Magical Mandalas

I have always LOVED mandalas. Many religions use them as symbols to mean the circle of life…. how life is never ending and whole.

I am not only deeply drawn to the symbol, but the colors also. I LOVE COLOR!

Enjoy!

jan said...

Renee, beautiful mandalas. The Native Americans paint use mandalas for their artwork here. Love them.

Chloe, Carol wants you to call her. I think she has lost your tele no. I don't have it either. I guess I did at one time, but don't have it any longer. Carol's computer has been hacked.

Carol said...

I'm back. I called Verizon to talk about my service plan and the charge and they found out that I had a Zeus Trojan horse on my computer they had hacked into my computer. How scary is that?? Connected me with a Microsoft something in the got to go with the computer and wiped out the Hackers and put something. They put a program on my computer so I can check to see if that happens again. I have a three year warranty on their service computer where I can check to see if it's happened again and I've got a warranty for three years but I had to pay like $449 for the three years of service but the covers anything any peripherals and my computer and I'll take care of anything goes wrong. Maybe that is why I've had so many technical problems for so long.

Carol said...

The hackers are called a Zeus Trigan Horse. Look it up on Wiki. It somehow got on my computer from something I downloaded and I hardly ever download anything on my computer. I've always been very nervous about downloads for that reason.

Neat post Renee. I'm a little preoccupied right now. Will study it more later.

Carol said...

The guy woho was fixing my computer was controlling my computer from India I could watch everything he was doing

Carol said...

Hopefully he was a good guy and not a hacker.

Carol said...

BTW your antivirus software will not pick up this Trojan horse. If you're having any problems with your computer that might be the cause..

Carol said...

Chloe, please give me a call when you get a chance. A friend of mine is concerned that the guy who was fixing my computer was scamming me. He was supposed to be a Microsoft certified tehnition. I haven' paid anything yet. I'm supposed to mail my payment.

Really love the post, Renee. Will have to come back tomorrow to comment, because I'm so tired.

Thanks for keeping the posts so enjoyable. This one, along with the great pieces that Carol has shared of her sisters, has given me things to think about. Everything seems to be moving in the right direction.

Will catch up and talk to you all tomorrow.

Carol said...

chloe, thanks for calling me back and for all your help I think everything seems to be working better now my wifi is even connecting faster. All this time I thought I had a poltergeist in my technology. They ought to hang hackers. Anytime we get something really good ,some crooks find a way ti eff it up.

Carol said...

I was not familiar with Mandela's wish you would have given us more info. I can look it up but I've gotten so lazy. My back pain takes everything out ogf me.

Carol said...

You know I haven't been able to get my new post bracket post put up a new post maybe that's fixied also ,I haven't checked yet. So many things were not working right.

Carol said...

My psychologist told me about a group called senior circle they meet Arcand me every day and they have different activities planned every day at a house behind the hospital where Mary used to work. I need to get more involved in activities with people ,y she.

The less I do, the
Ess I want to do, I was aware of this phenomenon when I was working with the more I did order our didn't work the more I did when I got home

Carol, Those virus/trojan horses/computer infections/etc. do make you feel like your losing it (both mentally and emotionally). We always think it's us, until we figure out it the computer.

The hackers aren't going to go away, that's a given. If you have more problems, pick up that Webroot CD at Walmart. Even if you don't install it, you can run it and it usually finds more than any other anti-virus (including trojan horses) than any other I've found. It's gotten me out of a lot of serious computer problems over the last few years (and it's less than $20 and installs on 3 computers... much cheaper than all the others at Walmart... but more money online). Just ask WM where their antivirus software is... they'll find it for you.

I've had second thoughts about not being more open minded about Apple to you. I can't consider, because we use our computers for business too, and others can't open the files, etc. if we don't send them on the same operating system as we have (Windoows).

Jan and Renee are the ones to talk about Apple to. I know they both like it, and are right that you have the viral/Trojan horse problems... hacking problems... that you have with Windows. I know Renee has been on Apple for years and Jan was offered free lessons when she bought her. There is no way it can be more difficult to learn than Windows 8. I recommend everyone stay away from 8 at all costs. I'm having my new laptop changed over to Windows 7 from a tech that has been changing them for a lot of people at a low price. Right now, I'm still on my old 7.

Sometimes I speak up too quickly about things I don't know enough about. I'm opinionated and need to back off sometimes.

Unknown said...

... sorry about all the typos, my heads not on straight yet(I know, is it ever?).

It should have said the Apple 'doesn't' have the hacking problems.

Please correct other errors, if possible.

Unknown said...

BTW, glad to hear you're still talking to your Psychologist. Sounds like she's giving you some good advice. It's always good to wander on out into unfamiliar territory. I agree with what you said about us doing less and less, if we're not careful. Like breeds like, I guess. That's a lot like your sister said in the last thoughts she sent you. I'm going to go back and read it again, and bring it over to this thread. I was very inspired by it.

Unknown said...

Here it is.

Each morning upon returning to your reality from your slumber is the beginning of a new cycle. It is the beginning of the opportunity to shift or transform what does not serve you. It is a fresh slate so to speak.

You can always drag the limitations of the past into this new day. It is a learned habit that does not support your magnificence. Begin to notice your first thought upon awakening. Is it one of celebration and gratitude, of having another period of time to engage in this life and reality, or is it one that calls forth all the worries, concerns and issues that were left behind as you closed your eyes for renewal.

Begin to observe these patterns, not from a place of self-criticism or judgment but simply as an observer. Then from this place of gentle observation, begin to shift your first thought.

Unknown said...

I found the interesting site (thank you, Gloria!) where your sister found that very good info. and will bookmark it: NEW SEEDS OF REALITY

Renee, look up info. on your Mandalas... it indirectly led me to this site: The Wheel Of Life
Where are you on the Wheel of Life?
Happy is where we want to be.
"Suffering" means to allow
The Wheel always turns.

... found it very interesting.

Unknown said...

Renee, the first sentence should have said I 'looked' (past tense) up info on your Mandalas.

Unknown said...

And, Renee. Once again, those Mandalas you posted are really beautiful. You are a very inspirational person.

Carol said...

Thanks Chloe, I needed that. I went to bed thinking about how little I want to do these days. Much of it is my back pain holding me back.. Hopefully, my new roommate will get me motivated.

What's weird is that when I wake up each morning , I have the feeling that someone is sitting in the living room with me. Don't know why. Is it because I had those sitters for so long or is it a spirit hanging out here??

