Sorry I was taking up Carol time. I was talking to her on the phone and she can't talk and post at the same time. I think I might have heard a few withdrawal symptoms coing on.
They're really promoting the Jeff Corwin series starting Sunday night, One Hundred Heartbeats. I have it on my must see list even if it overlaps 60 Minutes; I will switch channels.
Carol knows how I felt when I had to leave for England. Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home. But remember, it's just for a minute. You'll be home on your river in two clicks of your ruby slippers.
I was going to erase that, almost as soon as I posted it. I decided to let you have fun with it..lost you shot at it now...but I can read minds remember.
Maybe the reason you can read minds, Solar, is because you can cross over on that time barrier just a little. I'm very intuitive too, believe it or not. The only problem is, that sometimes I'm completely wrong. But you'd never convince me at that.
You make me smile when you say those things Solar. ........... Carol, We had 8 people for a short time, did you see that? I don't think that's happened before.
Mary, Carol always say's there's no need to correct our errors. But it's really hard not to at times. Carol say's it makes us work a little harder to understand what's being said. I think she actually likes that we make errors, keeping things au natural, so I rarely worry about mine.
Carol, I found out today that the guys at the local VA are getting their H1N1 shots, but the rest of us are out of luck. I found a pediatrician with the mist, but they can't use that on her until she's 2. Next week, she has to get a second shot, added to her first flu shot that she got almost three weeks ago. They said that they get two the first time only.
Maybe while you're down there in Houston, you could ask around and see if anyone's heard of any in Houston, besides the ones for medical workers and veterans.
Ha Ivy, that's what all the kids do. Sneak in text messaging while there at work supposedly doing their job. I think they can text message with their eyes closed.
I don't think the map is reading you as being online here Carol. That's interesting (unless I'm missing it, I don't see anything from Houston). I wonder if phones have an ip address like a computer. Do you know Solar?
I recieved a flu shot a cpl of months ago...will see my Doctor on the 22nd for results on my blood test..she won't give them to me; unless I tell her a joke that makes her laugh...shes tough, like Carol....but I'm going to ask her for it...usually the nurse...
gives it to me...thinks im a foot ball the way she puts that needle in me, and blows me up...
Where did you pay $4 for a coke? Those hotels usually have them in a machine for a dollar. I always carry a spare in my purse for emergencies, and $4 for a coke would definitely qualify as an emergency.
Thats why I don't like to join in on the Health Care conversation too much over at TM...can't understand why it's so hard for the Dems to explain it.....
If we have the best Military, and give them the best food, weapons; and of course the best medical care...why can't the public have it..also the city, and all government employees have it also...I blame the public for being so stupid as to not see whats in front of their faces...
".I blame the public for being so stupid as to not see whats in front of their faces.."
Solar, It's not stupidity. They just believe what they're told. They don't realize how good your VA medical is. The government, the doctors, the insurance companies, the drug companies, etc. don't want them to know.
People just believe what they're brainwashed to believe. You know that better than most of us.
Carol, I always bring a six pack with me when I stay at a hotel. That and plenty of snacks. I'm cheap! If there's no fridge, there's always an ice machine.
Well, I guess everyone has gone to bed. I have been reading all the comments and laughing until my sides hurt - lumsh - a new acronym. Carol you are doing great on your new iphone- you and Mary going back and forth - its fun to see sisters telling each other "I told you you should have taken your laptop" at least I can just hear Mary telling you that.
Again, I have been busy on the baby quilt.
I guess I am going to have to find Imus again. Is he on TV? If so, where?
Ivy, I want to hear more about little Oz. I am like Carol - what hospital did his dad practice in? Was it in Houston?
Did you all hear today that Oprah is leaving her show - I think in a year?
I can hardly wait for Idol. I think Ellen will be a good addition. I did like Paula though. Ellen has a great wit - she will be funny - yet kind too, I believe.
Ivy, thank you so much for posting the Jason Castro version of "over the rainbos" Jason was one of my all time favorites on Idol. There is something very special about Jason and I loved his version of OTR. Some of my favorites on Idol never made it to the last couple of shows - but many have turned up in unexpected places. Jason has a real sweetness and I believe he is an "old soul."He also has beautiful eyes.
Chloe, like you, I take snacks on trips. I never go anywhere without my little travel elec. tea pot and my tea bags. I have to have my tea first thing in the morning before I do anything.
Well, now I'll have to quiz my mom some more about where and when she encountered the senior Dr. Oz, if it was professional (mom's a RN) or if she was his patient. I wasn't paying close enough attention when she said she saw the current Dr. Oz on TV and recognized him as the kid she used to see with his Dad. This was in Delaware, btw, not Texas. I didn't move to Texas until after Hubs and I had been married a couple years.
And Solar ya know how your eyes get crossed when you're sleepy. Well I was having trouble figuring out which I phone to type on. Three were at least three of them.
I'll tell ya, Houston doesn't worry about wasting water. I turned on the shower and it threw me against then back wall. In those evolved places like Seattle ya need to bring a bucket and borrow water from the toilet to get enough water pressure.
I posted "Advice from an Eagle" on TM and a link to a site which offers the pome as a tee shirt. Looking around the site, there are many interesting items for the nature lovers who may be on your Christmas list.
This conference is free, sponsored by drug cos. Grants. Good speakers and Content not pushing any particular drugs. No pens or other give away junk that Mary loves. Sorry Mary. What can I bring ya?
"Ivy Green said... Carol, Don't give up since that's all you got. I bet by the weekend's end, you'll feel quite comfy with it. The "larnin' curve" is all about practice and repetition.
I'm tellin ya Carol. You need to listen to lil sister. It was either last nite or this morning that I said you needed to have patience. You can't expect to know if you really like something in just a few hours.
I knew you were going to like it because everyone that has one likes them. I'm surprised it took you this long to get one. You are usually the first to get new, fun things.
Ivy, I had to laugh when you were talking about your coffee pot that stayed in the box for 2 wks. because you didn't want to have to get it out and figure out how to use it. I have several boxes like that. One was a little 7" TV that was portable and really neat. Well guess what. Now it's no good since they went digitsl unless I would hook it up to a digital converter and then there goes the portableness (is that a word)
Carol, Call me when you leave Houston. I want to know about when to expect you. The weather here is very yukky. I thought it was supposed to start clearing up this afternoon but I just heard by first bout of thunder. Almost looks like it's getting worse.
As we enter our season of unfettered overindulgence, I always wonder if people in other cultures really do eat more healthy and weigh less with no effort than we Americans do.
Food!! I'm starvin. Hadn't eaten anything since lunch yesterday except for a few measley sunflower seeds. Actually I just ordered a pizza for delivery. Just haven't felt like getting out in this mess to get anything.
I put up a new post...I had so much typed on it, that I was afraid to lose it...and did not t ell anyone....NEW THREAD....at least I don't leave you pinks snipe hunting...must be fun to watch me groping around in the dark..huh?

