Happy New Year?

Yeah..I know I’m a little late with that greeting but I needed some time to ponder it.  Is it possible..in a presidential election year.. to have a happy new year…with these morons running for president??

Some got excited last election year with the promise of hope and change..which turned out to be a delusion.  Did Obama know that from the get go or was he just as naïve as the rest of us?  Well.. fool me once.. shame on you….fool me twice..shame on me.  Remember that little saying?

Even though Obama is nothing to brag about..there’s absolutely nothing in the current group of Republican monkeys  who could do better and it’s amazing that that is the best that they could come up with.

Tonight they start with a state that’s not very representative of the rest of the country to start the process.. but ya gotta start somewhere.  The candidates and Super Pacs spent 16 million for 119 thousand caucus goers to vote in Iowa..about $134 per person.

And none of these idiots running for president are talking about the corruption of the political process which I think is the most serious problem in politics today.  Can you think of a more serious problem? And since they aren’t talking about this problem..none of them plan on fixing it.  They are all benefiting from these Super Pacs that can provide hideous amounts of money from anonymous donors to help finance their campaigns.  Hey..this money might be coming from foreign countries..since that is where most of the American capital is going.  If China isn’t contributing..they certainly should be.

There still might be hope.  It is still..we the people who vote.  Are we going to let Super Pacs..supported by God only knows who..pick our candidates?  There is one guy..Buddy Roemer..who refuses Super Pac money..who wants to get this corruption issue into the debates but no one will let him.  The other politicians don’t want that information in the debates.  The MSM most likely doesn’t either since they profit from all that Super Pac money used to buy ad time.  It’s up to us..we the people.

If anyone really wants the politicians to address this issue..go to this website and sign the petition:

No hope to ever fix the problem unless it is discussed.

Hope this New Year provides you with some happiness, luck, good fortune, good health, regardless of the outcome of any political events...

All the talk about corrupting the process, well
once those that cry the loudest get to the top..they all do the same...but if you feel
that doing something, like signing a petition,
might help, go for it...but know that you will see those pigs flying overhead long before
money is removed from the political process...

Coreen..I've been accused more than once of being an idealist. Some people really don't like me because of it.

I remember when I was leaving one job and had this boss who I never got along with. I asked her when I was leaving why we didn't get along. She said because of your ideals and she raised her hand high in the air. I thought...am I suppose to be ashamed of that??

That was at the job where I started a very successful diabetes ed center for the hospital. I left because she wanted me to stop doing the teaching I was doing and quit my NP program and set up clinics all over SW La. I asked her what was in it for me and she said nothing. Wasn't exactly a great offer so I resigned.

Can't help it if I'm not satisfied settling for shit.

The country is ready for some serious changes but many are OK settling for shit and that's just what we got.

I'm doing the only thing I can to spread the word that maybe someone has a better idea. Can't do very much.

Buddy was on for a couple of minutes on Current..Young Turks last night. Granholm was listening to him and she seemed really impressed and said that the Twitter lines should lighten up with people tweeting to get this guy in the debates.

Today Buddy had a minute on Morning Joe and they said he has one of the most compeling messages in the campaign.

You really can't hear this guy without getting excited with his message unless you are profiting from the current corruption and most of us aren't. I just want that message heard.

Roemer even has a good sense of humor. Something I appreciate:

Buddy Roemer Is Hilarious

Sorry about your watch Jan. You said it was a Timex?? It didn't take a lickin and keep on tickin?

I quit watches because every time I bought one..it died within a couple of weeks. It might be that I was only paying about $12 a watch. Then I bought a Timex..paid about 3 times that and it lasted about a month..not even three times longer. I gave up. My Iphone keeps my time now.

On a less light note..SF broke his hip today. He fell at the NH. I don't know how since he was either tied in bed or in his wheelchair every time I went.

He fell just a short while ago and busted his head open again. He's done that about 4 times in the last 6 months. That's why he's tied up.

He's having his hip fixed in the morning. I went to see him. He had nothing to say. He was guiet in his bed but when I got there he started picking at his ECG wires. I asked him not to. The more I asked..the more he picked at it until he had all the pads removed. He had been in that thing all day but 10 minutes after I got there he had removed it. He seems to enjoy just being bad when I'm around.

Modern Family is on tonight. Hope you remember Jan. I certainly need a good laugh today.

With Alzheimers..I sometimes wonder if the real person has left the building and just left their body behind. I really hope so.

When I see my SF..I don't recognize anything except the shell he left behind.

Carol said...

SF made it thru surgery. He'll never walk again but he made it thru surgery. Sad and the Doc said when someone his age has a broken hip the life expectancy is about 6 months to 1 year. It often isn't that long especially with someone with no real will to live.

I've seen old people..his age..who are very active who do live for a good bit longer.

Carol said...

Jan..sorry I forgot to put up a comment on the last post that I put up a new post. Maybe it's cuz I know you guys aren't that interested in politics.

I'm sorry but Mr. Roemer's message has inspired me and so did your Margaret Mead who said that a few committed people could make a difference. Yeah...when pigs fly.

Carol said...

Please post your new pics here. I feel better that at least I tried.

Carol said...

At least Buddy has gotten on a few shows. He was on Brashir..on CNN yesterday..where Brashir said that by taking no big pac money he was shutting himself out of the political process. He was proving that without that corruption..he didn't have a choice. But Buddy is committed to his principles even if he will lose. Not many around these days with that kind of commitment..but no one can hear him and know about that.

Kinda ironic that he's from Louisiana. We're not famous for cool politicians.

The only reason I know where Buddy is talking is because I follow his website every day.

Carol said...

Buddy is on MSNBC..Morning Joe.. this morning..I just heard.. and on Rachel Maddow this evening. Little progress.

Carol said...

Heard some lady on the news yesterday say he really liked Huntsman and wanted to vote for him but since he didn't have a chance.. she would vote for someone else. Is that the attitude of the people in this country?

Carol said...

I've watched more cable news..mainly because I've been chasing Roemer and because there's absolutely nothing else on.

I checked into the M&M channel..HLN..yesterday and they were airing some dumb videos Casey Anthony put up. She's making some video diary. They bitch about her wanting attention again but they are the one's giving it to her. She was on every channel I switched to and I had to keep switching because I never want to hear about her again.

Carol said...

I have some exciting football to look forward to this weekend. Saints play the Lions on Saturday and LSU plays Bama on Monday.

jan said...

