This may be my last new post for about a month. I set up for my 9-day fair 2 weeks from tomorrow (Thursday). The fair is Aug 3-11.
When the fair is over, I take a good break. I usually don't go back into my studio until after Labor Day. Hopefully Rick and I will be able at that time to take some day trips to the mountains and the beach. And I always look forward to spending days in my backyard in a lounge chair with a good book and hours to read it.
Jan... yes, New England is lush compared to the southwest desert. But I LOVE the desert... it has it's own unique charms. But the drought situation is no joke. I wish you much luck with your weather.
Renee, looks like summer finally popped there too...envy the day lilies you have...there have been lots of them around here this season...but I don't have any...
I forgot where your annual fair is...far from home?...
Coreen... the fair is held at the base of a ski area... Mt. Sunapee. It's a little over an hour drive northwest of where I live. Not far from the fairgrounds is the second largest lake in NH... Sunapee Lake.
Some people stay there in area campgrounds or get craftspeople together to rent cottages on the lake. I commute back and forth from home. I prefer crashing out on my own couch and sleeping in my own bed.
I LOVE doing this fair.... but will admit that it's exhausting. I will also admit that getting older helps in that department... :)
I'm sitting here watching a thunderstorm blow in and listening to stuff hit the camp. The power has already flashed. It's a combination of exciting and scary to be up here in a strong thunderstorm. Maggie just thinks it's scary.
Hope you thunderstorm is tame Carol. I miss thunderstorms. We have few here and they don't amount to much when they happen. Riley hates thunder. She runs into her taxi when it thunders.
I am very disappointed that ABC has hired Jenny McArthy as one of the women on The View. Her opinions on vaccines causing autism have literally caused the deaths of some children who were not properly immunized against some childhood diseases. Shame on her. The medical research has clearly shown no connection between childhood vaccines and autism. Jenny is basing her opinion on an English physician who has been lost his license to practice medicine over the publications saying that childhood vaccines caused autism. Every MD associated with the publication by this doc have separated themselves from him. ABC is giving her a public forum to spread her misinformation.
I don't know anything about McCarthy Jan. I only occasionally watch the View.
I'm reading my third book on my Kindle. I like that little gadget, easy to read. My left eye comes and goes. Sometimes it's totally blurred. I don't think that it's the cataract because the blurriness gets better and worse but never very clear.
I read two of the Tubby books and now on one of the James Burke books. I'm not looking for anything heavy right now, just an escape. It's fun to read the stories set in the New Orleans area. The Tubby books talked a lot about food and made me hungry.
Jan... I've heard of Jenny McCarthy.... but if you showed me her picture, I wouldn't know her from Adam. I do know the story about the crazy doctor that said autism was caused by childhood vaccines. Shame on anyone that is still spreading this bull pucky around. I've only seen the View when I visit a friend and she has it on the tv.
Carol... glad you're enjoying reading... for me, it's one of life's greatest pleasures. Which Kindle do you have? I have a Touch. It's very sensitive. If I accidentally touch it lightly it will turn the page... drives me nuts.
Mine is the Kindle paperwhite that Coreen recommended. It's so much better that fighting a regular book or paperback book. And as far as accumulating another piece of crap to store...
Renee, the Kindle doesn't give me problems turning the pages unless I touch the screen. One of my laptops does crazy stuff when I'm typing on it. I don't know what I touch to set it off but it starts doing all kinds of stuff, changing font size and pulling up stuff. Maybe it's a ghost.
Jan, does McCarthy have a child with autism? I could see someone who's child suddenly had a change in behavior after getting immunizations thinking that there might be a connection. I'm also a little suspicious of the pharm industry. Everyday there's a commercial on TV for some drug and after they list all the awful side effects, I think..why would someone want to risk taking that, could the benefits outweigh all those nasty risks or are they hoping no one pays attention to them?? It's best, when I have to take something, that I don't read the potential side effects.
I don't have a need to keep up with the autism info but it puzzles me why there is such a high incidence of it now. It seems that it's close to 1 in 100 or less. Why, when people seem to be so much more careful during pregnancy than they used to be. I've often thought that maybe they are just too careful.
