I would like you to meet Lizzy. She likes to hang out around the camp. Sometimes she's a bad girl and chomps down on a dragonfly. She did that yesterday. Oh, I just hate it when she does that.
Let me see...is that Lizzy or is that Clotel? Does she have a mole on her bottom lip? Lizzy has the cutest mole on her bottom lip. Lizzy and Clotel look so much alike that sometimes I just can't tell them apart.

Oops, At first I thought you had some snap dragon there. Great shot you caught there Carol.
Hey, ya'll afraid of lizzards?
Need a lot of those to make a good sandwich, specially if they move around a lot.
Chlo,
The author keeps deleting your post's, stop swearing so much.!
Hey Carol,
Do you have room for any more ponderers?
I have been enjoying reading your words,
(but I was without a computer until yesterday only on my netbook--which I find very difficult to type on, so did not try to 'speak'
with any of you.
Your story/photos about the orbs/aura was fascinating.
Like the laid-back feeling you guys have here.
Who's Author? Did he sign in? You can take care of him for us Solar.
Don't you eat my Lizzy and Clotel. They keep the bad bugs away but I do have to give up an occasional dragonfly.
We have lots of room for ponderers Coreen. We also need lots of ponders. It gives me something to do when C-Bob's friend Insomnia is over visiting.
The only thing you can't do around here Coreen is feel intimidated. We save that for TM.
Coreen,
Over here im the one with the short post's. Chloe is the talkative one, so is Ivy. I like it here, but feel weird, since im the only guy here.
Carol, I had a long post about the orbs, and where I think we go when we die, the post was not excepted, and could not get it back....I will try to remember some of it for a later post.
Solar sometimes I have to hot submit a couple of times for it to go through. Keep looking at the bottom to see if it went through. Also you may want to highlight and copy before trying, in case something happens.
Damn Solar, I hate to lose any of your ideas or ponders. My intuition tells me you have a lot to teach us.
If anyone here thinks their ponders are goofy...great! We can't wait.
It had a little to do with re-incarnation...will set my mind back to an earlier date, and get it back; just like when you set the computer to an earlier date haha, you know that is exactly what our neural mappings of our mind are, just like a pc......big road maps...and im usually lost in space. HA!
Then you better get our GPS devices and map up in a hurry Solar so we can go find you.
Thanks, Carol, Solar
After reading your orb/aura posts, I remembered
that you said you listened to coast to coast late at night--I did too--but now I can not
get the station--the signal is messed
up---but I marveled at the conversations there--though I'm a skeptic---I am open to the possibilities. Now I listen to NY sports talk
radio before I nod off.
Solar, I suspect that you would be at ease
no matter where you were.
Oh, you will be able to find me pretty easily, I will be that one little star that looks like it is sputtering one moment, bright and shiny, but don;t look away cos you might not see me go down in flames...thats sorta what happens to us when we die.....
I found Coast to Coast when I was having to drive late at night back and forth to mom's house. I can get C to C starting at 9p on weekdays sometimes. It is also a distant channel and there is a lot of static. I don't have time to listen to it very often anymore unless I'm awake in the wee hours.
I don't listen to the program if they are talking about anything demonic. Don't like anything like that.
I'm not going down in flames Solar. I will rise higher and shine brighter.
I'm sensing a touch of the blues Solar? Tell us about it.
Coreen,
Thanks: The funny thing is that in real life, I have always been kind of quiet, I love to observe others. I have grown up listening to grown ups. My friends fathers were like my friend also, they had a lot of interesting things to say, and gave me a lot of guidance that has helped........
Carol,
I always have a touch of the blues, while at the same time being a very positive person. Thats what life is all about. I will save that for a Friday, or Saturday night...see u a little later.
Sorry, guys, had to take a phone call.
Meanwhile, if I wound up being a 'star' it would have to be a shining blue star--nothing less. Actually on a clear, cold night (at least here in CT) you can see colors in the
stars. I have seen blue, gold & of course
the red star--ole beteljuice?
And if you believe in superstition--& the tale
that things happen in threes---in addition to
Ted, Dominick Dunne, the author, tv host, died
and Ellie Greenwich, a old time rock & roll songwriter also died. The girl group sound
maybe before your time---but be my baby,
leader of the pack, chapel of love.
Solar is kind of like that movie, Time Traveler's Wife.(I haven't seen it) He just beams out. Maybe he is from outer space???