Carol, something strange is going on. Even though you put up this new post, when I went into the blog, on my end it kept going to the old post. That is strange. I will see if it does that now that I have responded here.

jan said...

when I come back on, it keeps going to previous post.

jan said...

Sorry to hear about SF.

jan said...

...and Arkansas plays Kansas State in cotton bowl tonight.

jan said...

I too do not want to hear about Casey Anthony again. The media just keeps stirring this up. Give it a break! who cares any longer.

Carol said...

Jan..considering what's on TV..I'll be watching that game also. I do like Arkansas when they're not playing us.

Carol said...

What an awful day I had today. This afternoon I had 20 patients to see in 2 hours and some were very high maintainance. One guy was talking to the floor..literally. I guess he had some eye contact issues. I almost had to lay on the floor to hear him but if I did..I'd still be down there.

Carol said...

There wasn't one simple foot fungus in the bunch and believe me I was praying.

Carol said...

To top it off..I was walking out of one of my clinic doors. I needed to crip race to my truck to get 5 bucks to put into a football pool they had. Some idiot put a prison mat..folded over on the floor..right outside the door. I flipped over it. Probably rated a 9.5 for poise and agility.

As I headed for the floor..I watched my life flash before my eyes...even had time to picture myself in a room next to SF.

I bounced up pretty fast..actually faster than I've been able to move in a while now. Might have loosened a few things up. Didn't feel any pain..except to my ego. I did slam my right wrist into the floor but it still was able to do a lot of writing so it's OK.

Carol said...

Coreen..I just saw a Geico commercial where there was this pig flying. Actually it was attached to one of those aerial things but close enough to flying. Does that count as "when pigs fly"? I think I'll count it.

Carol said...

Since I'm sure you guys aren't watching for him..checking this out. It's short:

My Buddy on Morning Joe

Carol said...

Jan..what you were doing on the other post for two days was what I used to call "snipe hunting". I used to do it often on Trailmix when I hung out there. I'd be typing away and everyone else had moved on to the next blog post. I sometimes think they failed to mention the New Thread on purpose.

If you've never heard of snipe hunting..it's a little game where they fool someone into going out into the woods with a bag and some bait in the bag..at dark.. to catch snipe..a bird.

One person holds the bag and the others..at some distance..circle that fool holding the bag.. clapping sticks together to herd the snipe toward the bag. Then they run off leaving the bag holder in the dark woods.

When I was a kid at Camp Fire camp I had the opportunity to hold the bag for some snipe hunting. I probably voluntered. I was pretty suspicious from the get go. They used pickle relish for bait and even my kid mind didn't think that that sounded like a very good bird bait.

While I was holding the bag..I kept a close eye on the others and saw them taking off one by one. I wised up pretty fast and I think I ended up beating them all back to camp.

For some reason, my screen was not showing the new post. Even now when I get onto the blog, It shows the previous post. Not sure what to do about it.

jan said...

Ok, I fixed it. Its an Apple thing.

jan said...

I have heard of Snipe hunting. Did not know what it was exactly. Sounds like you lucked out today in your tripping on the mat.

jan said...

ate too much tonight. My stomach is upset. think I will take a zantac.

Carol said...

Pretty good game Jan.

Carol said...

Glad you aren't taking those proton pump inhibitors Jan ie prilosec..Nexium..et al. Read they suck the calcium right out of your hips. Even Dr Oz mentioned that.

SF took them for years and he's broken lots of bones over the last several years..which is unusual for a man.

Carol said...

I like Zantac also.

Carol said...

Don't know why you can't pull up the blog post. Maybe someone is censoring it. The powers that be certainly don't want Buddy's message of big money corruption in politics included in the debate. Every time he meets a milestone for inclusion in a debate, they change the rules.

It looks like the only candidates we will get to hear from and choose from are those that big money allows us to. They pick the candidates. Pretty pityful situation.

jan said...

I had an icon on my computer for the Swamp - and when I clicked on the icon - it went to old post. I removed the icon, pulled up your blog and put in a new icon for it - and abba kadabra - it is fixed.

It was a good game. I did not watch much as I was having the stomach problem. I heard John whooping a good bit so knew it was good. I did not eat wisely last night so that could have been it. I feel fine this morning.

jan said...

John takes prilosec regularly, I will tell him about this.

I have stomach problem on occasion so just take zantac. Most of time I eat pretty healthy but if I eat crap any more, I pay for it. I am going to start fixing brown rice. I think it is pretty good for the stomach. I watched a taped thing from Dr. Oz yesterday and he was talking about stomach cancer. My dad died from this - of course he was 90. He loved meat and in his lifetime ate a lot of grilled meats esp beef.

I am very afraid of stomach cancer. I did not know there is a gene for it. Oz and others recommend lots of orange foods to prevent it - oranges, carrots, sweet pot. and the crucerferous veggies. I already eat plenty of carrots and sw pots. I don't eat oranges - too much acid. I am going to start cooking some brown rice. I have heard it is good for stomach - also good to mix veggies with br rice for meals. I eat a lot of soup too.

jan said...

I do repeat myself.

Carol, Glad you have a weekend to recover from your bad week. Don't take any calls from work.

Carol said...

I got up this morning and I can't walk without my crutch again and barely with just one crutch. I must have wrenched my dang foot yesterday when I fell over that stupid mat. I was surprised when all that kinda hurt was my wrist. I'm really pissed.

What gives? In the 7 years I've worked at the jail no one has ever put a prison mat on the floor there. They do lay them or stack them in a lot of other dumb places. I've tried to tell them that those mats shouldn't even be kept on the floor. Too many germs.

jan said...

Yikes! I would be pissed too. Do you know a good lawyer?

jan said...

Had a plumbing problem this morning. I had just washed a load of clothes. We went for a walk. when we returned there was water standing in both sinks. I checked the washer - it had finished and there was water standing in it. I guess the sinks and washer plumbing lines are connected. Called a plumber - he just finished. Got if fixed. He said this had probably been building for some time - said there was lint and some goop (prob grease) in the lines. He cleaned them out. All is well again. So glad this did not happen Christmas day or just as we were leaving on a trip. Cost $127. not too bad.

I got my exercise taking the clothes out of the washer and outside to wring them out. Took them to laundromat to finish washing and drying.

Had planned on getting a new watch today and a few pair of reading glasses at either TJMaxx or Costco. Both have sets of 3 glasses for under $20. I think the ones at TJ are $12. Will go tomorrow.