Carol said...

Chloe, We were going to have another blast of cold air this week but maybe this will be the last one. chlor my microphone never gets your name, it tries every word but your name

Who are you all pulling for for the Super Bowl? I'm taking the Broncos. Want to have a Super Bowl party this year?

Carol said...

Chloe, finally my microphone got your name right. Tuesday we have another prediction of snow for. both of our areas. I finally got the correct name for your town on my weather underground.

Unknown said...

If you have a Super Bowl party, Carol, I'll be there! And I don't even enjoy sports or competition. But will hang out with you guys and cheer you on.

I'd say that if you feel there is someone in the room with you, then there most definitely is (are you sure it's not Maggie you're feeling? :))

Doesn't matter, really, who it is. The important thing is that you're not alone. I think about you often, maybe my thoughts are traveling...anything's possible!

Carol said...

Now that the horse has been removed. i can get to my new post option. Its amazing how many things that horse screwed up on my computer.Chlo.

HOws many days until Spring?

RebelliousRenee said...

Chloe… glad you like the mandalas. I've been drawn to them for years. I usually get a calendar with mandalas for my studio. But this year I chose one with art prints of cats. I was thinking the other day how much I miss the mandalas…. and thought I'd post some here.

Yes… I have a Mac… but no one should look to me for technology answers except for the most rudimentary of questions. If something hangs up (which it rarely does), I get Rick to fix it.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol… I don't really care who wins the Super Bowl this year. If I was putting money down, I'd pick the Broncos. It would be nice to see Manning top off his spectacular year with a SB win. But then, Pete Carroll, the coach of the Seahawks, was the Patriots head coach before Belichick…. and I have a soft spot for him. I just hope it's a good game.

Rick and I are going over to his baby brother's house for the Super Bowl . He loves to cook and always hosts a good party.

jan said...

Carol, so glad that Chloe was able to help you with your computer problems. I agree with Chloe, that there is someone there with you. If you feel the presence then someone is there. You are not alone. I think it would be good for you to explore this group your psychologist told you about.

I am definitely not a computer person. If mine is working I am happy. If it is not, I am looking for someone to help me with it. I do love the Mac b/c I have not been bothered with viruses.

jan said...

I actually don't care who wins the super bowl. I will be rootin for the Broncos b/c my grandson and his wife live in CO and that is their team.

jan said...

Renee, Carl Jung did some mandelas in his big Red Book. We were encouraged in our dream groups to draw/paint Mandelas.

jan said...

Chloe, thanks for reposting Gloria's thing. Every time I read it -it seems new.

jan said...

Carol, you don't have to do anything. Don't push yourself to do something you don't want to do or don't feel like doing. It is good to be with people when you are feeling like it. I think you and I both were pushed by our mothers to accomplish, accomplish, accomplish. In some ways that is good but we don't have to do anything any longer. We can just BE.

Carol said...

Right now Jan if I followed your advice, I wouldn't get out om my chair. followed your advice I would probably not get out of my chair. The other day when I was wearing my fuzzy slippers to keep my feet dry outside, I slipped in my living room. The soul of those shoes were slick. I hit a slck spot skid, did a half spin and slammed my left lower flank on a rail in my foret. Thought that it's being a meaty part of my back ,I could nt have broke any ribs. The ribs in that area are floating. Well. That area is screaming at me now, I gave up the boots for shoes with better traction, well I guess it is live, break, and learn. Someone the other day jokingly recommended wrapping my self in bubble rap. I kike the idea. It's probably warmer.also.

Now I'm almost stuck in my chair. I promise, I really do try to be careful. It just doesn't work out that way, not wanting to do nothing, my body keeps giving me excuse not to have to. I moved around pretty good until today.

Carol said...

Well so far in Dowton Abbey theyve gotten through thr Bates/Anna crisis, at least for now. How much more can those two indure

I really think the Broncos will win the Super Bowl they look so much better playing their playoff game than Seattle did. I used to be in Seattle fan but I've kind of lost interest in that team now . They did rough up my boys a couple times. I know Renée that's just football and I have to get used to it. But I do hold a grudge.

Carol said...

I saw a little of LSU Alabama game yesterday playing basketball. I would love to see LSU do well in basketball this year I love watching basketball. One thing I like this it's the fast game.

Coreen said...

Hey Renee, can't say I know anything about mandalas, their significance, spiritual, religious, but appreciate the vivid colors & understand why you would be attracted to them...

As far as Super Bowl, hope that Peyton Manning & the Broncos win, lots of talk that Manning has to win to solidify his place in history as one of, if not the best, QB...just added pressure on him to get it done...the other talk is about the weather game time...will it or won't it snow, how awful cold might it be...but yesterday some 50,000 fans packed Yankee Stadium to watch a hockey game, so I guess it won't matter what the weather people's hype is, the fans will manage...

Coreen said...

As far as Downton Abbey...the best lines are routinely delivered by the dowager...& most enjoyable to watch (have to listen carefully) are the scenes with her & Matthew's mother...whether it's admiration, respect or a true friendship between them, it is fun to watch...loved the halo/tiara remark by the dowager...

jan said...

Coreen, I too love the conversations between the 2 older women/sages. I love the dowagers little laugh/giggle. Both women are the best part of the series.

Sometimes I get tired of the crises with the younger folk.

jan said...

Downton Abbey again: I predict Mr. Bates will go after the guy that raped Ana and who knows where that will lead. I bet Edith's lover who has gone to Germany will get into trouble with all the prewar stuff. His last name sounds Jewish. That is going to lead to something. Maybe Edith will go to Germany and rescue him.

The new guy who just showed up maybe a new love interest for Mary.

It truly is a soap opera. But, I am hooked.

jan said...

Carol, so sorry about the bad advice. Hope your recovery continues.

jan said...

Back to work.

John's son left this morning for Little Rock. He has a couple of job prospects there. John is a little sad. I am also. He is a nice guy. Hope he can get it together.

Carol said...

I've been fighting my Wi-Fi device again I do that pretty frequently but for the last couple of days it's been doing pretty well. After going through all the troubleshooting they decided to send me a new device tomorrow and as soon as I got off the phone and it started working again. But it's still not working like it's supposed to.