Not before my time. I'm 58 and 3/4s.
That's what nice about a place like this Coreen, you can leave, do something and no one knows. I went out and pooped the pup.
Usually Ivy and Chloe have checked in by now. Maybe they are busy. Maybe Ivy's husband had a gig tonight. Maybe Chloe's making up for lost time with her hubby. He was out of town for a while.
Coreen, have you ever noticed how cold air skies are so much bluer than hot air skies. Do you know why? Cold nights the same.
Yes, winter sky is so much more deep & dark, at least in the northeast.
I always marvel at the sky in Florida---to me
it is a deep navy blue, while here it is much darker.
Not sure about where you live--but
it may be the amount of moisture in the air
that affects the color.
Coreen, I am so glad you found your way over here!
Stars: I would be a shooting star, I think. Here today, gone tomorrow. (don't even know why I'm saying that.... I never know what I'm going to say, when I start typing. :)
Then you can always surprise yourself Chloe. Maybe this is like therapy. We can learn about our selves as much as we can learn about others.
I don't know about cold air skys, because here in Houston, the sky is bluer than I ever saw, until I got here - and you all know how unbearably hot it is here.
In Southern California (I have to distinguish S. Ca. from Northern Ca., because they're like 2 different states), it was so smoggy, that I didn't know the sky ever got really blue, like it does here.
When it's cold, there's not as much smog (I think), so that may be why it's bluer then.
Yes Carol, where is our friend Ivy.
Oh, I don't doubt that for a minute Carol. Therapy it is.
Chloe, glad to be here---And Carol, you mentioned Chloe & she appears--you two may
be on the same wave length.
And that is why I have some difficulty with
typing thoughts. I am used to talking & when
you type the words it seems I need to read
them before I send in the hopes that they are
making sense!
Why is that a difficulty Coreen?
You know Coreen, you could just hit enter, like I do, and to hell with the errors.
Does hubs have a gig tonight?
Are you a typist Coreen?
Maybe I should have clarified that. Do you have to think about the keys, when you're typing.
That's something else that is not required here Coreen... making sense.
Thank god Carol.
Who were you asking about a gig?
Ivy's hubs is a musician. He plays in a band. She mentioned the other day that he was asked to sit in with Taylor Hicks band.
I assume that is his hobby not his profession.
Carol, I just went over to TM, to post a comment on a post I read earlier there, and when I submitted it, Solar was the comment right before me. He get's around.
I think it's a hobby too. But not sure.
Yes he is beaming around tonight.
Hey, I'm here now. Glad to see you here, Coreen. Carol keeps a nice place and she has an open-door policy.
Hubs' gig is Friday evening, the band will be here for practice tomorrow night. Tonight he's got a business dinner and I wasn't invited! But I've been busy feeding and walking pups.
I think he has something he wants to say but he's still pondering on it.
Maggie has been spending more time out from under the bed. I am starting to wonder if she is jealous of my computer.
Over the years I have learned to let the other
side speak without interupting. (at least I try)
It took time---since it was almost second-nature to just jump in & try to make a point.
I have been known to have a 'smart mouth' but I
have mellowed.
I think you may be right.
In my family we all talked at the same time and he who was loudest was right.
Not interrupting is so difficult, when you have something to say.
No, I don't think so Carol. Maggie doesn't see any difference, whether you're focusing on the computer, TV, book or what, as long as you're giving her a little touch and attention between posts. What's important, is that you're sitting there next to her.
Hey Coreen, You can show off that smart mouth over here. Makes things interesting. :)
But interupting doesn't let you win the argument---so I have tried to learn to listen
to the other side.
Remember I come from an environment where one
side usually wants to win.
As far as Maggie, if she is like one of my
cats, she sure knows when she is not being
paid attention to. My Cassie will stand on
the keyboard when she thinks she is being
ignored.
The chat at TM today got me to break out my copy of Jimmy Carter's memoir of his mother, Miss Lillian, a quintessential Southern woman. I made a post over there that I won't repeat here. Instead, I want to share the opening of Chapter 16 of the book which reads, "Although she was a registered nurse who had operated a nursing home herself, Mother was a surprisingly difficult hospital patient."