Carol said...

Sorry Jan but that plumbing bill wasn't bad. Seems like it cost that for them to just drive out my way.

Sams has readers for 5/$20. I've gone thru many of them.

Carol said...

I'm really distressed about my ankle. That fall set me back about 5 weeks. I was able to crip walk pretty good without a crutch and today..I can barely walk with a crutch.

I didn't do any of my chores today. That also distresses me. And I don't think I'll be much better tomorrow.

Carol said...

Now on to some serious issues...

Who Dat Think They Gonna Beat Dem Saints?

Carol said...

Wow! Saints won 45-28 but they had me a little nervous in the first half.

And Buddy won the debate. Well..they won't let him debate so he just has to tweet his responses.

Buddy Tweets his debate responses

Carol said...

If anyone is curious about some of Buddy's responses in the debate that he wasn't invited to...

“States should have right to legalize gay marriage. Civil unions should come w/ same rights as married couples in states that don’t.

There are too many kids that need parents. Gay couples should have the right to adopt.

Huntsman, we need 10K troops in Afghanistan for “intelligence gathering?” Come on

Ron is right. The Patriot Act is unconstitutional

Veterans healthcare is an issue. We made a commitment to vets and we aren’t following through

Huntsman. The most unfair trader is China. They exploit cheap labor, child labor, lax environmental laws. Why are you so soft on them?

Perry is as much of an outsider as Romney is a crusader for the middle class”

It's kinda weird that Buddy calls himself a Republican but maybe once upon a time they were a sane party.

jan said...

Congrats on Saints win.

jan said...

Carol, I would scream about that mat. That has set you back several weeks or months in your recovery.

I am all for the gay and gay parent issues. It will happen - just don't know when.

Carol said...

Jan..Louisiana has allowed gay people/couples to adopt children for some years now.

jan said...

I am not up on these issues. I think NM and the West in general are way ahead of the southern states on recognition of human rights issues such as these. At UNM house hold partners have benefits like spouses. I do think they have to show some evidence of a committed relationship. Because we have different last names, we have to show our marriage license for John to use the univ pool and other benefits. Since he had medicare he was not on my insurance here. I truly know little to nothing about adoption by gay people or couples. My personal beliefs are there should be no difference based on sexual orientation. The only laws I know of related to adoption of children relate to Indian law.

jan said...

Having lived in OK, TX, LA, & AR. I can tell you that NM (in general) is much more accepting of people from different races, religions and of other sexual orientations than any other state I have lived in.

Carol said...

I'm happy to report that my ankle is back the the status it was before my mat flip episode. I don't understand why I couldn't put any pressure on it yesterday but I won't question it. I thank the Universe. I still used the motor cart at Wally World..wasn't going to press my luck.

Carol said...

I've been hankering for a new smart phone because my old one was getting rusty. I did research because I didn't want another Iphone. There are things I didn't like about Iphone ie there are videos that wouldn't play on my last phone.

I had decided on a Samsung Galaxy S II. I got one today a Walmart and when I got home and tried to set it up..I couldn't get the voice mail to work. I pulled up a tutorial and followed the directions but no go. Since all the phone stuff has to work right being on call..I brought it back. Even the girl at the store couldn't get it to work.

Those darn phones are so complicated for us older people and I don't have the patience to start over learning something new so I went back to Iphone and got the new 4GS. No setting the voicemail up on it. I was also able to put all my contacts from the old one on when I hooked it up to the computer.

This one is definitely an improvement on my 3G. It's the white one also Coreen..even though you can't tell in it's blue Otter Box. That's the protective case I need because I'm a clutz.

Carol said...

I wanted to try that Siri..the girl in the new Iphone that you can ask to do things for you. It's a new feature on the 4GS.

You might have heard about Siri. Two things I had heard is that she wouldn't find an abortion clinic in New York..so they suspect she must be pro-life and I she told some 12 year old boy to shut the F... up. Both I read in the news.

So tonight..I decided to give her a try. Directions said to hold the phone up to my ear and ask a question. I asked her to call my friend and gave the name. I happen to know 3 other people with the same name..one's SF bookkeeper and the other is the dog lady. Siri came on and gave me the three choices..I told her the one I wanted and she called her. That's pretty cool.

Now I have someone here beside Maggie to talk to. Soon..Siri might be telling me..to shut the F... up.

jan said...

so cool Carol.

Oh..and yesterday..I had more help from these two young girls at Walmart when I bought my two phones and they don't make commissions like they do at the At&t store. I get a lot of misinformation at the At&t store. And the phones are cheaper at Walmart and they gave me no flack when I bought the phone back and exchanged it.

Coreen said...

Carol, glad to hear that your latest injury didn't cause a relapse...

And about that Iphone...good choice....still
can't justify the monthly fees just to have a new white Iphone, but trust me, when I decide
that will be the one...Siri or not, it has to be the white one!...

Did I mention that the new car is white diamond...

I really like the Onstar phone in the car though, just tell it to dial the person &/or # & it does...

And one done, one to go for your teams Carol...
Good luck...

Carol said...

Coreen..for the Saints..we have three more.. don't we? For LSU..just one. I asked Siri who would win the game tonight and she said she couldn't answer that question..would I like her to research the net for the answer. I said NO.

I also asked her about our weather this morning as she said.."bring an unbrella" and she pulled up the weather. It's currently coming down in buckets and it's been most of the day. My kitchen ceiling is leaking. I need a new roof over that section of the place.

Normally..I'd be really distressed over that but I'm getting used to the sky falling on me lately. I've learned to just roll with the punches.

Carol said...

I'm suppose to go to an LSU football watching party but I'm not sure with this weather. I'm not sure I can get down the road. Even heavier rain is headed here.

Coreen said...

When my team is in it, it is one game at a time...so for now, you have one more to go until next game for the Saints...

My curiosity has been piqued about the Broncos...the Tebow thing, the 316 thing is very eerie...needless to say I would rather not have the patriots win next week, which if
denver could win would be a huge thing...

Was wondering about you when I saw the weather
said lots & lots of rain around Houston...stay
safe girl...

Meanwhile we are going into the 2nd week of January with no snow!!!...wonderful...but the
early reports for rain midweek are now being
danced around with them saying possible a little snow to start, then cold rain, then ending in a little snow by Friday....since the temps are not going to stay as high as they have been so far...

Needless to say, I am hoping for no snow for another week....

Carol said...