Do a snow or an ice storm tomorrow and I certainly pray that it's not a ice storm the last time we had iced on my lost power for a week in poor little Maggie and I couldn't couldn't tolerate with no power lights or whatever. Y'all pray it isn't ice. Can barely handle the snow but that would be better than Ice.

This storm is is due to last two days hope I can make it that long. The place I injured my back flip ping in the living room killing me today I'm barely get out of my chair. Chloe do you have any gas appliances or a fireplace. I have a fireplace but afraid to use it because I haven't used it since Rita, hurricane am afraid there may be some tree branches down in that thing I don't want to burn the house down even though it might want me up. I did use it the last time we had a ice storm and it didn't do any good to me warm me up and my back wouldn't allow me to carry any world in even if I had some.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol… I will pray you don't have an ice storm. Snow, cold temps… don't really bother me… but ice is a different story.

Coreen… the reason why I'd bet on the Broncos winning the Super Bowl is because I think Manning does have something to prove. I love the fact that him and Brady are still in the NFL… but it won't be for much longer as they're both in their late 30s.

Carol said...

TW who thrills in over exaggerating things call me this morning say we're having that we're having a record-breaking ice storm here. I hope she is exaggerating this time also. I forced myself to take my painful back to Walmart to get a few supplies I didn't even have any flashlights here. I didn't
have any longjohns on yesterday so I went and put them on. Actually warm now so I'm smoldering in these long Johns.

Carol said...

If you don't hear from me in a couple of days you'll know that TW wasn't exaggerating.

Carol said...

The weather here is turned into a horror movie. I was just just listening on the news and Bobby Genora governor was warning about the weather. Mondale is scary enough without having to be talking about the scary weather

This kind of weather in our area is a statewide emergency. I'm very worried about power going off tonight. The rest of it wouldn't bother me at all I just don't want to lose power. Maybe before next year I'll have a put awood-burning stove in thebut camp and I can stay there if we have another winterlike this winter. I live in tolerate the heat in the south so I don't have to Put up with winters like this. What's the climate like in Costa Rica??

Carol said...

My microphone is really going nuts with the spelling. I was speaking about Bobby Jendel our governor, I don't know how Mondale got in there.

jan said...

Carol, hope your weather is not as bad as predicted. I recommend down comforters. Do you have any of those. Or sleeping bags for cold weather.

Unknown said...

Carol, I wouldn't be surprised at all if we lost power here. We put in a good size generator last year, and had some problems with it when we needed it most a couple of times, but now it's working well. We tested it, and it's starting up fine, so if there is an outage, hopefully we'll be OK because it runs a good portion of the house and therefore we'll have heat, etc.

Wood stoves are nice, because you can really warm up around them, but we got rid of our a few years ago, because we didn't want to deal with the smoke, etc. anymore... in interest of having healthy lungs. It was also a lot of work, and we've been trying to do everything we can to make things easy as time goes on. Insulation, cleaner air, double paned windows, on and on. It's helped make life more comfortable, and it's still a work in progress.

You might want to consider a generator. The only thing is, with this larger one, we had to put in a propane tank (much more convenient). The small one we had before, that just kept a few things going, used gasoline. What a pain that was after that hurricane when there was also a shortage of gas. Bad weather causes so many hardships.

The fireplace might work best for you, because heat is so important in the winter. However, the generator will also provide air in the summer.

Can you stay with someone if things get too bad? Or even get a room at a hotel? Do whatever it takes to keep your stress level down.

Unknown said...

... that stress thing, a full time job for me to keep it under control. An important job though.

Unknown said...

My stress level will be a lot lower if they don't close Emma's school tomorrow (like they did last Friday). At her age, she needs to be around kids. It's really difficult, because she's into everything (everything!).

Unknown said...

I finished 'Damages' and am considered moving on to watching a few of the episodes of this seasons 'Downton Abbey'. I was going to wait a while (and still may) because of enjoying seeing more of them in a row. Like I said before, once a week doesn't do it for me.

I watch 3 years of Damages in a fairly short time. Same with Justified (5 years) and Longmire (2 years) which will continue a new season in a few months.

Have to decide what's next.

jan said...

Chloe, sounds like you are better prepared for the bad weather. I hope for you too that it is not bad.

I will keep you both in my prayers.

Unknown said...

Thanks,Jan.

I was just going through the hour to hour weather, and I can't believe what a bunch of sissies we are down here. It actually turns out to be about 24-36 hours of bad weather. Even that isn't going to be a storm.

If you want to feel really grateful, Carol, go take a look at Chicago's weather... hour by hour... for the next few days. It really puts things in perspective.

I hope Solar lets us know how he's doing. Temperatures like that have to be hard to cope with, no matter how prepared you are.

Unknown said...

Hope things are going well your way, Jan. Let us know how you're doing too.

As well as everyone else. Good wishes to you all.

Carol said...

I just got "The Call" from our power company warning of poorer outages and to be prepared to be out of power for 3-5 days. The woke me from a dead sleep. Chloe, I only have a small generator and it's a TW's house with two flat tires. It would not run any heat which is what I would need most. Those huge generators would be more than I could handle. Maggie is my back up heating plan.

Carol said...

Pray guys, please ! All I have is flashlights, bread and peanut butter.

jan said...

Chloe, we are fine. We get some cold weather that filters down our way but no ice in the forecast. Having lived in AR and OK, I know what ice storms are like and they are not pretty. Well, actually they are pretty when they happen but are not nice to deal with.

jan said...

Renee, I continue to enjoy the colorful Mandelas. I especially like the 1st one with the tree. I love trees. And yet I live in NM where there are few trees. Ironic! But I love the mountains here - so its a trade-off.

Carol said...

The power is still on but I evacuated to some friends house that have a fireplace. better to be with other people anyway.

Unknown said...

Carol, I am so glad to hear that you are safe and sound with friends. I didn't see your comment until this morning, and now you are safe and sound. Stay put! The next 24 hours are the worst.

Unknown said...

Just one more thing about generators. The little ones are a lot harder to handle than the big ones. Once the big ones are installed and ready to go, all you have to do is push a button. More often, peoplbe have them wired to start up automatically when their incoming power shuts down. There's very little upkeep.

The reason we started out with a few problems is we got ours at a steal because it part of a group of brand new ones that the insurance company replaced replaced because of some water damage. We deal with wholesale houses in our business, so sometimes run across deals like it. But we also have to be able to install them ourself and be responsible for the upkeep. This one is no serving it's need and I feel much safer because of it.