I let out a hoot because ain't it the truth! Carol, you must have a good opinion on this. My mother-the-nurse is completely intractable when it comes to her own ailments. The family always turns to me when Mom gets sick because they mistakenly believe I can get her to behave. I can't. If there is a secret to nursing a nurse, I'd love to know what it is.
Cats don't taking being ignored very well.
Oops, that was suppose to be, take being ignored. It's hard to watch, America's Got Talent, talk to my sister on the phone and type at the same time.
At least not without a few boo boos.
I'm a horrible patient and it's a good thing I haven't had to be one very often. I did do a little time last year but I was so drugged up that I entertained the other nurses on the floor at night. I usually run into a lot of my old students when I go to any hospital around here.
It's funny because they are still intimidated by me and I never tried to be intimidating.
Carol, is that your sister-the-twin? Will we get to hear from her? I have twin stories too - my brothers are identical twins.
Yes, not interrupting. That's the one I have to work on. A very weird trait for a person who is basically an introvert and a book-worm.
Ivy, Your mom sounds like quite a lady. Are you two alike? Maybe your family thinks she'll listen to you over others.
Ivy, I never would have guessed it... an introvert. Book worm yes. How else would you be so smart.
No, my twin may check in from time to time but she will not contribute. Are your brother's identical or fratenal twins.
Maybe by a terrible patient, you just mean bossy Ivy?
I'm not a difficult patient. I don't want to bother anyone and I'm not used to anyone doing anything for me. It makes me uncomfortable. I hope I'm never in a position where I have to be taken care of.
There was a time last year where I was scared I would be incapacitated. I would rather be dead.
Chloe, Yes, thanks, my mom is quite a lady. She'll be 79 on Sunday. I think we're a lot alike. She may have more strength than I do; there are life events she has survived that I'm not sure I would have. Must be that nursing training.
Does she live close Ivy?
Carol, I don't think you'll ever be helpless. I've heard you express that kind of fear before, and I'm a firm in my belief that what we think about most, will manifest itself. Therefore, I think it's important to monitor our thinking, and that we're careful to correct it, when possible. Now I often fail at it, but this particular fear you're expressing, I think you should let it go.
You're right Chloe
Carol, my brothers are "mirror image identical twins." One right right-handed and the other is left-handed. One is introverted and the other is the extroverts' extrovert. They are so close they think each others thoughts. To this day, they can call on the phone, and not say a word, but still be communicating. It's an amazing thing to witness. I don't think they've ever had a falling out. Closest they came was last year when one went to Tibet for missionary work, and the family did not want him to go. That was patched up quickly.
Mom moved out to Colorado a few years ago. Both my brothers are close by, one of them only a mile. She's still completely independent, but he looks in on her daily.
That's nice that they are living so close by Ivy. That must relieve your mind.
Chloe, My mom is definitely bossy and doesn't like taking orders herself. She's also very skeptical about the competence and judgment of doctors.
You all are from Alabama?
or Colorado?
Ivy, Now I know she's smart. Being skeptical is very important. Being bossy is important too. How else are you going to get your way. :)
Ivy, that must be the most unbelievable sensation, having another person that is a mirror image of you. Constant validation.
It must have been something special to watch, when you were growing up. Did it make you feel left out?
Is anybody watching the Chris Matthews' special on the Kennedy brothers? Having last month spent a whole day at the Presidential Library in Boston, I am very intrigued.
Time for me to go read.
(Solar - 89, 88, 87...)
Can't get it out at the camp. Only network.
I'm learning to watch a few things on network.
Chloe, I don't think I felt left out because I am the oldest. I knew how to throw my weight around with them. But it was often bedlam because they were indeed double trouble. I would retreat to the sanctity of my room with my books and let chaos reign!
Chloe, do share...what are you reading? Paper or Kindle?
control vs. chaos.
nite
Kindle Ivy. It took me about a year to get used to it. I started out like others, and missed the paper. But then, convenience won. If I run out of books at midnight, I can quickly download one. Now I prefer it.
How much older are you than your brothers Ivy?
Chlo,
Are you still there?, I have a deal for you, but only good for tonight.
Our older sister just saw us as the two irritating brats that kept her from being an only child. She is 6 years older.
Tell me.
Can we listen in or should we leave the room?
Look who is jumping around now. You are moving around so much , that you are m aking me stable. I like being dizzy....sorta like Carol haha
You me those couple of tiny little posts I made to Jack. LOL
me=mean
Ok, here it is. When we get to 3-1-0 thats the winner, the other one has t o do the Moose call, loud and clear. at tm, ok?