I'm enjoying reading just to keep the TV off. All those channels and nothing worth watching, at least that interests me. If I have it on now, I will sneak over to the news channel and listen to the stuff about GZ and TM and I'm really sick and tired of hearing about it but that kid got under my skin. He haunts me. I know there are thousands of other kids with some of the same issues.
It was just a short and sweet thunderstorm yesterday. Our weather has been fairly pleasant lately which is strange for July. It's been a little cooler than usual. More overcast with a nice breeze. We've had little rain except for rare short bursts to keep the dust down. I think it's been hotter up in you guys neck of the woods. Strange.
Carol, McCarthy based her opinion on the fraudulent research of Dr. Andrew Wakefield (English doc). It has been proved to be fraudulent research. There have been no other studies connecting vaccines to autism. The valid medical research now connects autism to having babies at an older age (much like Down Syndrome) for both male and female parents and to some environmental issues as well.
The fact is that some parents who have children with autism, like McCarthy have found forums for their beliefs. There is no valid evidence for this.
The journalist who wrote the articles says Wakefield should face criminal charges Wakefield says his work has been "grossly distorted" British journal BMJ accuses Wakefield of faking data for his 1998 paper The study was retracted and Wakefield lost his license in 2010
(CNN) -- A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines is an "elaborate fraud," according to a medical journal -- a charge the physician behind the study vigorously denies.
The British medical journal BMJ, which published the results of its investigation, concluded Dr. Andrew Wakefield misrepresented or altered the medical histories of all 12 of the patients whose cases formed the basis of the 1998 study -- and that there was "no doubt" Wakefield was responsible. The journalist who wrote the BMJ articles said Thursday he believes Wakefield should face criminal charges.
I agree that we use too many medications in this country. However, vaccines, especially during infancy and childhood, have greatly decreased the mortality and morbidity rates.
There are several possible explanations for the higher incidence of autism now. For one thing, autism is diagnosed much more often in the past 20 years or so. Most of these kids that had autism years ago were believed to have other disorders like mental retardation - although we now call it developmental disabilities. There is a genetic predisposition as if a family has one child with autism, there is a much greater probability of having other children with autism. More people are delaying having children into their late 30's and older which increases the chances of having a child with birth defects, down syndrome and autism.
We have had crazy weather for July too. It has been cool and rainy. July is usually our hottest month although we do get rain in the afternoons when it is so hot.
Carol, glad you are enjoying your kindle. We had been collecting so many books and now I am slowly getting rid of many of them. They take up room and collect dust. I do have some very old books I need to try and sell. I used to collect older books. Now I just want to get rid of stuff that we don't use any more.
Jenny McCarthy is known as a beautiful and sexy woman. She has been on Two and half men a lot. She really flaunts her body - which is ok. No problem there. But, she has had a lot of influence about autism with young parents.
I finished my first James Burke novel. I enjoyed it. I didn't even turn on my TV. I just ordered another one. One day I might get into something more educational but for now I'm just enjoying reading. It's a nice escape.
This morning's local newspaper had a story about a movie opening this weekend...The Conjuring...didn't pay much attention to the trailer, but it is based on one of the adventures of the local ghost hunters (Lorraine & Ed Warren) You may remember I mentioned them at some point...
Jan... congrats on the rain. The northeast is expecting the heat and humidity to stop later this afternoon with a cold front.... of course that means big thunderstorms.
Glad cooler weather will be here. The heat and humidity have be exhausting. I've been sweating in my studio even with air conditioning.
Glad you had a nice rain Jan. We've had almost perfect weather here for July. We were short on rain for a while but then we were getting a little thunderbumper here in the afternoons but without too much rain. All those we've had in the last week just added up to a little over a half inch of rain and the clouds and showers have kept the temps down. Of course the worst is still to come but I'm sooo thankful to the Universe for the last couple of weeks.
I finally had a decent night's sleep last night. I had not been sleeping for 2-3 nights. Yesterday, I felt like a zombie. I went to the pool yesterday and did about 20 min of swimming and 10 min of walking in the water (what my doc told me to do). Last night I went to bed at 8:30 and was asleep about 9. I woke up a few times but was back to sleep until about 2:30 then started waking up and having more difficulty getting back to sleep but slept in spurts until about 6:30. My knee still hurts some, but I think I might be having some sciatic pain in my leg too. It is the right leg. The ibuprofen just takes the edge off, does not do away with the pain.