As you know, I'm a worrier, like you. The checker at the market asked me if I was stocking up and preparing for the cold and I told her I'm 'always' preparing. I stock up on things like you do too.

I don't like taking chances and I don't like surprises. I think a lot of it is insecurity.

Unknown said...

So glad you're doing well, too, Jan.

I love the mountains also... I mean really love them. They are so beautiful. I get along with my memories now... that, and pictures. New Mexico, well actually from there all the way to California is so beautiful. What a gorgeous drive that is. It's easy to see why you love Albuquerque so much.

jan said...

Carol, I too am so glad you are safe now. Take care.

Chloe, nice to hear you love this part of the country too. One of these days we are going to drive further west than Phoenix. I will have to consult with you before we take that leap.

BTW I had an amazing dream last night. Have to work on it to see what it might mean to me.

Stay safe everyone here.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol….
smart move to be with other people. Hope the weather isn't as bad as predicted… but if it is…. stay warm and stay safe.

Jan… my favorite one is the third one… turquoise with the black background. I can almost see it pulsating. I too LOVE mountains. There's plenty here in NH. The biggest are in the northern part of the state. We will be vacationing up there in about 10 days.

RebelliousRenee said...

Chloe… we too have a big generator… but it is gasoline powered. We have it wired so all we have to do is push a button. I heard on the local news the other day that the price of propane has gone through the roof because of a shortage. Seems no matter what one chooses as a source of heat/and or power there's some problems.

Carol said...

It helps to have useful menfolk in your family. I took care of my little generator during the hurricane. Just picking up 5 gallons go gas is a challenge. It went thru gas fast. And getting gas at that time was also a challenge.

Unknown said...

Renee, I remember when you were talking about installing your generator. I think we got ours around the same time. They give you peace of mind.

Jan, if you feel like talking about it, would love to hear about that dream. If not, just let us know if your interpretation turns out to be unexpected or meaningful in any other way. I've had some really strange dreams lately, but haven't been into spending much time on interpreting them. They usual seem to have a pretty easily described meaning on the surface, and I just don't feel like going into the emotions of analyzing them too deeply.

Later, I'd like to see what you guys think about a short article I ran across. It discusses the conscious vs. the subconscious, but unlike others I've focused on (in the past) it gives a lot more power to the subconscious (therefore, thoughts we have seemingly 'no' control over) as opposed to the very small amount of our thinking (a small fraction in relation) that is conscious. I've always thought of the conscious part of our thinking as being in control, but this calls that very much into question.

My interest is in how to overcome that... the things that drive us even though we're often unaware of them.

... ok, I am officially rambling.

Carol, am watching a season of 'Episodes' (the name of the comedy) which are a half our each (11.99 for the season) at Amazon. I have never laughed so hard. I recommend you take a look. Just buy one to see if you like it. If you don't like the first one, then you'll probably not like the following ones.

I bought the first season and am now going to watch the third one. I need the laughs.

Carol said...

My favorite mandala is the first one. I just looked at our electric co outage map and didn't see anything. I'm still glad I didn't stay at the house alone.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol… sooooooooo glad you didn't lose power.

January is almost over… and February is a short month. At least that's what Rick reminded me of last night while eating supper. He hasn't gotten in as much skiing as he'd like to this year. The conditions haven't been very good… the snow is mostly manmade and hard and scratchy according to his reports.

Carol… are you back at your house?

Coreen said...

Did the weather pattern that is causing all the snow in the SE do
much damage to your area Carol...

the reports here are showing what has happened in Georgia & the Carolinas & the remnants of this storm resulted in about another inch of snow here overnight, unfortunately this rotten cold snap continues for a few more days...but seems the farmer's almanac prediction of a major storm here for super bowl day not likely, at least if the weather talkers are reading their computers properly...

Unknown said...

The reason I like the first Mandala so much is because it looks like the tree of life.

I think life is a tree because of the roots and branches, strength and intricacies (not forgetting beauty)... but I just as often see it as a circle, cycles (like the seasons, which are beautiful too).

Unknown said...

... #5 could probably represent our circle (somewhat), as it appears to show how much there is 'beyond', things we'll probably never explore.

Unknown said...

... Carol, I'm out and about, but did I tell you there's a 60' Vizeo Smart TV for around $790. Slightly smaller than that are considerably cheaper.

As we talked about, the non-smart TVs usually are a couple hundred less.

When's your room mate moving in?
How are you doing?
How is 'everyone' doing?

(I am so glad this inconvenient, uncomfortable weather is on it's way out, Carol. I can't believe how much our weather is so identical. We practically live in the same state)

Unknown said...

I am 'so' glad I found this part of the country.

Carol said...

I'm still at my friends house. Too lazy to move back home yet. Have a lot to carry in and out. No power outages in my hood. I'm sure my water is probably frozen.

Carol said...

It wasn't as bad as expected. Thank God!

Carol said...

Just got home from my friends house and everything seems to be in order here thank you God. Little crisis before I left when I want you to get my car my truck started the battery was dead. Fortunately my friend had one of those powerpacks that you can use as a as a battery can hook to a car battery. Right now I've got my my car running out Valeroso I can charge up my battery

Maggie and I will miss hanging out at our friends house. My friend Greta made a delicious gumbo. I'll miss that also. My friends have a challenging 13-year-old teenager in like teenagers heyou won't listen to them and do what they ask him to do. I certainly don't miss not having had a teenager. This youngster just wants to play video games he refuses to do his homework. They try taking his toys away but he turns into a monster.

Carol said...

home again, home again jiggedy jig

jan said...

Carol, Glad you are home safe and sound.

Yes, teenagers are difficult people to live with sometimes. However, If I could go back to when my boys were teens, I would listen more and criticize less.

jan said...

I am proud of my sons. All 3 turned out to be good people. They all work hard and are good parents.

jan said...

Chloe, I am glad your weather turned out to not be so bad.

Unknown said...

Thanks, Jan.
I always appreciate your kind thoughts.

How great it is that you can be proud of your sons. You seem to have a wonderful family. Good job!

Coreen said...

OK, so here are clips of some of the super bowl ads...
naturally the lead one is outstanding...the rest well not particularly impressed...

what beats a puppy & a Clydesdale?...absolutely nothing!...

you can add this one to the list of outstanding Clydesdale ads...just have to love it...
Everything we know about Super Bowl ads

Coreen said...