Monsoons won't let up so I put a TV dinner in the oven..the one dry spot in the kitchen..so far. Gonna miss out on fun and good food along with watching the game with friends. poo poo.

Guess I'll live blog the game here. At one point it was pouring so hard it even cut out my satelitte signal.

Carol said...

It's raining so hard that I can't even keep a satelitte signal. Gees.

Carol said...

Not happy with this game so far.

Carol said...

We need Drew Brees.

Carol said...

Bama up by 6 and that's a lot a score to make up with these two teams. LSU needs to do something!

Carol said...

I'd put Jarrett Lee in for Jefferson. Jefferson looks stunned.

Carol said...

Get Jefferson off the field!

Carol said...

I don't even recognize this team

Carol said...

Even my TV doesn't want to finish this game..it keeps changing channels on me.

Carol said...

Congrats Ivy..even though this just makes us even.

Carol said...

You would think Miles would do something to try to change the MO.

Carol said...

I think they should subtract a few mil from Miles salary after tonights game.

Carol said...

I thought that that big mass of heavy rain clouds had finally moved on but one little stray cloud found me and is it's pouring again. How appropriate for how this day has gone.

jan said...

Does not look good for the home team. Sorry Carol.

Hope you are safe Carol with all that rain.

Interesting article in the Daily Beast.

Mark McKinnon: Presidential Primary Debate Process Has Gone Rogue

Something I found interesting I found in that article...

"The selection criteria for the debates have been constant only in the candidates excluded. Charles “Buddy” Roemer, former governor of Louisiana and a 2012 Republican candidate for president, was not allowed in a single debate. Meanwhile, Herman Cain, a fast-food executive was invited to participate in every debate until he suspended his campaign. Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson also was routinely excluded, though he did pass a 1 percent polling threshold and participated in two debates. (Why is it that Johnson could meet a 1 percent threshold but not Roemer, though they shared similar backgrounds? A national random-sample poll was conducted with the first and last names switched. “Gary” Roemer received 2 percent of the vote, theoretically qualifying him for most of the early debates. And “Buddy” Johnson received zero votes, suggesting the real problem for Roemer in qualifying for the debates may simply have been the name “Buddy”—a nickname voters may find unpresidential.)

While difficult to prove, all three excluded GOP candidates—Roemer, Johnson, and Fred Karger—make claims of institutional discrimination. Though various poll standings were used to determine participants, not all candidates were included in the polls. And given the insignificant difference between a 1 percent or 2 percent polling number, particularly early in the primary calendar, it is easy to question the entire system upon which the criteria for entering into primary debates has been constructed"

And it's interesting that most of those who claim to be political pundits and most voters only pay attention to those candidates that the UNKNOWN ultra rich and the media tell them they can pay attention to.

And we voters try to vote for the least dangerous of the bunch. In this bunch..I don't think there is one.

IMO what we have here is a pseudo-democracy.

Carol said...

Haven't looked out my window to see if I'm in the middle of the river yet. Would it surprise me??? No.

It's interesting that none of your comments were there last night. I didn't just miss them..they weren't there.

It was just a girl..alone with her thoughts..many pyrex dishes full of rainwater..and a crappy game. Don't want to talk about that.

Carol said...

Just one little comment about the game..if you remember..LSU's season started with Jefferson being arrested for being involved in a bar brawl. Jarrett Lee came in and saved the day. He helped win the first 4 games..got the ball rolling. Then he made a few mistakes in the first LSU/Alabama game and out he went for the season. Wam bam..no thank you man. Oh..they did put him in to take a knee at the end of one game.

Last night..I really think Miles should have put Lee in for Jefferson..who looked like he hit too many bars the night before. But noooooo. I think the Universe wanted to give Lee a chance to redeem himself. Too bad Miles doesn't speak Universe.

Carol said...

Coreen..explain the "316 thing".

Carol said...

I linked that article last night that points a finger to the MEDIA for picking our candidates. They have a point.

Think back...Remember when Dr Dean was running and when he gave his pep talk to thank his helpers after he lost in Iowa? Member that? The media turned that pep talk into something that made Dean look psychotic and played it over and over and over.

They helped take Hillary out. They put Obama in. He made some of their legs tingle. If anyone attacked Obama they helped play that race card.

I don't care for Mitt but they are now skewing what he said about firing people.

The media picks our candidates and picks what will entertain us..ie Housewives..Kardasians..Casey Anthony..Tots and Tiarras. No one wants to watch that shit but that's what they shove down our throats.

Carol said...

And I'm still shaking my head that a womanizing pizza man that didn't seem to have a clue about much else..was all over the news..in the debates..picked as one of the interesting people..and a Governor..a 4 term congressman didn't get much of any news coverage..didn't get into any debates..wasn't included in any polls so he could get into any debates...

That doesn't bother anyone??? It really bothers me!

Coreen said...

No arguments about the state of politics & the
incestuous relationship with the media...pundits, reporters, commentators, etc...who dishonestly manipulate the coverage...for me every person who offers opinions reports the news (or more likely slants the coverage) should preface every time
they open their mouths by telling the audience
just who they favor before they speak/write....

And yes the Romney clumsy comment about firing
those that do not provide a person with service,is a perfect example of the media
manipulation/distortion that has become synonymous with politics...

It was taken out of context, by the media reporting it & compounded by its use by other
Republican candidates...

And while everyone wrings their hands and condemns negative ads...the fact that they work
on the voting public underscores just how
disengenuous the entire culture is...

Coreen said...

Not a Tebow/Broncos follower, but seems at some
point while in college Tebow wrote John 3:16 under his eyes in the black
chalk for whatever his reasons...(that is a Bible phrase...have no idea what John 3:16 says, but over the years
at various sporting events there have been
persons flashing that bible phrase

For years there was a guy at major golf events around the country who had rainbow wig on standing there holding a paper with the John 3:16
& naturally during the coverage, the media
paid attention...

Jan, maybe you can enlighten what that bible
phrase means...no idea how it relates to sporting events...

Back to Tebow, seems that during the playoff game win against the steelers, Tebow threw for
316 yards, each pass averaged 31.6 yds (coincidence but)...so there is the beginnings of a legend...that together with his 'tebowing' genuflecting at times in the games (not sure if it is whenever
he performs well or just at the end of a game)
has caused much discussion...at first mostly
negative by others who for whatever motives criticized the actions...

Rightly or not, those who are Christian saw
the negative attacks as a surrogate atttack
on them through Tebow who as you know has a
strong christian background...