2-1-0 that is
Carol, I'm a year older than them. Can you imagine having three babies in diapers at once...no pampers no less? Have no idea how my parents did it.
I'm sure I'll hear you loud and clear Solar. You'd better not forget. And if one of us makes an error, and jumps a number, or repeats the same one twice, they automatically lose. OK?
don't argue with me, when Im trying to start an argument with you.....
Argue, who me?
Ok, thats a deal, and should be kind of fun, cos we might not be on at the same time....you do know how all of this started, don't you?
I'm lost here. What do those numbers mean? Sorry but this multimedia, multitasking has ruined what was left of my brain.
That must have been a challenge for you mom Ivy.
.. and only 'once' a day Solar.
change that, we should both be on, so that way we can know where we are, just keep in mind the last time it was counted down, right?
Right. But it doesn't matter if just one of us is here, because we'll see it later.
ok, the rules are set, now Sally gal. nite
Carol, This was a coincidence. Solar said on TM once, that he sometimes counts backwards to clear his mind to fall asleep.
I have done the same thing for years. Count backwards, and not start at 100, but at 98 or 99.
Once each. You haven't done your numbers yet tonight. Nite everyone (again).
No, I told you that i did not know why I never started counting from 100; it was always from 99. You said that you did the same. A few weeks later. you started at 98, that was right after we were being wise asses...thats what I thought you were doing when you started counting from 98,97,96. I kept it going.....
You're the one that started at 98. Not me. So you're the one that messed everything up. As usual!
You want to start over?
hahaha, give emma a hug, and tell her I said, 86-85-84
Ok. Thanks for being a good sport.
yes, start over, and now that the others know, they want in,,,what can we charge
Do you guys have a digital camera?
omg, and after I called you a good sport. Nothing needs to change. Same rules, more people.
You do know we're probably the only ones crazy enough to be discussing this, don't you?
Why Carol?
I think you guys are speaking in tongues but that's OK.
I know, but when it was sorta private, it din't seem thata way, now it seems a little crazy...so who cares. We are talking about orbs, ghosts and night riders in the sky, what i s so crazy? Bethy might tell me that im being silly again.....
I liked it when I saw you started the numbers the other day, that it was sorta private. This is Carols site, and I wasn't about to not answer a direct question.
Just think of something else. I'll watch for it.
Now I'm really leaving.
What did I say, im not a good sport anymore, sorry if I said something wrong.
Chloe it's not my site. It's just a place to meet and ponder.
Oh I see, was not on purpose.
You know Solar. You could have posted your numbers, and not have come up with this whole rule thing. Things were going just fine, but no....
I didn't mean it that way Carol. You've done such a good thing here.
Ok, you're still a good sport. I told you I'd never scold you, and I won't... unless we're in me being mean to you role play.
sure, goodnight now.
I was asking about the digital camera because I was pondering an idea. Haven't fleshed it out yet but something like a project for a weekend where we pick a subject like texture or leaves or anything and each go out an photographic something with whatever the subject is. Then we could even look for some poem or something to go with it. Get you guys to put something on the blog. Just a ponder.
Carol, how would we get the pictures to you?
Solar, You've got mail.
Carol, That sounds good. I'm going to read your post about it again tomorrow, when I'm not so tired.
(I feel so silly, having said good night a half dozen times, but..)
You just have to go to the top of the page to where it says new post. Click on. Follow the directions. It's like C-bobs blog I think. Anyone should be able to add a post. On the post page it has a place to add a picture. You download from your computer or camera....
If I can do it, anyone can.
I don't have a "new post" button on my screen...let me try to sign in.
Carol, It seems to me posting threads is exclusive to you as the "owner."
I can post on C-Bob's blog. Sign in and see if at the top right of the screen you have New Posts up there.
It's on the bar across the top
If it is not there I will try to figure out how to make it be there. Many people post on Bob's site and it is the same type of blog.
Let us know, Carol. I don't have that on the top bar.
Did you sign in?
Yes, I'm signed in...I meant to mention
I found it. I just have to add the email addresses of those who want to post to the blog. I'll get them tomorrow and then it will give you that New Post up on that tool bar. I hope.
I better get to sleep. Nite, nite and sweet dreams.
As hubs says, time to head for the barn.