Try it again...
Everything we know about this year's super bowl ads

jan said...

Coreen, love the piece of the puppy and horse. It is too good. Some of best ads on TV are the ones with animals.

jan said...

My GD in AR works with a group that rescues and cares for horses that have been in bad situations. She took me to see them while on my last trip there. A couple of the horses are blind. GD does this on her off time while in college. She said it keeps her sane to work with them. Some are adopted.

jan said...

Chloe, thanks - I had a lot of help rearing the boys- family, friends, neighbors. Wish I could take credit for the way they turned out, but I truly cannot. I was terrible at discipline. They did/do know I loved them. They have given me back so much more than I gave.

jan said...

The super bowl ads are my favorite part of the super bowl.

House I couldn't pull off the horse/ dog commercial. tW saidyou said it was so good it made her cry. I think Roommate issupposed to start moving in some of her of her stuff today.

It was very cold again last night. Had to leave the water running really bothers me. Big sis has me conditioned to feel very guilty if I have water running for no good reason but there is a reason for me running the water. It's either run the water are have no water. Once we get above freezing this morning we will stay above freezing for quite a while thank you Jesus.

I'm seeing these commercials for omega XL and how they can reduce bone pain. Anyone have any experience with that? I'll try anything.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol… what a wonderful gift to wake up this morning and see how excited you were about getting back home.

Coreen… thanks for the commercials. LOVED the one with the puppy and Clydesdale… it made me cry.

Jan…. LOL! of course I'd expect the ads to be the favorite part of the SB for anyone who doesn't watch football… :)

Carol said...

I'm requesting that we all pray that all of our precipitation move to California where they need it so bad there is power in prayer.

jan said...

Carol, no experience here with Omega XL. I have lots of joint pain but not bone pain. I probably should try some of stuff for joints but don't.

RebelliousRenee said...

Carol… I've been praying for California for a few weeks.

Chloe… I just noticed you said you were glad to find the part of the country you live in. I've never been to the area… but as I've said before, Rick has been to the Woodlands area many times. He's told me it's one of his favorite places to visit.

Carol said...

Chloe the looks of our parts of the country are pretty much identical and the climate is also. You don't have as much of a hazard is from hurricanes as I do because you live deeper into the away from the Gulf. I'm so happy that our extreme cold weather has taken a hike for a little while.

My roommate came over again today and mowed the rest of the stuff out of the bedroom she will be using so it won't be long. I can't wait. I think it may be later next week that she should be able to move in.

Carol said...

I finally got my new Wi-Fi device from Verizon and I have it all set up let's hope I don't have some is much trouble with this one as I did with the other one.

Carol said...

Having this tiny little portable Wi-Fi device is a neat concept. The only problem with meat concepts as they often don't work right.

jan said...

Carol, sounds like things are looking up for you with roommate and technology and weather.

Anyone see impractical jokers? It's so dumb that it's funny. It's on tru tv. Check it out.

Drew Breez was on Colbert. You might be able to catch his show tomorrow on the reruns. Drew is soo cute. I think that he nay be fading as the quarterback. For the Saints though.

Unknown said...

I wanted to see the interview you were talking about, Carol and am now linking it here.

If anyone wants to see it, you put your cursor over the bottom of the screen (it'll highlight your cursor drag), drag the point where your are on the recording to about the middle and there you'll see Drew being interviewed.
Drew Brees The Colbert Report

Unknown said...

... it took me forever to get that linked, because I'm having mouse problems. I've got a new mouse sitting on my desk, but have been too lazy to get the batteries in it and change it out. Lazy or stubborn? I don't know.

Anyway, once I get started on something, it's hard to give up. I guess stubborn would best describe it.

I realized how identical our weather was quite a while back, Carol. I could have never lived close enough to the water to worry about hurricanes though. I'd be terrified at just the thought.

Unknown said...

Renee,
Under the right circumstances, I'm sure I could be happy in just about any part of the country (and much of the world, although I'm glad to be in America), but as you know I like to be warm.

The Woodlands is great for visiting because it has it all (except Museums and Art galleries (and the like)... those are downtown). But there a beautiful mall and a lot of other shopping, lots of good restaurants and movie theaters, parks, etc.

It's very pretty, because they kept it very natural when they built, so half the time you can't find what you're looking for, because it's all behind tree's (oaks and pines). They did a beautiful job on it.

I'm about 20 mins. from there, but wouldn't want to live there because it's right off a main freeway and therefore very crowded. But I love going there at least once or twice a week. I do have just about everything I need closer to home though.

Unknown said...

Civilization keeps moving closer and closer, and is now too close. But it's very convenient, and we still have precious privacy.

I'll check in to see how you're all doing a little later. Hope all is well with everyone.

Carol said...

Chloe, I called the Visio people iand this lady talkedme and help me through getting hooked back up to Netflix. Hi ask if I would had to go to all that again and she said no it shouldn't once it's hooked up it should stay that way but I'll see.

Unknown said...

Good, Carol.

Like the Vizeo lady said, you shouldn't have any more problem. It's surprising to me that we can call and get help with these things, and not have to pay a tech. We can also call Netflix and even Microsoft, if we need help. This convenience is all new.

Glad to see you solving all the problems as they come up (day to day problems seem never ending). It's a constant struggle, and they can pile up fast if we're not careful.

Unknown said...

They have given me back so much more than I gave.

Jan, When I first read this, I realized how much you base your life on gratitude. When you feel gratitude to the extent you do, then it really changes your life. I think sometimes we forget that the more grateful we feel, that it affects us more than those that we are grateful to.

No matter who helped you raise your kids, you were the one ultimately responsible for pulling it all together... and the fact that you were easy on discipline is something to be proud of, imo.

Take the credit!

Unknown said...

I just finished episode 8 of (season 4) Downton Abbey.

Is it just me, or is it more stressful subject matter this season? I still like it very much, but sometimes feel more disturbed.

jan said...

Chloe, Thank you.

also, I am disturbed by the events on D. A. too. It seems they are trying too hard to find crises. Becoming a true soap opera.

jan said...

Carol, kudos to you for your persistence in your technology.

Solar said...

Carol,

Glad that things are changing for the better.!

Jan, raising children is not easy, when you do that right it is b/c there was a balance of love, direction, and sometimes discipline. Looks like you did i perfectly.!

Coreen, im sure glad that we are accustomed to what winter throws our way. But this is ridiculous huh?. Stay safe and warm.....