Doesn't sound that decent Jan but I'm glad it's better.
I'm now on my 5th book since I got my Kindle a week ago. I guess I'm going on my motto of anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I found something beside fishing and playing slots that takes me away from it all....reading. It's too hot to fish and too expensive to play slots. Since these books aren't free, this may get expensive also.
That new series on Hallmark starts tonight, Cedar Cove with Andie MacDowell. I think she plays a judge. If you read this in time, you might want to check it out. It starts at 7p my time. I haven't had the TV on much since I started reading. I don't miss it.
I'm on my third James Burke novel. It's set in New Iberia, close to New Orleans. They have even mentioned my town several times. The last book was set in Montana, they were on vacation. Most of the characters are really bad guys. Even the good guys are kinda bad. I think Burke writes well but what do I know. He keeps my interest.
I did get my grass at the house mowed. I didn't want to do it but I told myself, it only takes an hour you dummy. The rains had it getting pretty tall. That's another thing I don't like about summer, mowing. There was a 50% chance of rain today but we only got a sprinkle so far. Yesterday, it rained a little harder and thundered. I put Maggie in my lap and read. That's the only time she likes togetherness.
With the heat, my appetite has been pretty poor. I've lost about 20 pounds since I put on all that weight while chair bound. I'm glad I've lost it and then some. I don't want to eat unless it's something that I really have a hankering for. Tonight I cooked up some turnips greens with little turnips cut up in them. A friend was talking about eating some yesterday and ever since, I've craved some. I bought some frozen ones at Wally World. I cut up some jalapenos in them. I got some little cherry turnovers I will make later. Strange meal, turnip greens and cherry turnovers. Good thing I don't have anyone else to cook fot.
I was sorry to hear that Helen Thomas died. My heart went out to her when they went after her for the remarks she made. I thought she was such a neat lady.
Carol, glad you are enjoying your Kindle. Most of the time, I only read before going to sleep. When I get close to the end of some books, I can hardly wait until the end so then I read more often.
Thanks for the heads up about the new series with Andie McDowell. Sounds good. It is showing 2 times here tonight. I missed most of the 1st one so am taping the 2nd one.
Jan, it's not always turnip greens. Last night I had a hankering for some fried chicken so I cut up a boneless skinless chicken breast into small pieces, coated it in some Southern Spicy mix and fried it real crispy and that's all I had, except for a large handful of M&M choc peanuts I had for dessert. Not too low cal. I usually have dessert.
Carol, If I cut up and/or cook the meat, then I can't eat it, especially chicken. This is a new thing that has happened to me in last couple of years. Even if I see it raw and someone else cooks it, I can't eat it. Weird, huh. We usually buy meat cooked and then I make or cook the veggies or other side dishes.
We will watch Cedar Cove another night. I rented a movie at red box - Arbitrage with Richard Gere and Susan Sarandon. I like both of them. It was an interesting movie.
Jan... we have several air conditioners and a dehumidifier. But we don't need them today! The air has changed. I guess some very heavy thunderstorms hit here and there throughout the region... we didn't get a drop of rain. I don't care... I can breath!
Yes... the RedSox have won one and the Yankees have won one.... the series finale is tonight's game of the week on ESPN. Go Red Sox!
Jan, I had forgotten that I wanted to see that movie Arbitrage. I get the feeling that you weren't that crazy about the movie. Would you recommend it? I checked it out on Rotten Tomatoes. I also checked out the Conjuring. It has good reviews. It might be a little scary for my old age. I used to like movies and books like that. The Exorcist and Amityville Horror were two books I could hardly wait to read. Both scared me. I didn't sleep without a night light for years after the Exorcist and I had to get that Amityville book out of my house after I read it. It seemed evil.
Amityville was also based on a story up around your neck of the woods Coreen.
My obsession with reading will run it's course. I needed something to avoid watching the tube. Now I know that I have something. I was addicted to that Zimm story and it was depressing me more than I already was. Didn't need that.
That story did attract the attention of the world. Again, I think that the Universe is telling us something and it's, again, about guns. I do think that that guy had a mission to kill someone that night and he found someone who he thought would qualify. He may have gotten off but I'm sure he is paying and will for quite a while.
Carol... no... I do a small fair on Thanksgiving weekend. I also sell through galleries.
