bird Watchers. For birdwatchers that don't want to wear twead.

Two-Fisted Bird Watcher

They had a little story there about the guy who used the Pileated Woodpecker defense to get him out of a speeding ticket. He lived around Chicago and saw one. He was speeding to catch up with it when he was stopped by the police. He told them what he was doing and didn't get a ticket but did get a strange look from the cop. That pecker is not usually found in that area he told the cop.

Solar said...

"Sure glad I don't live somewhere in the northern regions like Chi-Town or CT".

Nice to see you back Don. Going for your interview in Tampa? Good luck. Have fun. We'll be jealous. I'm ready for Spring!

I'm cold today. Haven't taken off my jacket all day. I feel bad whinning though since I don't have the cold that some of you guys have.

The common cold crossed the species barrier. The virus came from birds, about 200 years ago.

Ok, solar, here's two more. 80 in Palm Beach thursday so I'll be dying in my suit and I've never had a cold in my life.

Job interview with a jewelry company. And you thought you were in with the pinks.

I certainly hope you get feeling better though. I hear chicken soup really works.

When I was young my mother used to but extra quilts on us and cups of hot lemonade. The idea was to cook the bugger out. It seemed to work with the flu, though your idea of spoiling sounds like more fun.

Solar said...

"never had a cold in my life."

Mom used to put Vicks on my neck and chest and wrapped one of my dad's big hunting socks around my neck. That always opened my head up. Just the attention did wonders.

Chloe, Rotten Tomatoes only gave our movie, It's Complicated, a 50%. I liked it. I wonder if half the people reviewing it were guys. I don't think guys would like it very much. Do you know any guys who saw it?

Carol said...

Don, if you are going to Palm Beach maybe you can hang out with Tiger and one of his chicks on his big boat. I think he's hanging out there. He might just have a spare hanging chick around also.

Carol said...

That was supposed to be spare chick hanging, not spare hanging chick. At least I hope not.

Anonymous said...

Carol, between the spare hanging chick and the cup of whiskey with an ounce of tea, you've really got me laughing tonight.

I saw that movie alone, because I wanted to see it instead of Sherlock Holmes. But I think guys would like it. And I think it was an excellent movie - best I've seen in a while. I was due for a few good laughs, and there were more than a few in that movie. I loved it, as a matter of fact.

I often don't agree with critics or reviews. I'm sure it'll be around long enough to make a lot of money too.

See you tomorrow.

"You have a better chance of being right if you're just a little less specific than you usually are"

Profound Chloe! Did you realize that your horoscope was giving us a big hint with how we should write our new year's goals or was that you? What synchronicity. The trick is to be less specific. Yeah, that's the ticket.

I'm still working on my goals. I've been trying to narrow them down some. I do have quite a few things I need improvement on. But I also realize that with going on 60, I do need to cut myself some slack. I've worked hard over the years and do deserve some slack. Tell me it's OK to cut myself some slack.

Carol said...

It's like there are two Carols, the lazy Carol and the Carol that is not happy with the lazy Carol. The lazy Carol wants to eat too much, goof off, not clean out her truck, not organize her paperwork, not go clean her other house and pool.....She is a total slouch. She needs help.

She does still have a difficult job though and she has been working all her life. And she did work hard to get to where she is but she has been a slouch for several years now and getting worse.

Carol said...

And yesterday was really crazy at work. There are two clinic I see patients at and the nurses at the second one were nuts. They were totally out of control. Must have had a bad holiday. One almost needed a straight jacket. It started to affect me. My new supervisor came in and saw what was happening and left so fast she left behind a smoke trail.

I had way more patients than what could be seen in the time I had left to see patients. One kid came in with the wires from a broken jaw still on his teeth after 6 months. That's nothing new. He was on his way to the hospital to get them off when he was, unfortunately, arrested.

Do you know how many times I hear that. If I had a dollar for every time I hear that one was on their way for brain surgery, to fix that broken bone, etc, and was arrested. Now I have to see to it that it gets done and do it right now. Most of the places that do this kind of work are all the way across the state and that is most likely why the inmates don't get their problems taken care of.

They will plop down in the chair in my office and start ordering what I must do for them and do it now! That tends to irritate me just a hair. I did need that suitcase full of drugs when I left work yesterday.

Sorry for whinning but you might see why I feel like a slouch when I get home. Slouch is all that is left in me. At least I have 4 more days of holiday this week.

" Did you realize that your horoscope was giving us a big hint with how we should write our new year's goals or was that you? What synchronicity. The trick is to be less specific. Yeah, that's the ticket."

Carol! You added meaning to something that I couldn't figure out (but thought was important enough to copy and write here). I meant it when I said I rarely look at my horoscope, but when I do, I almost always mention it here - it usually 'feels' worth repeating.

Thanks for completing the circle of synchronicity . If we are a little less specific with our goals/resolutions, then there'll be less loopholes that we can find to get out of following through on them. You're right, that's the ticket.

You're such a good leader Carol! (that's the kind of politicians our country needs - ones that actually listen to us)

Anonymous said...

"It's like there are two Carols, the lazy Carol and the Carol that is not happy with the lazy Carol"

We're all like that Carol - it's the little voices of reason inside our heads. You'd be a pretty boring person if you were completely one dimensional. Our mind is always battling things out, trying to find a happy balance.

Struggling with 'conflict' is what causes so much stress withing us, but I guess we could think of it like that movie that Solar was talking about that's coming out soon (which I looked up), the battle between 'good and evil'. Although I'd never describe those differences in us as evil, so it would be more like the battle between 'good and not as good', depending on who's judging.

Actually, I completely like both sides of you. If you were 'all' work and 'no' play, we'd never see you. We wouldn't even be having this conversation.