Chloe, thanks for the bear hug...i needed it. Keep being inquisitive about the mind, body and brain.......just remember the the brain grew the body....so therefore it only lets you know just enough to take care of it.

In the future when all of its cells, dna etc...are unraveled....we will truly have freedom of choice.

Renee, a very special thanks for trying to not let my post about the passing of my Mother over get lost in the shuffle.

I was not planning to post it over at the trail, but i did anyway...maybe i was just sharing the music....or so i thought.

There were wonder responses from some...People like Dexterjohnson I did not...made specific post with questions (3-5 times) to him a long time ago, figured he did not want to talk to me at all...so i ignore his post like he does min....same thing with blue bronc...tried direct questions a cpl of times and did not get any response....I don't blame them...they don't like to talk to someone that can;t talk, spell, or have the correct grammar and diction...

I also did not expect Jamie to say anything. Some of the others were mildly disappointing...they are always saddened even when a pet has passed away.

What really kinda hurt was that I thought that Pogo and I were friends. we started the luch club...the pinks and the lunches...were great fun no..Flatus and a cpl of others......but the reason that I won't go back to the trail.....is that Craig the host of the blog...never acknowledged the passing of my Mother like he would any other of his regulars....don't know what to think of that...other than that I don't contribute any money to him.....Im putting my son thru college, and that takes up any extra cash that I can get my hands on..

Ive been a little rough on both the republicans and the democrats...i know that is the reason for some people to not talk to me...but it is a political blog..and after a few years of being on it....I think that Craig could have said something...won't hold it against him....he is still a great guy....but he lost me......

Have work to take care of and will see you all in a cpl of weeks.....

Solar said...

People like Dexterjohnson I did not.

did not expect any response...I respect that....

Solar said...

Sorry for all of the mistakes in that long post....went outside to help shovel snow again....and a little winded....

Unknown said...

Solar,

Please don't disappear for weeks!

Your very sincere comment was so nice to read, and what you said 'needed' to be said. Many of us feel like this blogging thing is a form of therapy, and the more honest we are, the more good it will do. Being honest takes a lot of courage, but anything less is insincere.

I feel so badly about what you've been through. Losing your mother had to horrible. Add to that that losing a loved one brings back the feelings we have buried for all the loved ones in the past, and it can be unbearable.

Unknown said...

... and don't worry about typos (I obviously don't!).

I've said for a long time, that communication is tough, it's a lot of work. But you communicate better than most anyone I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

When I was a young teenager, there were no computers. The magazines I read used to have a column in the back regarding pen pals. I always wanted to have a 'pen pal' but found very few. Well, I realized lately, that I now have as many pen pals as I want.

...another example of how very long it can take to get what we visualize, Carol! You started a great pen pal Blog. Thanks.

Unknown said...

Just a thought. Some people go to TM to either lurk or to drop off a comment. They aren't there for any interaction (seemingly). That's not what they're looking for. All can do is say what we want to say, and to hell with the reaction... or lack of reaction.

The important thing (the only thing we have any control over) is that we said it. It's probably best to say what we have to say with no expectations to the outcome. It took me a while to get there, but that's where I am now.

Solar said...

Chloe,

Thanks...and do agree with you. But It has always been polite to acknowledge someones love one passing away....Chim Cho (correct spelling?) Patsi, lardo, etc, etc...even wish someone a happy bday....Pogo once told/asked me to get off my ass and wish Jamie a happy b day.....now I do understand what you are saying....

Even when Harborwomens pet passed away very recently....and she left me a nice post....but all the same i should not expect lurkers...or some new poster to say anything....and i don't....im going to go out side again...some one is stuck in the snow...

Solar said...

Chloe,

Im not quitting the trail b/c there way no sympathy for me...I have never let anyone dictate what I should feel or not feel.....I just don't want to be on a blog where the host does not treat everyone the same....craig posted before i did..and after i did......

Been thinking that after all it was a very good thing that i made that post....now I don't have to waste anytime at the trail at all.!

Im going to be gone so I can catch up with some work...I have a cpl of business plans to write....I have a cpl of ideas that i ran across a few people that i grew up and trust with my life....will be in and out....maybe that will be better...

RebelliousRenee said...

Solar…
I'm sad to see you feeling blue about the lack of response about your mother's passing on TM. I was kinda hoping you wouldn't notice. I too have been stunned by it. I'm not sure what to make of it. I'd like to think that no one has meant to purposely ignore you…. but you are correct that more has been made of the passing of some pets.

Chloe… intellectually I agree with saying what you want without expectation… but right now my heart is holding me back from commenting over on TM also. You feel what you feel. And even though your head might say "that's stupid or petty", it doesn't matter.

I've always felt that TM was like a family…. now I'm not so sure. Although something tells me that if Craig knew how you or I were feeling right now, Solar… he'd be horrified.

Solar said...

ps.....don't feel sorry for me....my mom lived a great life....was married at 14...on a very large farm in Mexico...married a dirt farmer...just so she could get away from the all boys club in her family.....she was a real annie oakly type...ride shoot with the best of them....and she would not want anyone mourning their time away....

When we are born....we start dying right then and there.....

Just think...in the past...the average age was around....been going up since then....she was 97...in the future....we will live to be in the hundreds......there is not doubt about it.....science will discover how to manipulate each and every on of our trillion of cells, dans....nope not dans....dna;s....and we will be vampires.....he vampires are people to no?

This is one of the reasons that Religion will end...we will have proved to make ourselves god like...we will create ourselves.....and don't think that there are no human clones walking around....maybe not walking around...but im positive that they exist.......

The good thing....is that the Very rich....can't clone their minds...or can they???? naw the mind...or consciousness can not be cloned.......

Solar said...

Renee,

Its very simple....im not in the Arugula club.

Sturg, Patd, YOU Chloe, Tony....Even RX...which i consider the smartest and some others...made me feel welcome enough to stick around...Purple, Tony, Champ made me feel this also.....

I did not care if Jamie and the others did not want me around....she has been pissed at me...ever since i stopped her from getting her old gang (which they are nice) to get together and run the blog as she saw fit...even Jack told her off about it.....hell I even got to get Blonde Wino to talk to me once in a while.....she use to just say "you are loveable enough" while dismissing me....that did nothing to bother me....

And I am not sensitive to the point that Craig and some others did not share my pain or saddens....just avoiding a place where i really did not feel comfortable, and where im sure that they did not want, like, or even cared for my criticism of both the left and they right from and independent like myself......they ran all of the indies off....