My upcoming fair is one of the biggest fine arts and crafts fairs in the country. It's the oldest continuous fair... this is year 79. And it's for 9 straight days. It takes me 6 months to get ready and I make half my income for the year there.
Most professional craftspeople do many fairs throughout the country. They also work an average of 70-75 hrs a week. I choose not to do this. Rick made very good money in high tech and we don't have children. We built our house without a mortgage... our expenses are low. When the economy was humming, I worked about 50-55 hrs a week. Now I try to work no more than 40 hours. But now I make less money. That's ok... getting ready to semi-retire. Time is now more important to me than money.
Renee, your arts and crafts fairs sound like something I would love to attend. I must find out the dates and locations and plan a trip there sometime. We have a couple of big arts and crafts fairs here during the year. I love going and seeing what people are doing. We have a fiber arts fair in addition.
Renee, glad your weather has turned and you are getting a break. We have central air (refrigerated) here. Many people have water coolers they keep on top of the house. Because it is so dry here, the water coolers work very well. We have refrigerated because John and I both have terrible allergies and need to keep the windows closed. Refrigerated air is more expensive on electricity but on the other hand the water coolers use a lot of water. Some houses are built with adobe bricks and they are supposed to be very energy efficient and seldom need any kind of air conditioning. Our house is not adobe. Adobe houses are very expensive.
Carol, we both liked the movie, Arbitrage. I did not think it was scary, but it kept you on the edge of your seat. I think it is well worth renting. The acting was great.
I have slept so much better the last 2 nights. I still have some pain in my knee, but it does not keep me awake as much at night. I think it has been some other stresses that are going on that have affected my sleep too - family and work related.
I have been swimming every day and walking in the warm water pool may be helping too.
Jan... we built our house 34 yrs ago and we didn't needed air conditioning in the main part of the house until just a few years ago. I've always had one in my weaving studio... but that's because it's on the third floor.
Now even out here in the woods, it's nice to have ac if one wants to sleep at night without sticking to the sheets.
If I were purple and living in Florida, I'd find a way to move. It's a fun state to visit for a week's vacation. But endless highways, amusement parks, and shopping malls is not my idea of heaven.
Florida always was everyone's idea of 'paradise'...
For me, not so much...January, February maybe (but only if you have money & don't have to work, nice place to visit for those cold months, would not want to have to work there, then it's just like any other place!)...and yes, it is definitely a tourist destination, pretty sure it's economy relies heavily on tourists, Disneyworld & all its neighbors...
guess what & no surprise, not buying into any idea that Florida is less safe for anyone than any other place...that is a narrative being pushed by those with an agenda...& it is faulty at best...
A totally silly 'news' bit...but slightly more amusing than the countdown to the royal birth...
for some bizarre reason Geraldo Rivera, who I listen to on radio mornings, saw fit to put a self pic of himself semi-nude on twitter yesterday (it was in the NY Daily News & yes Imus teased it earlier)...he opened his radio show playing rod stewart if you think I'm sexy...what is with these guys!!..

I did call Carol's tele no. and got a message back from Mary who said that Carol did have a stroke - right side. That was all. This was about 12 noon, mountain time.
If anyone hears anything more, please let us all know.
John and I are saying prayers for her recovery from here.
Mary, if you see this, please let us know how she - and you are doing.
"What is Life?" (Extract/variation from Hindu Scriptures)
Life is Love. Enjoy it. Life is Beauty. Praise it. Life is Spirit. Realise it. Life is Song. Sing it. Life is a Mystery. Unfold it. Life is a Challenge. Meet it. Life is a Goal. Achieve it. Life is an Adventure. Dare it. Life is a Sorrow. Overcome it. Life is a Tragedy. Face it. Life is a Game. Play it. Life is a Duty. Perform it. Life is an Opportunity. Take it. Life is a Struggle. Fight it. Life is a Journey. Complete it. Life is a Puzzle. Solve it. Life is a Promise. Fulfil it.
I just talked with Mary. She was in the room with Carol so got to say a few words to Carol and hear her voice. I asked her if it was ok to get on here and tell you how she is doing. Mary says she is doing a little better. They have done an MRI and it was a stroke on the right side. She does have some weakness on the left side.
Her friend, Dawn (tomato woman) had been calling her at home and not getting an answer so she went to her house. Dawn called 911 and she went to the hospital by ambulance.