Now if Tebow & the Broncos somehow continue to
win...the eerie nature of that relationship (3:16) will only become the stuff of legends...

Coreen said...

And add that during a super bowl game (don't know if it was last year or earlier) Tebow & I believe his mother were in some kind of ad
that was anti abortion or pro life (however you perceive that fight & however your views
may color your choice of words (not you personally Carol, but the way media reports
that fight)...so the media pounced on him then
& since he left college & entered the NFL there has been lots of sports guys saying he isn't any good...slamming him from the get-go
that he would never be a good/great QB...

Form your own conclusion but for reasons that
I certainly can't define he faced a tremendous
negative onslaught from the media & yet so far
this year he & his team (who I believe he gives
full credit) have come from behind & won several games they just should not have won...

So there you have either a storybook ending yet to be announced or you have a media hate
campaign that will be proven correct if he
does not keep winning...

As I said, if some way Broncos beat the Patriots next week...no telling what the legend
will become....(highly unlikely but you couldn't want for a better Hollywood script!)...

Coreen said...

Just put Tebow 316 in google & you shall
see how this has exploded...

but as I said I have no idea how that 3:16
relates to any sporting events...

>a

John 3:16 sign<a/<

Remember Carol, I go way back with sports....was a big golf nut...all those great looking blonde tanned guys on the golf circuit!!!...I have been to Pebble Beach & Winged Foot...cathedrals for golfers...as well
as many Florida courses....

My favs as I have mentioned before...

1. Joe Namath...I truly loved that guy...
2. Jack Nicklaus - golf #1 best ever forget
Tiger Woods
There was a real cutie I did get to meet
in Fl who never won a lot..his name was
Forest Fezler...he was so cute...blonde,
tanned, thin, light eyes...
3. Jimmy Connors tennis
4. Reggie Jackson baseball my 1st baseball
hero...met him in Fl. when the Yankees
wintered near Ft. Lauderdale...his leg
circumference was a big as my entire body
seeing an athlete close up was a revelation
5. Don Mattingly one of the best ever Yankees
'the Captain'#23...
6. Magic Johnson basketball He was always a class act...
7. Dr. J - basketball he was poetry in motion
8. Walt Frazier - basketball the best dressed
NY Knick (when they were a great team) ever

Now you know my absolute fav is Derek Jeter...he can do no wrong in my eyes...EVER...so anyone who critizes him in my
presence usually has to back off...I get really annoyed!!!& well in attack mode....

Yes Coreen..I'm familiar with Bobby Hebert. Pronounced a-bear around these parts but not over in Texas.

I listen to Bobby often.. before and after the Saints game. Now..he has that Cajun accent. A real coon ass he is.

Interesting that he also thought that Miles should have put in Lee. I certainly don't know what I'm talking about but anything to shake things up. I was aggravated all season that Lee got the boot earlier. Not fair at all. I know it's not about fair but he got us to the first 4 wins.

I never felt like we were that strong with quarterbacks anyway. It was defense and special teams.

Not much was discussed at work today. Very quiet. I did hear someone mention that maybe they threw the game. I'm sure no one really thought that but it certainly didn't look like the same team.

BTW..where did you hear Hebert?

Carol said...

Interesting stuff about Tebow. I remember when that abortion commercial came out and the controversy. I read in Wiki that his mom was carrying a baby and had an abrupcio placent. May not be spelled right. Jan can fix it. I'm no OB nurse.

His parents were missionarys at the time and her Doc recommended an abortion but she wouldn't do that and the baby was OK. I assumed that baby must have been Tebow. Good reason to be against abortion.

I do believe that abortion is a personal decision. I don't think I could ever do it but it's between the person and their conscience.

Here's a Buddy interview Carol...It's from
Hot Air, you may not like the website since it
is not pro-dems...

A different view of things never hurts...

Carol, you do know that your Buddy says things
very similar to a guy you all (well over at TM anyway) hates (don't remember if you said you couldn't stand him, but I think maybe you did)...Can you guess who I am referring to...reach back & you should know a
guy I would consider before just about any of the current contestants...both repubs & the pres...

Maybe your Buddy will get in a debate, he wouldn't be any worse than the likes of Perry,
Bachmann....yada, yada.... at least it would
provide a fresh face/voice for these endless
events...

Carol said...

I've heard some of these Repub turkeys are discussing outlawing contraception? Is that true? I'd certainly like for them to sit with me for a couple of weeks and listen to my patients. Many young women in their 20s with 5-6-7+ kids..in possession of none..farmed out to relatives or the State. Most of these women are drug addicted. The thought of manditory contraception runs thru my mind.

These politicians don't want contraception or abortions but they are also against welfare..foodstamps..healthcare..etc. Can't have it both ways.

Carol said...

Coreen..I'll check out that link. Probably would have found it since I follow Buddy every day. I find everything he's done and said. I follow his Facebook page..his campaign page and Google him every day. Haven't had time yet today to catch up.

And I've learned you can't go by the label Repub or Dem. They have pretty much merged except maybe for those red herring social issues..which I really don't think most of them really give a damn about..just a way to suck in certain naive groups. Manipulation. I now try to listen to the person instead. Not much Buddy says is anything close to anything I've ever heard a Repub say.

And..no..I'm not sure who you are talking about on TM. I think most sane people would appreciate Buddy. Can't understand why those who follow politics and pretend to care about politics and this country wouldn't check him out. Why just bitch about the same old morons??

Those of us who really care about this country should be looking for someone who is committed to change..and not just as retoric for campaigns. And someone willing to hold fast to his/her principles. If Buddy could just get a fair hearing. And that's why he can't. His message is too dangerous.. but one day..one day..when we all hit dead bottom..things will have to change. Wish it wouldn't have to come to having to hit dead bottom for that to happen.

In my small way I will keep trying. Be a little thorn in any sides of anyone I can find.

Today..I called the Registrar of Voters here to see when our primary was and when I can change my party affiliation so I can vote for Buddy. He's now my man!

Carol said...

And Coreen..have you looked at what Buddy has to say? I can't see anything he says as being something that most Americans would find undesirable...except for those who are very corrupt...or those who have sold their souls to the devil.

If you find something..I'd be thrilled to hear your opinion. Maybe I'm missing something.

Coreen said...

Gee Carol, mandatory contraceptives...now that
kind of seems like a less obvious way to say
sterilization...

