Solar, When this happened to Jan, I had to go in and recopy it, then redo it as a new post. Once it was in the draft folder, it would let us post it. Weird.
Im over here too now; Don is too probably..waiting for the smoke to clear..and see what it was all about..."no worries mate" Just a little of my 'Solar powers' gone awry...(~_*)
Hi, I made it here. Good. I see Don's star flashing but he might not be able to re-materialize. Help him Solar. You might have to gather up all the particles and put him back together.
Hi. I had fixed the funny characters in a comment, but I don't know if anyone had noticed. Everyone seemed to ignore it until it disappeared.
Computers read each character as a number, usually between 0 - 127 (though the first 32 are special teletype characters). Chloe's post had moved the numbers from 0 - 127 to 128 - 256. It's really easy to do in computer talk and is common in document editors like Word or Rich Text editors. In binary ('0's and '1's ir goes from something like 00001011 to 10001011. Most browsers consider that the extended character set, which includes those funny symbols you saw.
Chloe probably has an editor that knows that and showed her the right text anyway, maybe because she's selected a font or using a different computer like a Mac.
I removed it by copying and pasting it to a regular text editor which doesn't do fancy fonts or formatting, notepad in this case.
Chloe,,,that was a great post...not your fault..I want to tie in your last cpl of post to it ...as a matter of fact..so don't think anything was your fault...it wasn't.!!
I thought you did it on purpose Chloe. I thought it was some sort of code that we had to figure out. It did look like hieroglyphic writing. I even went to a sight that translated that kind of writing but the symbols weren't the same.
On mine, it was perfect...and it had all of the different size text that you wanted..and in pink...it was perfect...so was the pic. of Emma...relax..and lets go on to the next thing...Oh and im real good about talking about nothing.when Im talking about it....got it?
"Chloe probably has an editor that knows that and showed her the right text anyway"
I have windows Don. But it appears my computer is a lot smarter than I am, because it was fine on 'both' my computers. I checked the second computer, because I was trying to see what happened. Why do you think it would be fine on mine?
Also, all I did was choose the choices for font that the site gave me to choose from. Nothing fancy.
Thanks Don, but I've got a little stage fright right now.
Solar, You can go in and copy your post off the draft, then past it on a new post. Just make sure you post it immediately, instead of saving it to draft.
Carol, Did you ever send Don his invitation? If not, can you give him your email, so he can send you his?
Best thing to do Chloe is to get back up on the horse. You're not going to break anything. If it doesn't work I'll take a closer look and find out why. Even if its just a short paragraph.
The comment section doesn't allow different fonts, so that should be safe.
Solar, didn't you send out my email? It's been months since you said you'd do that. :)
Yes Carol. Don, My bad..I didn't do it as promised..and the other day when you posted a new way of communicating with you...I thought that Carol picked up on it...will follow thru right now..
Ivy, I was looking back at one of the pomes you shared with us yesterday. Lenore was off to a really good start with
"You never know What will change the world- a word lightly spoken, a touch from a stranger, a glance from a woman in a red dress, or a flower opening in your garden."
It was wonderful until she had one of her hallucinations and off she goes into the wild blue yonder and starts talking about furniture moving around and feeling stuff in her bones and the alienment of planets. She may benefit from some Seroquel, at least the pharm co that makes it would think so.
And as for the bird stumbling around in the bottom of it's cage pome guy, that Gerard Manley Hopkins, he was nuttier than a fruit cake. Fruit cake may have been a bad choice of words since he was also a Jesuit priest grappling with his homosexuality. And he suffered with what today would be called Bipolor. A very tormented guy. I knew it.
I wonder if Coreen is working on a post right now? If not, I was going to to into the drafts and type Solar's 'invisible' post onto a new post where it will actually be visible. I notice you can't copy and paste it... I'd forgotten about that. I had to retype Jan's that time.
"Heal and educate a child and they will grow up in support of US help. "
Nice post over at TM Don. I brought this one line over, but am linking the post for anyone who wants to read it. Don's Post
I hope I didn't offend you this morning by quoting what Alicia said (I am not a political person, and when I repeat what others say, it's just my way of exploring it). I was surprised to hear that you served in the middle east for 2 years (I don't recall it if you ever mentioned it before). I hope you'll talk about it more with us - I don't know that any of us have any first hand knowledge.
What you said about Turkey and their old culture putting a different perspective on things is so true. Whenever I focus in on how young our country is, it's unbelievable what we've accomplished in such a short time. Just hard to imagine we're so young, especially when you think of it in terms of 'generations'.
"I saw a survey that said the US was last in a list of 40 countries in creating green technology and jobs. We're quickly being left behind in education, jobs, and health."
It makes no sense that we're letting this happen. How can it be that we moved forward so quickly for so long, and now we seem to be falling behind.