Sorry, I didn't have time to think about a new post. I got here and saw we were at 197, so I only had a minute (or less) :)
... as you can see, you caught me sleeping on the job.
From the last thread:
"Me and my big mouth"
Man, It's killing me to not say anything regarding that one Solar.
Sorry I was taking up Carol time. I was talking to her on the phone and she can't talk and post at the same time. I think I might have heard a few withdrawal symptoms coing on.
Chloe,
Quick thinking and good work.
They're really promoting the Jeff Corwin series starting Sunday night, One Hundred Heartbeats. I have it on my must see list even if it overlaps 60 Minutes; I will switch channels.
coing=coming

I know exactly what you were thinking...
I just looked up One Hundred Heartbeats, and it sounds like something I'd like to watch too. I just have to find out channel and time.
Ya know Imus doesn't bother me too much because he knows he's a jerk a d works at it.
Quick work Chloe.
First talk today was update on H1N1
Has Emma got her puemo vac?
And Mary vomiting and diarrhea is a symptom of
this flu.

Solar, Did you go to the VA for your H1N1?
What in the world is a puemo vac?
Carol,
With your I-phone, will you be able to sneak a post or two during your sessions?
They talked about why it is taking so long. The virus grows very slow.
Ha Ivy, that's what all the kids do. Sneak in text messaging while there at work supposedly doing their job. I think they can text message with their eyes closed.
Are you enjoying the class Carol?
"The virus grows very slow."
Is there any meaning to that, regarding how fast it was go during an epidemic. I mean, does it grow slowly in our bodies too?
Carol, I took the H1N1 vaccine about 3 wks. ago.
I don't think the map is reading you as being online here Carol. That's interesting (unless I'm missing it, I don't see anything from Houston). I wonder if phones have an ip address like a computer. Do you know Solar?
They are Ok
Chloe,

Forgot: Thanks for asking.
I don't know what I expected to hear. I guess no one really 'wants' to go to those classes.
And I took the seasonal vaccine about 6 wks. ago. Not taking any chances.
Map does not read me at home either. I can be there and it say O visitors
Those VA outpatient clinics are great, aren't they Solar. I wish I could go to one - they really take care of you guys.
You must be invisible.
I used to love those old (very, very old) invisible man movies.
Chloe, Don't know for sure, but I don't think so...or they are limited by limiting the web space they use??
I've got a good start on my diet here. 4 bucks
for a coke.
Where did you pay $4 for a coke? Those hotels usually have them in a machine for a dollar. I always carry a spare in my purse for emergencies, and $4 for a coke would definitely qualify as an emergency.

I bet you miss Maggie, huh Carol. She going to be soooo happy when you get home.
Solar, I think you're right about the phone.
Well, I'd bet get... see you tomorrow.
Machine empty. Conspiracy.
".I blame the public for being so stupid as to not see whats in front of their faces.."