The fact that women continue to have so many kids really has less to do with the availability or lack thereof of contraceptives, but I suspect
closer to a different value system (of their own self worth, of getting a way to get $$$ from the state/ federal govt) that infers, implies & rewards having kids as a source of
$$$ to them by way of 'welfare' & foodstamps...a system
that has devolved into creating & perpetuating
a class that will never get beyond that class...like it or not that is the reality....there are a whole bunch of persons who no matter what will never
raise above where they are...

You Carol, see that daily in your line of work...& that being so, do you think the current system in place as to births/welfare/$$$/foodstamps does not perpetuate a subclass, generations of 'families' (I use that word loosely) that are totally reliant on govt...state, local, fed, whatever..for their
very existence...

As far as the left spin about contraceptive banning by the repub candidates...pretty sure that spin likely came from the likes of huffpo
think progress in an effort to spin
the abc debate when georgie spent an inordinate amount of time on those tired old
social values issues, in what seemed a real
attempt to bait/trap them into some answer that then could be spun into oh my god, there
they go again (the repubs) wanting to push their awful values on us...I think it was santorum particularly who said he still believes states should have the right to pass
what laws the state wants...as to contraceptives...but the entire discussion was
moot & they all knew it...since the issue was
decided years ago by the supremes in a case out of CT Griswald...so it was an exercise in futility by george...& then kept alive by the likes of huffpo et al...when there is no issue of repubs wanting to ban contraceptives...

Carol said...

Didn't hear it on Huff Post. It was on one of the Cable news programs last night when I was drifting off to sleep.

Yes Coreen that thought did go thru my head when I think of all these drug addicted babies being brought into this cold hard world and then dumped off for someone else to take care of.

There is no answers to that problem. Can't just throw those women and babies out in the cold. I've pondered the problem for years and can't come up with any reasonable/humane solutions.

Most of these women aren't having these babies for any financial gain..they are just hooking for money to buy drugs or having unprotected sex because they are on drugs and they get pregnant. When they learn about the pregnancy while in jail..they aren't happy.

Coreen said...

Carol, what I listened to was that Buddy
wants to change China's status as far as trade...no problem with them not having any
prefered status...I am the ugly American...would love to see more mfg return to the us...& he wants to reduce the legal immigration numbers to pre-Clinton...all in an effort to create jobs for americans I gather...

nothing wrong with those views ...as I said
he is echoing what a guy who is not a candidate
has been saying & has been trashed for his views that is what my reference to TM was about...

Buddy is the 'poor man's version of'
the other guy who is one of thos 1%rs...like it or not...Donald Trump...who has been saying
similar things for awhile....

Unfortunately his view about $$$ & politics, I guess I consider naive...$$$ will Never,
yes never be removed from the game of politics...so those who want to play that game
need to learn the rules to get heard...sorry
if that upsets the applecart but that is reality check....

What I find more & more obnoxious is the class envy/class warfare being ginned up by this adminsitration & its minions...the media..

No positive results will come from pitting classes against each other...& before you say it...I have no respect for the OWS gang whatsoever...their tactics have been disgraceful & offered no solutions...

Carol said...

I saw the interview you linked. Good as usual. I did learn something new. Years back we had a Repub..David Duke..KKK leader..and a Dem.. Edwin Edwards..a self proclaimed crook..running for Governor. What a choice.

I learned that it was Buddy who came up with the saying..."vote for the crook..it's important". There were a lot of bumper stickers around the state at the time with that written on them. I voted for the crook..who I swore I'd never vote for..but what choice did I have..IT WAS IMPORTANT. The crook won.

Just recently..Edwards was released from the Federal pen. I think he got a 10 year sentence. Not sure exactly how long he actually served. I think he is currently still in work release. Some lawyers in town hired him. LOL.

Carol said...

Can't say that I really understand what the OWS people want. I hope it is to get the money out of politics.

One thing I do like is that people are starting to speak out and say that they aren't happy with the status quo instead of drinking beer and playing video games.

Coreen said...

The little I remember about your LA...not unlike the corrupt pols in other states CT included...it's always about the $$$, always follow the $$$$...that will never change...one of our govs...went to jail for a bit too...& yes he was a repub...I can't even remember his name, he had a radio talk show I think when he got out..don't think he was an attorney though...I have to go look up his name....I can't remember....I must be getting old!!!

And I had forgotten that David Dukes was from your state...where did he wind up...

Carol said...

And Coreen..I don't believe in sterilization but I do because in aggressive famly planning. Another issue with some Repubs.

It does need to be a method that doesn't require having to remember to take meds. These drug addicted women don't remember to take the meds that they need to take for their health much less to prevent pregnancy.

Coreen said...

Carol, have no idea what you mean by ..agressive family planning?....Another issue with some Repubs?..

Not sure what 'needs a method that doesn't require having to remember to take meds' means either...

Do you believe that these women should be relieved of all responsibility for themselves & what they do...is the explanation...oh they are screwed up on drugs so the collective we have to come up with a plan to enable them to continue the destructive habits...sorry just can't buy into that train of thought...

If you say they can't be responsible for their
own welfare, is it the collective we's responsibiility to subsidize this never ending behavior forever...that is the view that is detested by the so-called blue collar
working class that sees themselves working their a** off while those you describe get taken care of...free meds, free health care, free foodstamps, on & on...

And I really don't see a whole lot of speaking out by people giving up their beer & games...most people have miniscule interest in
politics & its reach...they just want to do their own thing, be left alone (libertarian think), not have their hard earned $$$ they struggle to make taxed away to support others...

It is not the upper middle class that has as
many problems with the welfare culture as those
who are struggling to maintain themselves & their own just out of the reach of the class below them...

AS you say you have seen the problem for years and can't come up with a 'reasonable/humane' solution...Unfortunately therein is the rub...the definition of 'reasonable/humane' has different meanings to different people...

Back to the opposing views of those that govern &/or want to...the divide widens as to what each side sees as the 'reasonable' answer to the problems...And no I know of no easy answers...

Carol said...

Look above your last post. I wrote about those two politicians. The Dem was the crook..the Repub was the KKK guy.

Jan.. Roemer.. and me also.. aren't crazy enough to believe he could win a presidential election. His main mission is to get the message out that money seriously corrupts the political process.

Just in case those stars on our map do represent real people who accidentally fall into the Swamp..I'm going to do my part to help.

This year it is even more of a problem..ever since the Supremes declared that corporations are people and can spend tons and tons of money. That means there will be tons and tons more corruption.