I stuck around for the few great friends that i did make....even tho I made them cringe a little...but im leaving on my own terms....and not forced too like so many others...

Solar said...

Last word on the subject:

When i made that tai-chi contribution thread( which i plan on doing here, and talking about it a lot, the benefits are endless...even sitting down think about the movements get the mind to cure the body)

And I knew that this would happen, but I did it anyway....just to be amused be the LACK of response......and i was not disappointed...the arugula club did not comment on it at all......later

Solar said...

Sorry, now im sounding very petty .....would erase that last post, but forgot how.....with a grain of salt please.....

Unknown said...

Renee, I have never thought or said that I think anything is stupid or petty. On the contrary, I think EVERYTHING is important, if it is important to one person.

Solar, I'm sure you must have noticed I rarely say a word at TM anymore. It generally feels like a waste of breath.

I do try to not stay down long enough for others to kick me. It hurts.

Unknown said...

Remember, Solar. Someone repeating what they hear on the news, echoing the exact things they hear others say, does not put anyone in any Arugula club.

Reciting others say does not take intelligence, and going along to get along is nothing more than selling out.

RebelliousRenee said...

Chloe… sorry… I said it wrong… should of said "even though MY head might say that's stupid or petty". I was posting about they way I feel… not you.

Solar… even though I disagree with you about religion ending (I think it's hardwired into us)… that post brought a smile to my face.

It seems to me like TM is kinda dying… and one of the reasons, IMO, is that is has become an echo chamber. Oh well…. I'm surprised it's lasted as long as it has.

Coreen said...

Solar, I figured out awhile ago that I don't belong at TM & whatever choice you make about TM will be the right one for you, but I do hope that you will try to keep in touch here (as long as Carol keeps the place open) you do know that we enjoy listening to you (even if we don't all agree)...

It is funny that even though I have never met any of you, at least not yet, I consider you guys 'friends' & I do understand that the reception or lack thereof one gets at a place you felt comfortable (or thought you knew) can be shall I say, at a minimum, disappointing ...

Stay safe out there Solar as the reports are your snow is not about to let up anytime soon...Did I mention I really hate snow!!...

Coreen said...

Chloe, I think the reference to 'pen pals' fits...honestly never had any til being connected from TM to Carol's place...

jan said...

Solar, welcome back.

Interesting to read all of your comments about TM. I have lurked over there off and on but not for past 2-3 months.

jan said...

Solar, interesting thing, my mother died 30 years ago and I am still not over it. It was the most painful thing I have ever experienced. Someone once told me that when your mother passes away, you are then a "motherless child" no matter how old. For years I did feel that way.

jan said...

Coreen, I too feel that everyone here is a friend, even though I have not met anyone here but Carol. Sometimes when I cannot sleep at night, I will come here to the Swamp and read comments and even go back to other times and it is like "I don't feel alone."

jan said...

It is a very special place, here at the Swamp. We sometimes get legal advice from Coreen and some information about our technology from Chloe. I feel a connection with Renee, because we both work with fabric and thread. Of course, it goes without saying that I will always be connected with Carol because of our history together. Solar brings something special because he is our male presence and he always brings a bright light to the conversations.

Carol said...

Love seeing and hearing from you Solar. You did get your invitation to post? Didn't you? Since my stroke, I've been nervous to post no confidence.. You guy are some of my best friends. Would be lost without you guys. Don't ever leave me. This is OUR blog.

I've been really hurting with that new injury to my left flank. It I juried some ribs. I can barely get in and out of my recliner..there are things I have to do or I wouldn't get out of my chair. I want my roommate to hurry and move in.

Chloe, I watched some Netflix last night. I do have Amazon on my remote and that other thing but can't really read the word.

Warm outside today. Feels like Spring. I managed to force myself to go shopping at Wally zworld. I have to have food for the Maggot and me.

solar I still miss my mom. There's frequent times I think... I need to ask mom about that or tell her about something. Then I remember I Can't. Hate that

solar, you have a very special presence here. Yep, like God. I certainly can buy that you are a God.. We all have a piece of a God in us.

Please hang with us more often and share your wisdom. You have a lot of wisdom. And I bet your mom is responsible for much of that. You can't get to z97 without acquiring a lot of wisdom.

Carol said...

Had that feeling someone was sitting on my couch again this morning when I woke up. I think it is my guardian angel. Yes Chloe, it could be your protective thoughts that sent her there.

Unknown said...

Carol,

I am so glad (but not at all surprised) that your guardian angel is keeping a close watch over you, making sure you are aware of her/his presence.

You're never really alone.

RebelliousRenee said...

sorry you are hurting so much…
hope you have a good time watching the Super Bowl.

Jan… the hardest thing I've had to go through was the death of my mother also. It's been almost 3 years and not a day goes by where I don't think about her. Sometimes a little thing… like a smell… or a color… can bring back a flood of memories. I know she is still with me and will always be.

Carol said...

Don't like this game. Reminds me of when the Saints played the Hawks. Come on Peyton get it together.

Carol said...

Did I ever mention how much I dislike arugula. If there is one small piece of it in my salad, it ruins the entire salad. When I plant A spring garden lettuce mix, I learn what the little arugula sprouts sprouts look like and I kill them.

Unknown said...

You're an arugula murderer? Who would have thought!

I wouldn't know arugula if I saw it (or ate it)! I just know I sure don't want to belong to the club.

(... love it, that - that was what you took away from the Arugula Club comments, Carol!)

It's time to educate myself. I (technologically) can't leave a picture of an arugula leaf here, but I'm going to go over to TM and upload one there.

And even though I'm saddened that Wes Welker once again didn't get his SB ring…. watching Manning poop his pants…. priceless!

Arugula?…. WTF is that… :)

jan said...

I don't know what argula is either. I will try and find out.

We watched the super bowl. It was very disappointing. John is a Peyton fan. I don't care either way. I did hand sewing and ironing while the game was on, but managed to watch it. These are mindless tasks.

jan said...

John and I were home alone, with Ryley. We had brunch with one son and DIL yesterday. The other son's wife went to Montana to see her family and he watched the game with his 2 boys. They both like to stay home for games. We made a trip to Costco before the game to get some yummy food.

jan said...

Renee, sounds like a fun evening.

Carol said...