It's going to be like the video of the returning Iraq vet being greeted by his dog.
"The later you are, the happier your dog is to see you."
Carol, I always bring a six pack with me when I stay at a hotel. That and plenty of snacks. I'm cheap! If there's no fridge, there's always an ice machine.
Six pack of coke, that is. Not beer Solar.
Watched Dr Oz today on bedbugs. I wonder how many are sharing this bed with me
You don't have to qualify it...it's not like I would take some little ole line, and make it out to be something else...
No bed bugs allowed at the Hilton Carol. Not a one.
Ha! Solar, I know you so well.
Carol, You don't want to know.! Ok billions
Ok, I'm officially invisible.
Nite.
Did I tell you my mom used to see Dr. Oz when he was "little Oz" trooping around with his dad on hospital rounds?
Chloe, you show up on my radar.
Where did his dad work?
I'm going blind!
Newsmax offering Sarah's book for $4.95 with subscription
I do miss my Magster. I keep looking for her.
Nite all. O'Reilly giving Sarah a tough grilling.
Carol,
R U going to sleep now?
I will stay around until you are tired if you want me too?
Well, I guess everyone has gone to bed. I have been reading all the comments and laughing until my sides hurt - lumsh - a new acronym.
Solar, you're a hoot!
Chloe, like you, I take snacks on trips. I never go anywhere without my little travel elec. tea pot and my tea bags. I have to have my tea first thing in the morning before I do anything.
Coreen, funny I never think of myself as a romantic. I am pretty practical. And yes, I think I have found my soul mate.
How many people can you get on one of those calls. That would be so much fun.
Time for beddie bye. Nite all.
Well, now I'll have to quiz my mom some more about where and when she encountered the senior Dr. Oz, if it was professional (mom's a RN) or if she was his patient. So much I want up say and so hard to type it. Ya remember I'm
typing on this little shit.
I want ya to know I'm not doing an ad for Newsmax.
Also I still have my back pain and ya'll wanted me
to pull a U-haul
Sweet of ya Solar to offer to sit up
with me. Wish I knew those kids shorthand. Can see how this toy might be fun for kids.
And Solar ya know how your eyes get crossed
when you're sleepy. Well I was having trouble figuring out which I
phone to type on. Three were at least three of them.
Maybe we can give our blog story to Oprah and she can arrange a reunion. That would make a good show. Anyone here know her?
And ya know Sarah has to at least pretend she might run
for pres cuz that's the only thing that keeps her marketable. It's the fear factor.
My I phone is starting to understand me. It is helping me type. Really
Time to get a shower. I'm loosened up now.
I'll tell ya, Houston doesn't worry about wasting water. I turned on the shower and it threw me against then back wall. In those evolved places like Seattle ya need to bring a bucket and borrow water from the toilet to get enough water pressure.
And ya thought having only this little thing would
shut me up.
I posted "Advice from an Eagle" on TM and a link to a site which offers the pome as a tee shirt. Looking around the site, there are many interesting items for the nature lovers who may be on your Christmas list.
Nature-Watch stuff
Carol,
You haven't been complaining about your back? It is better, or are you sucking up the pain?
Ivy my theory is if you don't mention something that is bothering ya, take away
it's power.
This conference is free, sponsored by drug
cos. Grants. Good speakers and Content
not pushing any particular
drugs. No pens or other give away junk that
Mary loves. Sorry Mary. What can I
bring ya?
I'm starting to fall in
love with little Iphoney. That's her name. She understands me.
I have ya'll programed in and she tells me how cold
ya'll be every day.
Say what...?
"Ivy Green said...

Yes Ivy. It was good I had to use this. Gave
me the opportunity to see if I
want to keep it. It's growing one.
Good name for her, Carol. Last night she was "I-phooey."
And I'm the last. I get it when it's so cheap it's almost obsolete.
Me too, Mary. My technology motto: "One Step Behind."
This Crimson Tide game is exciting if you like to watch big kids beat up on little kids.
I have to give Chattanooga credit for showing up.
Ivy,
I had to laugh when you were talking about your coffee pot that stayed in the box for 2 wks. because you didn't want to have to get it out and figure out how to use it. I have several boxes like that. One was a little 7" TV that was portable and really neat. Well guess what. Now it's no good since they went digitsl unless I would hook it up to a digital converter and then there goes the portableness (is that a word)
It was never used. Not even once.
I wonder if they have a place that buys all these neat gadgets that are no longer any good and brand new. I could make a killin.
Mary,
Scares me anytime a product requires a manual, a video, and an online "help" feature.
Mary,
I bet you could find a buyer if you put it on Craig's List.
Eat Like a Brazilian
This afternoon subject womens
issues. Mood disorder, prevention
of female cancer. About 3 more hours.
Ten four Mary.
Sorry Mary. What can I
bring ya?
Food!! I'm starvin. Hadn't eaten anything since lunch yesterday except for a few measley sunflower seeds. Actually I just ordered a pizza for delivery. Just haven't felt like getting out in this mess to get anything.
Will check that link later Ivy. Don't think any other cultures eat as much as we do.
Eat some of Maggies food.
I'll have to say, Maggie's food did look pretty appetizing this morning. I don't want her to starve, though.
I'm fighting overwhelming sleepiness.
I put up a new post...I had so much typed on it, that I was afraid to lose it...and did not t ell anyone....NEW THREAD....at least I don't leave you pinks snipe hunting...must be fun to watch me groping around in the dark..huh?