I know when Carol gets back on here she will want to tell us all about it.
To all Carol's friends on the blog, this is TW (Georgia Dawn), saw Carol couple of hrs. ago and am very happy to say she is doing well...even better today than yesterday, speech is profoundly better, movement on left side profoundly better, she gave me a good scare but I know she will make a FULL recovery...
Coreen and Renee, we are having a very unusual summer. We have had more high temps in 80's than 90's for the past 3 weeks. We have had good rainfalls too. We are still in a drought but not nearly as bad as a month ago.

Coreen... now this is weather that brings a smile to my face :) I know it's only suppose to last a couple days... but hey I'll take it. Have shut off the air conditioners and opened the windows... letting the air circulate throughout the house.
Jan... good news for your weather front... hope it lasts.
Jan, my doc found that I have a hyper coagulating disorder called anti phospholipid antibody syndrome. You may have heard of it becauce or can cause some women to miscarry freaquwnrly. I'll have to take meds to prevent. Lofting.
Had a big storm here tonight. The wind gusts were up to 75 mph and 2 huge trees from next door blew down into our yards. One in front and one in back. The one in back fell on our concrete block privacy fence. The tree is laying on it with the remains of half the tree in our yard. Our fence will have to be replaced. The front yard tree feel right next to our house, but not any big damage other than maybe a bit to the roof. I guess we are lucky.
OMG Jan... sounds like you did dodged a bullet. Trees can do huge damage to a house.
We had a bad ice storm 5 yrs ago. It looked like a bomb had gone off in our yard. Luckily no trees hit our house or our cars. But others weren't so lucky.
Carol... work hard in rehab. Bet you can't wait to get back home.
Good morning Carol, hope you feeling well this morning. I so look forward to your messages here, no matter how brief.
Just heard on news that the storm last night was one of the worst to hit here. Winds were up to 89 mph. lots of areas flooded. Our ground does not hold water well. We are fortunate as our house sits up pretty high.
I will take some pics of the damage and post later.
StILL KIxko g. Bored bit decided not a goof idea to co Plain. It could be worse. Y PT said most people Work the stroke like o had can't Even move their left Side at all.
To all, I'm headed up to see Carol in a bit, she seems much better daily, she can get in and out of bed to "use the facilities" and walk around with no help. Her only problem is chewing solid food and just a bit of sagginess in her left cheek area. I thank God because she scared the "beJesus" outta me but her full recovery has begun...!!!!! I told her 'we are going fishing again"....
Hi Georgia (Dawn). Wonderful to hear this. I hope you guys do go fishing as soon as Carol is out and able to do that. I know that fishing is something that she loved.
Mary, thank you so much for your telephone calls to me about your twin. It was good to hear your voice on the telephone.
Carol, when you have recovered, you can write a book about your experience. I remember that you read the book by the neurologist about her own stroke. I hope you are getting good nursing care.
Just got through packing all my inventory for my fair. The weather here has turned perfect... in the 70s and sunny. It's suppose to stay that way all throughout this and next week. Hallelujah!
When the weather is too hot and humid, I have a harder time selling my scarves. Not too many want to wrap one around their necks.
There's a man who makes lambskin coats. He and I are always in the same tent. He will tell me "this is weather made just for you and me, Renee."
Carol... been thinking of you and how God works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it takes a crisis to let us know who's really there for us when the chips are down. And also to allow us to see what's really important and what we can ignore if so choose.
Carol... I told the folks over on TrailMix about your stroke this morning. You are part of the TM family and I'm sure that Craig and everyone would want to know. They are wishing you well over there.
Carol, I just heard today that you are in the hospital (rehab now?) and can't tell you how sorry I am, but also relieved that you are healing and glad to see that you are thinking as clearly as ever.
I'm so glad you have Mary and Dawn there for you. If there is anything I can do, please contact me at the same ol' email: chloe@doubt.com.
I love you, Carol. I'll be checking in at the swamp daily hoping to hear how you're doing. Hope you're back to reading that Burke novel soon!
Carol, hope to hear from you again soon. I am going to see my sister in TX Thurs am and return on Sun am. Will miss seeing you all. Am not taking computer and have not gotten on here from phone.
You all have a great weekend. Back here Sunday. Will miss you all.