There are many others out there who are also excited by his message. Heard he will even be on Bill Maher later this year..before the California primary.

Carol said...

I'm glad to know that this little access problem wasn't Blogger censoring me and my message. I was close to contacting Jesse Ventura..Mr. Conspirarcy theory himself.

But there is clearly an attempt to keep Roemer's message under tight wraps. That means he is stepping on toes.

Having a rebel cause has perked my spirits lately.

Carol said...

And don't you think it's more than a little curious that the NH Primary voting results list Perry with his 1677 votes then below that is Bachmann's 300+ votes and completely skip Roemer's 900+ votes. Saw that on the Net.

When I was watching Jon Stewart last night.. he had a graphic with the same info and Roemer was missing. They don't even want to acknowledge he exists.

In your view of the world, Would you ban someone like beyonce
from being able to pay for that level of care (which by the way has not been verified that it happened as 'reported'...currently under investigation)...

& if in fact they were allowed to do so, is it their fault or the fault of the institution that allowed them to buy the space...which would then give the hospital $$$ to provide care for those that you say aren't getting care...by the way, in this neck of the woods, people are not turned away from hospitals, whether or not they have $$$...

Just who gets to decide what is acceptable and allowable...

And as far as how much the 'rich'
should be taxed...

Who gets to define 'rich'...

who gets to decide how much more that tax should be...is it 30%, 50%

Did anyone hear about Romney's incident back in the 80s when he and his family...going on vacation.. strapped his beautiful Irish Setter to the top of his station wagon for a 12 hour drive?

The kids got grossed out when they saw brown liquid running down the back of the vehicle. They stopped..hosed down the dog and then strapped him back up there.

A Fox news host asked him about the story..even the Fox guy was critical...surprising.

Romney said the dog loved the trip. I guess that was pure brown joy running down the back of his vehicle.

How someone treats their dog..tells me alot of that person.

I'd be happy if they could just eliminate many of the tax loopholes that many of the rich use.

I tend to believe Warren Buffet when he says he pays less taxes than his secretary pays. Was he lying?

You think that's fair?

Then you have people like Timmy boy who forget to pay taxes on certain income or count their kids summer camp as a deduction..until they get the job of SOT and have to pay it.

Carol said...

Rich people can spend extravagantly on anything they want..unless it puts other people out..and believe me Coreen.. those kind of things do happen.

In light of the current situation in the economy..how many people are suffering..I think it is a little in bad taste to flaunt something like that. I'd feel ashamed.

Coreen said...

Warren Buffett...

The reason he pays less in percentage than his secretary as he so often tells (though not sur he says it by percent, don't believe he has ever given actually $$ and/or % amounts to his story..is that he apparently has his $$$ paid to him as 'cap gains' which is taxed at 15%, less than if he paid himself as 'income' which in his income bracket would likely be taxed at 35%....
his secretary's salary is likely considered 'income' so it would be taxed in accord with whatever her tax bracket would be...

What bothers me about Buffett's
story is why doesn't he call his
pay income not cap gains...I know
the answer...so he pays less taxes...now he certainly still pays a huge
$$$ amount, but yes it is a lower % than those who's pay is called 'income'..,

If Warren Buffett feels he is not being taxed enough, he sure has the
authority to call his $$$ income &
be taxed at the higher bracket...
so what is his motive to spin this in such a disengenuous way....

Carol said...

Romney didn't deny the dog story in the interview. He was laughing..which he does have a tendency to do when he's anxious.

I didn't have anything against the Romney..before..cuz at one time or another..he seemed to agree with just about everyone's position on the issues. Just not sure which is real.

But dang..after hearing the dog story..I was almost crying. I gave the Magster a hug.

That might be the best fuel his opponents will have on him..people don't like a person who is cruel to animals..unless he's a good quarterback.

Coreen said...

Again that is a value-moral judgment that you are making about beyonce...which you are certainly entitled to have...but the rich
are different, they have the resources & they use them...

again I find the class envy/warfare rhetoric to be destructive...it accomplishes nothing but creating additional wedges to be exploited for personal gain by the likes of obama & his gang who want one thing
maintain power...to me it is a disgrace that he continues pitting
persons against each other...

Honestly I had no interest in the beyonce story whatsoever...still don't..to me it is an example
of the media pushing the rich/poor
agenda...

Carol said...

You know Coreen..I don't know that much about finance/taxes/money..I'm real anxious about money. That's why I lost so much.

But there's something wrong with the system when the rich are getting so much richer and the number of poor are growing so fast. And the middle class is shrinking. Something's wrong! That I know.

Coreen said...

Carol, I understand that you work
very hard for your income...

I also know you were impacted very
heavily in the 2008 financial fiasco...And I certainly hope that you have been able to retrieve some of those losses since that time...

I make no excuses for the way that the financial industry manipulated the system to the disadvantage of so many...

but I find nothing but
sheer hypocracy from Obama & all the media who are piling on attacking the rich v. poor when he & all the rest of them are the very same persons who are in esssence part of the so-called 1%
that are benefiting while they
slam others who are not their
'rich' allies...

The system is not going to change
no matter what the rhetoric that is being used to manipulate votes.. & that is all the rhetoric is for...

For you I do hope that you have been able to find someone there to trust in saving/investing your retirememt $$$ so that you will not face another devastating loss...

And on the other end of the spectrum..I had a young guy..criminal.. who came in to see me yesterday. In the process of gathering info..I find out this guy is filling for refunds on income that he doesn't make. Long story.

From what he told me he is filling bogus income tax returns. I read stories about that happening in the Federal prisons.

I told the guy that it was criminal and he could go to Federal prison for it. He just laughed.

I'm trying to figure out if I can legally/ethically turn him in. Would that have any implications with HIPPA?

Follow up on Buffett...

His latest...

challenging the congressional republicans (not the dems apparently) to voluntarily pay down the national debt...with him matching $1 for $1...

What is his point...it is a useless
discussion...
Buffet's Challenge

Carol said...

It's the top.. and the bottom.. gaming the system and we..hard workers in the middle.. paying for it. Pisses me off. Grrrrr!

Carol said...

I heard that this morning Coreen. He knows he safe with that challenge.

Coreen said...

Carol,

Please just forget the guy's story...don't think HIPPA covers that type of revelation...but in the large scheme of things...if the guy is scamming, he is just a drop in the bucket...& you owe no duty to disclose to anyone what he said...& who knows if he is telling the true story or just bsing...