I started to write a new post..and it did not let me..it just went into this non-post..will try again...
It's the Twilight Zone......

If anybody can fix it, Chloe can.
Ha Carol!
But can I fix it in English?
I'm afraid to post ever again.
I meant Ivy!
I'm sorry Ivy, I think I called you Carol once before too.
Im over here too now; Don is too probably..waiting for the smoke to clear..and see what it was all about..."no worries mate" Just a little of my 'Solar powers' gone awry...(~_*)

Just make sure you get them all in the right places.

Now, how's that for more than you wanted to know?

This thread, with no main post, is perfect proof that we can talk about absolutely nothing. Ha!
Thanks Solar. But was it English on your computer? Because it was on mine.
I thought you did it on purpose Chloe. I thought it was some sort of code that we had to figure out. It did look like hieroglyphic writing. I even went to a sight that translated that kind of writing but the symbols weren't the same.
We might have even pulled in a few spies, thinking we were sending some sort of code to someone.
Chloe,

I think it was google trying to give us a giggle.

Chloe, if you want to repost I'll translate again, and then post a screen shot so you can enjoy the fun.
This reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where they wanted to do a TV series about nothing.
"I thought it was some sort of code that we had to figure out."
LOL Carol. I wouldn't know how to do that, even if I wanted to. Don's the computer expert here. I can barely figure out the basics.
You were talking space alien Chloe and Solar and Don got it. What does that tell us????
Then it was probably blogspot Chloe. I haven't been overly impressed with the software.
nanu nanu
Thanks Don, but I've got a little stage fright right now.

Don, it was blogspot...they are the ones that are limited..
I'm really glad we have Don here to break the code.

Solar, didn't you send out my email? It's been months since you said you'd do that. :)
Solar, do you still have the same email and do you have Don's email address? I'll send you my email address again and you can send it to Don.
Yeah, so am I Ivy.
Solar, I agree. Let's just move on.
(or should I say, stay here in the Twilight Zone, where I'm starting to feel right at home)
Yes Carol. Don, My bad..I didn't do it as promised..and the other day when you posted a new way of communicating with you...I thought that Carol picked up on it...will follow thru right now..
I have a scary thought. Maybe someone used us to send a nefarious message to some bad guys.
Or we just saved the earth by passing on the super secret codes to call off the attack.
Maybe we're double agents, and don't even know it. Maybe there's even a mole here.
Chloe, super secret NSA agent, defender of freedoms, champion of the little guy, passer onner of secret codes.
No moles here but there are a couple of squirrels.
I don't know about picking up any new normal peeps here tonight but if there's a psychotic out there looking for a home, we've got um.
Ha! Don, Of all those things you said, I'd most like to identify with 'champion to the little guy'.
Oh no, maybe I'm the mole, and don't even know it.
And they can help us interpret Ivy's last pome.
Well, this psychotic is about ready to turn into a pumpkin. Night again.
.. and keep up the good work guys, 40 comments about nothing. We're doing great.
Just when the plot is reaching it's climax Chloe?
And Coreen is probably taking notes just in case she has to defend us against something or nothing or....what the hell am I talking about?
ponder gone awry.
Don,
You have Carol's e-mail address now.....
quick,
Chloe , what # are we on?
"what the hell am I talking about?"
NOTHING!!
26,25,24
(no wonder you can't sleep. The numbers are too small - maybe we should start over soon)
those were last nights #'s ....but the time to worry is when they are close to zero...do you know what happens then?
23,22,21
.. we start over?
Come on Solar. The suspense is killing me.
Well, Im glad that everything is back to normal...and you are back to picking at you favorite target....Me.! sleep well.
In case you are interested...
They are amung us!
I see a couple of new posts in a holding pattern for take off. Let them rip....