Just got an email update from Dawn guys...she wanted to let us all know that Carol will be going home on Saturday & will be staying with Dawn...
Carol has her iphone & Dawn said if we want to call her. its ok...
Jan, Don't have your email address for some reason, thought I did, if you want to email me coreenesq@sbcglobal.net I will forward Dawn's note about Carol's progress...I think you have Carol's phone #, but if not I can give it to you by email...
Dawn, can't say it enough, you are a fantastic friend...we should all be so fortunate to have someone like you around...You & your mom are in my prayers...
p.s. I'm checking on your Braves, even though you know my heart is in NYC!!...your guys are looking real strong, mine not so much...
To all, I spent a few hrs. at the hospital with Carol and her therapists reviewing all her facial and physical exercises we will be doing each day and we were able to hire a "sitter" to come in and stay with Carol while I go to the nursing home to tend to my Mom each day. At this point the Dr.s feel far too soon for her to be left alone as she is doing some things inpulsively and is not able to reason out the safety aspect of it. I watched her eat and we will have to work on clearing out the left side of her face (cheek) as her tongue doesn't move the food around enough in her mouth to swallow, her appetite seems to be coming back strong, she gobbled down some mashed potatoes, green beans and of course since it's Friday in the "Catholic capitol", they had some fried fish.....boy did she want her lemon juice for that...!!!!Carol could live on lemons, broccoli and lots of jars of olives....she loves olives, the big ones with pits....bad as a baseball player and his sunflower seeds..! She'll be at my house some time after noon tomorrow..... Hooray....!!!!!! love to all,.......
Dawn, thanks so much for that thorough update on Carol. Looks like you both have a lot of work ahead you, but it's good to know things are progressing in the right direction and that you've been to find a sitter.
Sorry, I didn't know that your mom was in a nursing home and hope she is doing OK too. You must be a very strong person.
I hope you'll have time to keep us up on how Carol is doing, and how you (and your mother) are doing (coping) too. Must be a terrible strain on everyone. My email is up-thread if you or Carol need anything. Meanwhile I'll keep checking in here to see how you all are doing.
ps Don't you have kids too? Don't forget to take care of yourself also.
Dawn, thank you for an update of what Carol will be needing. I remember her love of olives and lemon juice and the sunflower seeds. She put lemon juice on everything.
I got back from Austin today, actually the town she lives in is Buda - about 20 min south of Austin. We had a great visit. Her daughter and family left on Fri morning for Lake of the Ozarks so we had 2 great days together. We brought in food and watched several movies and talked, talked and talked. Very satisfying. She does not drive so I took a shuttle to and from her house. My leg held out during the trip.
I am just wondering what is going on here at the swamp.
Carol, would love to hear from all of you.
We are having exceptionally cool weather for this time of year. Our hi temps have been in 80's and low 90's.
The trees that fell in our yard have almost all been removed. We have one pile in back that will be removed this coming week.
Our granddaughter arrives on Monday. She will be here until Friday when we will take a road trip to take her back to AR and see some more family. We will end with a trip to Tulsa to take care of some business.
I am very interested in what is going on with the discussion of medical mariajuana. Dr. Gupta has reversed his opinion on the drug and has an hour long program on it sun night on CNN. I have a 24 year old grandson who began having seizures last Oct. He is on his 3rd drug for control of seizures and am just wondering if weed would help control his seizures. Not much research in this country but according to Dr. Gupta, there is beginning to be some good research from other countries.
Jan... I'm still at my fair until tomorrow. I'm doing well and making money... but I'm exhausted. I will crash next week and do nothing... and sleep late.
Carol... just wanna say Hi! Keep on keeping on, girl.

Carol.... nice to see you posting again. Technology is great... but what a pain in the ass when it's not working. We've all become so used to having communications at our fingertips.
Saw lots of craftspeople using something called The Square to process credit cards. It's this little white square thingy you put on your cell phone or your iPad. You swipe the credit card and do the transaction immediately like at a store. I still use a manual credit card tool euphemistically called "the knuckle buster". I have to call all my credit card info to the bank when I get home at night. Guess I have to make a change and keep up with the technology.
Carol, glad to see that you are back in action...keep getting stronger each day...