I assumed by the arugula club you were referring to the snooty group. Obama mentioned early in his presidential campaign the first one that he loved arugula. It's got a funky taste to it and I can taste it and if I have a whole fork full of different young spring greens I can tasted there's a little pinch of arugula.

My roomy should be moving in today. She has to bring her old roommate to the airport in Houston tomorrow. Then she'll be here.

Carol said...

Love you all also. I don't want to be in the arugula club.

Oh, and Carol, came back to tell you that 'Episodes' was terrible by the 3 episode (1 and 2 were funny, and then downhill).

I've been watching Life and it is so good (so far). Excellent concept and both serious and humorous, because of the 'time loss' atmosphere of the lead character.

I'm watching on Amazon (which you really should at least get set up on your Vizeo Tv... pretty self explanatory). But I just looked and it's also free on your Netflix subscription: Life

My internet was down this morning, but it's back up now. They've been working on our lines a lot; hope that means we're closer to getting U-Verse out here. If so, it's about time, and I will be most grateful.

... always dogged by the need for speed.

Carol said...

What is " u Verse" Chloe?

Carol said...

I've finally slowed done Chloe. Don't have a need for speed anymore.

Unknown said...

Carol, U-verse is AT&T's Tv, Internet and phone pkg. We have ATT DSL internet right now and a home phone from them. But we had to get our internet from DirecTV because U-verse isn't out here yet (it's all in the wiring, phone wiring). We recently got rid of DirecTv because it's so overpriced. But when U-verse gets out here, we'll sign up (to replace what we already have from them). It's a good deal.

I'm going to link a page to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. U-verse

Unknown said...

I think when I was mentioning my need for speed, I was probably also referring to my impatience. I short on patience and think that's one of the reasons I enjoy this age of technology. Some things are worse, but more are better, imo.

I think it's good that you don't have the speed need. It sounds like you're doing a better job living in the moment than I am. I need to work on that.

Did roomy start to move in yet? Hope you keep us posted on how things are going. Have all good wishes for you.

Now for the baby steps... the only way to walk into the future... very thoughtfully and carefully.

I must work on my lack of patience problem.

I wanted Lisa to see that orange isthe new Black since she works in corrections and she's workedin the women's facility before. Got tired of it after several episodes.

I cooked supper tonight baked some chicken breasts in cream of mushroom soup.. Made stove top stuffin and steamed broccoli..nice to have someone to cook for.

we are going to the northern part of NH where the big ski areas are. We bought a floating timeshare week up there 20 yrs ago from the NH public television station auction. Rick skis… I visit the pool and hot tubs. We sometimes have friends and family who will come up and ski with Rick. This year his brother, Dan, is coming up for a day… and then 4 of his buddies from HP are coming another day. Our last night up there will be Valentine's Day…. I get to go to my favorite restaurant.

I haven't slept in a long time. I was suppose to see my psychologist today but was too sleepy tp go. But then I couldn't take a nap. Don't you hate that ..when you're too sleepy to go to sleep.

Chloe, did you get my invitation to author on the blog.. So,etching is wrong with my page layout lately.

Carol said...

Renee, is Rick going to have a lot of new powder to ski on?

Coreen, I see you are getting something you don't like...snow

Unknown said...

Carol,
Thank you... yes, I did get your invitation this morning, and I am grateful for it. I just have to think a bit, regarding what I said before about esponsibility. Things seem to be going well here, but I would like to be able to help you in any way I can, should you need help.

Lack of sleep can be a real problem. I think it affects our bodies in much the same way as stress does. Maybe if you have something to take that will help you sleep at night, you could take it temporarily until you get back on the right schedule.

Talking through things with your shrink is sure to help too. Something in the back of your mind must be bothering you. At least that's what I figure is happening when I can't sleep. It's usually not a good feeling, and affects everything... including health.

Unknown said...

Solars remark last time he was here, regarding our unconscious only telling us as much as we need to know... caused me to do some thinking about what he said. Not so much when he said it, but it was what I was inadvertently thinking about not long after I woke up the next morning.

I remember it, because I gave it quite a bit of thought (I could tell that my unconscious mind had been busy talking to me, and my mind was busy sorting it out).

I wanted to ask you, Solar. Is it only tells us as much as we 'need' to know (I'm not talking about the part that is keeping our body going, things like that)... or is it telling us as much as we 'want' to know?

I've come to the same conclusion I always come back to. The conscious mind is the boss and the unconscious mind works for us. We're shirking our duty when we don't take control. It's a lot of work(and responsibility), but it's our job. The unconscious is dependent on the right feedback and constant updating.

Garbage in, garbage out.

We need to use our mind filter.

The conscious mind is the Captain, Captain. :)

... you are still the Captain, aren't you?

I am sure that there are thing we need 'not' to remember though. Painful memories, maybe from when we were helpless children.

I don't think our unconscious will give us more than we can handle. But even with that, our conscious is making the choice and giving the instructions.

Conscious to unconscious: don't tell me enough to make me go crazy!

A conscious choice just the same though.

I don't want to know anything more than I can handle either. And I can't handle much.

Renee, your vacation sounds divine. I love the hot tubs and pools and of course great restaurants. Enjoy!

Chloe, I have never heard of the movie. It just happened to be on network tv and the description sounded interesting.

Interesting stuff about the unconscious. This is what working with our dreams is about. Our dreams are supposed to be giving us info as to what is in our unconscious. content in a dream is symbolic of what our unconscious is trying to make conscious. That is, according to Jung.

We are getting some moisture- snow with rain and cold. it will probably be slick tomorrow as the temps drop to low 20's tonight. Staying home tomorrow.

I think the subconscious is more in control than the conscious. We have to learn to grt control of it so it doesn't screw us up. That's what some of the books I'm reading are trying to teach me. . Meditation helps alsot to take control of it. We end up programming the so conscious with negative thoughts. We need to program it with positive thoughts.

Hey, Carol. Dropped your call and now can't reach you by phone. Will talk to you later about your satellite service.

Let me know when you need help.

Carol, sounds good. I have read that Meditation is a way to get in touch with the unconscious. Walking out of doors and swimming are forms of meditation for me. It helps me turn off my conscious thoughts and get into my unconscious and see what is going on there.

For a change we are getting some moisture in the form of snow and cold weather. Our streets are slick now. Fortunately I can stay home today. Very nice to just cuddle under a blankee with a cup of hot tea and not have to think about getting out.