I'd say you've found the 'perfect' balance. It's working (that's the best test). You hear about those so called perfect people just snapping one day, and going postal. Be glad you're not one of them.

Glad you're feeling a little better.

"...a good Comedy?"
I think you'd like 'It's complicated" Solar. 'Very' funny, and I really don't think it's a chick flick. There were a lot of men there when I saw it. I was thinking the same thing, that it's a good time to see something light and funny.

"Carol, solved our problem for us...she said that there are two Carol's...you flirt with one, and I will with the other....."

Ha! The ultimate 'synchronicity'.
And as far as this: "she probably has a cpl of other Carol's lurking in the dark somewhere", that should work out well for you Solar (if you know what I mean . :).

Oh, and just because I mix up a brew now and then, doesn't mean I'm a witch - I'm not. Just a little mind control, that's all.

"Tell me it's OK to cut myself some slack."

Carol, I missed that when I was here before.
IT'S OK TO CUT YOURSELF SOME SLACK! As a matter of fact it's better than ok - it's absolutely necessary!
I really don't like the way I worded what I said earlier about the battle between good and not so good in our minds. I think those voices don't need to be judged (except in order to change things), they're just different. The only time we need to question them, is if they're causing us discomfort.

There's always such a delicate balance, and I think we're just trying to keep things from toppling over. Both sides are necessary.

Time for me to get a move on.

"IT'S OK TO CUT YOURSELF SOME SLACK!"

This is absolutley the right thing to do...alway's; in some cases that involve hurting others, than we have to see the monster in us that used revenge or something that is counterproductive to ourselves....but we do not need be passive, when a little force is called for.....

"he battle between good and not so good in our minds. I think those voices don't need to be judged (except in order to change things), they're just different. The only time we need to question them, is if they're causing us discomfort. "

Perfect.! We need to understand this a lot more...the understanding of feelings, where they come from, the emotions that are not studied before we act, more often more then someone else.

When we talk to the Captains, or Capitanas, in our "minds eye" we are looking for a balance, and should listen to them.....

"more often more then someone else."

Sorry, need to pay more attention.

the emotions that are not studied, and understood before we act, more often end up hurting us more than some one else......

Nice out side; cold but very sunny, going for a walk...later.!

"we do not need be passive, when a little force is called for....."

Every time I see that cute little picture of Alvin heading up your posts, I can't help but giggle. He's so you. :)
BTW, I completely agree with what you said about there being a time when a little force is called for. I also think it's wrong (and unproductive) for us to keep second guessing ourselves. If we act out on our emotions, for example, in times of anger, then so be it. If we think we were wrong, we can apologize, then should move on.

"the understanding of feelings, where they come from" Feelings are everything. They're what let us know how we're doing, and they guide our intuition. Feelings are our conscience, they're everything.

It's 'so' dang cold here today Capt.
You're lucky to have that sun to walk in. It's gray here today. Gray and cold.

wasn't cold outside b/c there was no wind. Lots of snowmen where down, and out. signs of the past year, I think.!

changed the avatar before reading your post....

I like the new avatar even better. It's symbolic too, like you said 'signs of the past year'.

That one was a good find Solar, and surprisingly I changed my avatar before I left after my last post. It should come up on this one. (?)

Coreen, I think I forgot to say yesterday that I thought it was kinda funny we both download that deer picture. Do you still have it on your desktop?

I bet you don't take down your Christmas decorations until New Years. Is that right Coreen? At least I think that's what a lot of people do. Me, I don't have much 'to' take down.

I can tell you one thing though, I am sooooo ready for 2010. I think it's going to be the best decade yet. Just a hunch.

I'm hoping someone puts up another post pretty soon. This one's getting old.

Home safe & warm, it was an absolutely awful
cold, really windy day today.

Deceptive, since the sun was bright & the sky blue, but only 19-20, with a 20-30 mph wind all day, just now seems to be slowing. The trees were swaying sideways all day....but did not lose electricity (at least not yet).

Yes, Chloe, the Christmas stuff is still up, inside & out, until after New Years.

And I took the deer/snow backdrop off & put
some fireworks over New York for New Year's Eve up. Don't much like New Year's Eve, try
to stay off the roads that night...

Carol,

Your team does now have the home field advantage, thanks to the Bears last night....

Solar said...

Don,

I hope that you are not sweltering in your business suit and tie..is it a little tight? hope not. Are you a little uncomfortable, in your tight shoes, and socks...are you a little uncomfortable when you think about me and Coreen; good you deserve it...87 degrees and bragging about it....reminds me of Tony the Baloney....he are you going to see him??...

Solar said...

Coreen,

Thats what I call winter. When it is in the lower double digits, and the wind factor at 20-30....bundle up, or you are going to be a frozen ( mmm chocolate ) canoli...lets see, where can I start....

Carol said...

Evening folkes. I'm so sorry about your cold up there in the north. I have a serious chill and it's only in the 40s here. I'm been a lot colder this winter, ever since they took out my thyroid. My new heater is doing a good job.

Carol said...

Yeah, really excited about that home field advantage Coreen. Don't know if that's going to help, they were at home last weekend. We're all still shaking our heads down here.

Carol said...

My peeps at work were less nuts today. Better day!

Coreen said...

Carol,
Glad you & Maggie are keeping warm with your
new heater, sounds like that was a wise purchase.

And remember as Tug McGraw (Mets relief pitcher)said a long time ago....'Ya gotta believe'.

Coreen said...

Solar,

With this cold today, you finally can have
a 'frozen' chocolate canoli......

"just had a slice of frozen raspberry cheese cake"

Yummy. I love the N.Y. cheesecake and Edwards key lime pie. Haven't had the raspberry, but it sounds delicious too.