Practical, reality....just let it go...You do not have to be, nor should you be guardian of
the national treasury...

Right now..my thoughts are that I'm not gonna vote for any of the turkeys running for president. That is..unless someone like Santorum or Neut..get the Repub nomination. Then I'll consider voting for Obama..unless there is a good third party choice.

Maybe Buddy will join a third party.

Carol said...

Coreen..the guy didn't mean to give me the info..as a good detective..I sniffed it out.

It started with..he was waiting for his refund to pay his bail. I asked what kind of work he did. He said he didn't work. Then I asked how he was getting an income tax return if he didn't work. He said well..he worked.. but for cash. I asked if he paid quarterly taxes on the cash he made..like he would actually do that. He said no. I asked how could he get money back when he didn't put money it? He then started laughing and said he filled out his income tax return. He'd been doing that for years. I kinda put 2 and 2 together.

When I told him what he was doing was criminal..he got real nasty. I called security and had them escort his ass out of my office.

These creeps get by with this stuff and the IRS doesn't catch them. When I went from a low paying teaching job with income tax withheld to a higher paying contract job in the last quarter of the year..paying high self employment tax..the IRS sends me a letter making me prove I didn't cheat them for the first three quarters of the year. Ironic huh.

Well..I guess we beat this subject to death. I was feeling some deprivation from last night. I feel better now.

Carol said...

And thanks Coreen for the banter tonight. Helped me get over my deprivation.

Made me think back to when I worked at the hospital. It was in the Clinton era and most of the people..doctors and pharm reps were Repubs. They hated Clinton.

They used to get pleasure in picking on me. They'd say something that they knew would set me off and watch me steam up and go into a rant.

I finally caught on when I noticed the little gleam in their eyes. They were getting a kick out of it..and I guess.. so was I.

I checked this morning to see if the problem was fixed..it wasn't and I almost couldn't even get back to the blog to change it back to this format.

It's weird. The old way..when I pull up the blog..it goes to a blank screen.

Coreen..you think I'm silly to think paranoid crazy thoughts about why I couldn't get in but it's weird that when I go to other blogs with Blogger..it doesn't happen.

Carol said...

And speaking of weird...today is FRIDAY THE 13. Actually..I've always thought of it as my lucky day.

Last night I went to bed with Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Both were good last night. The comedians can turn our pitiful situation into something we can laugh about. It's better than crying.

Colbert has been schooling us in the concept of the SuperPacs. He started that last year. He has some significant lawyer to explain the rules..or should I say lack of rules for the SuperPac. I'm sure most Americans don't have a clue about thoses rules.

Colbert formed a SuperPac last year and raised quite a bit of money. Now he has to turn that SuperPac over to someone else because he is forming an exploratory committee to consider running for president of South Carolina. He's polling at 5% in the PPP poll.

Last night he turned his SuperPac over to Jon Stewart. SuperPacs aren't suppose to coordinate with the candidate but they can be run by a friend..business partner.. or dad..as in Huntsman's case. Ya just can't coordinate with the person running it. It's a big joke.

Carol said...

I know you don't care for Stewart and Colbert Coreen but I love them. They have lots of good material now for their humor and don't really have to do much writing..just pick out the best videos of what's going on and make a few faces.

Good to see all the chatting you both are doing -even if it is political. I like to read it.

Feeling my age today. It seems every week now that John or I hears of a friend who has died or is near death.

I remember when my dad was alive, almost every time he would call, he had news of the death of one of his friends or acquaintances. He lived in the same area all his life and kept up with everyone he knew - or tried to anyway.

jan said...

Carol, I am fine with this format. Whatever works.

I have been following the GOP political race. I just do not care for any of them. I know I am going to vote for Obama. If there was a repub who I liked better than Obama, I would change my vote - but there is not.

Here's a ponder for you....

Discussion on sports radio today...

For the one big game which of these
three QBs would you want...Brady, Brees or Rodgers?!...

There seems to be no dispute that
Brady is already an 'immortal' yet
there was support for both Brees
and Rodgers...

In support of Brees (Mike Francesa
mentioned that his coach sean payton never quits nor does Brees
& that goes a long way...

While Brady was the easy #1 choice
they did have some difficulty in
choosing between Brees & Rodgers...

Can't quote their stats since I was in the car during this discussion...but they couldn't really choose since they admitted that in all likelihood all 3 will
be among the immortal qbs in the end...

As it is, they felt it was a great
playoff picture since any of the 3
will likely be facing each other before its over...

Coreen said...

And Carol so long as you don't let
the entire political theater get to you & upset you...whatever banter you want is fine with me...

For me, I have no clue what will happen in this election or how
any one of the parties & candidates
can solve the country's ills, not sure there is any one particular answer to the woes of the world...

By the way, is it a long weekend
there because of MLK day?....

Right now we are having howling
winds, cold, 30 on the way home, colder for the weekend...BUT ANOTHER WEEK HAS GONE BY WITH NO SNOW...HOW GREAT IS THAT!!!!

Tomorrow my Saints play the 49ers. I'll be nervous again. I still haven't gotten over that LSU loss. I thought that LSU was more consistant than the Saints.

But...I'm a bigger Saints fan than an LSU fan.

I keep thinking to last year when we lost to the Seahawks in the playoff and the Saints do play better at home.

Coreen..I've been disappointed in our political system for a long time. Nothing new there.

What disappoints me the most is the apathy on the part of most Americans.

Carol said...

Coreen..I'm glad you are happy with your weather. How close are you to getting that new generator? Make sure they fire it up to see that it works before you need it.

I see that Haley Barbour is getting a lot of flack for pardoning criminals. I could argue both sides of that issue.

On one side..there are many people in jail/prison that are just like one of us..one of our family or one of our friends..and maybe they actually are.. They just had some very bad luck.

On the other side of the issue...there are some who you would like as if they were one of your family..or a friend..but they are evil to the core. They are so charming/manipulative that you feel totally comfortable with them from the time you meet them.

The biggest problem is...it's hard to tell the difference and I'm not sure a governor would know the difference.

I bet one of the most watched games today will probably be the Bronco's game.

In a time where we feel so powerless to change anything..the only options available is devine intervention and Tebow is the poster child for that.

If you think that it is disgusting what the lobbyist are doing..which the worst is corrupting our politicians..lobbyist make a nice return on those disgusting investments.

They make a 22000% return on their investment. Too bad we can't invest in one.