As for tech stuff...consider me a dinosaur...but I have seen the square credit card reader, but in my business not to many attorneys take credit cards!!...
Hey Carol.... football season is upon us. The Patriots play their second pre-season game tonight. Can't wait... I LOVE me my football! Good luck to your Saints this season. I'm sure you and the rest of the fans are relieved to have Sean Payton back as coach.

Sorry... I don't know how to hyperlink here... but I know at least Carol will want to know. The lawsuit against Paula Deen has been dismissed!
The white woman who allegedly "over heard" Paula making racial comments may have done damage to Paula's career... but she will NOT be getting a huge sum of money.... beeeeitch.
Hi guys. Sorry thAT i hAvdng been raround much. Typing is a problem. Gloria, big sis is here and a nice addigion. She had me cancdl my sitters since she sould be hefe.
I'm hA vinv z pfoblm deih major anzxiety. can't get a handle on it. i'vd startee Lexapro andc you bguys know how i feeel aboug those meds ,rfddGo hygskr onf mfsnd i'm desparate.
Can't edit ehat I am writting because I can't reae it. If you can, you havd ESP.
Hello, Carol, Flatus here. I understand every word you type and your absolute, total frustration at having to take meds for your anxiety.
Fall back on your years of training and realize that medication of this sort is sometimes required in the short term. And, for goodness sake, grab Gloria and give her one of those hugs that is reserved for sisters.
Those of us on the Trail think of you often! Flatus
Carol, so glad to see you here. Like Flatus, I can understand what you are typing. I do know your feelings about drugs, but when you need them, you do need them.
Hi to Gloria. So glad to hear she is with you.
Hi Renee, glad to see you back here too. I have been reading on TM and sounds like you had a relaxing vacation.
We are back from our road trip too. Granddaughter is back home. Looking forward to fall.
Hey Carol, I must have that esp thing, since I do understand what you typed...or maybe we have all been hanging around together too long!...
Gloria, glad to know you are with Carol...How long are you staying...
Maggie is home, I think I recall that she likes Gloria too...so good to have both of them there...
Not much to report here, we did get to see John Edward last week in Stamford, about 600 people attended...he was very intense & deliberate when he was 'reading' someone...he is a big contrast to Theresa Caputo...and no he did not reach out to any of the people I was with, so I'm still a skeptic you know!!...but it was interesting to see him & again those he read seemed to believe so what do I know...
The agreement dismissing the case attracted about 10 seconds of media time, but then again it doesn't fit the narrative...
They set out to destroy her & they effectively did...
As for the 'agreement' while it says no costs or fees awarded, I am reasonably sure that in all likelihood there was a money payout...outside the agreement to dismiss, after all the intent of filing a lawsuit was always to get paid...
Here's the ap story from a couple of days ago...& since then mums the word from the oh so honest media...
Coreen, thanks for posting the link to the article about P.Deen. I think the next time she talks to the public about issues such as this, she needs a speech writer - since the article reports her problems mainly stemmed from what she said in interviews.
Carol... I can figure out most of what you're typing. I agree with Flatus.... be a good girl and take your meds... or else... :)
Rick and I are thinking about getting a dog. A friend had her fancy pedigree French bulldog get out and did it with a fancier designer bred Maltapoo (half maltese, half poodle). The Frenchie had 4 pups last week. Haven't had a dog in years... but we are tempted. She says the female pup has our name on it.
Carol, About that commitment when get a pet/dog. I did not want another dog after our Lobie died (our dog/coyote) mix. Ryley was my sister' - and her late husband's - dog. My sis had to give her up and she would have given Ryley to her son. Her son is gone from his home most of the time and Ryley would have been home alone in a crate - since she is not completely house broken. So I took her. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I did. I have never had a little dog before and she is such a little love bug. I find that she reduces a lot of stress for me. She curls up next to me or sits in my lap and I love that.
I know all about commitment and owning dogs... I've had plenty in my lifetime... haven't had one in 15 years though. Rick and I were traveling too much.
We still have things to consider.... such as doing a lot of local travel now. Can't bring a dog to the beach. Can't bring a dog to our timeshare weeks. I have cats and leave food out for them all day... can't do that with a dog in the house.
Jan... this would be a little dog. I've never had one. I've always been partial to larger dogs. My preferred breed for years was the Labrador Retriever. If we were 10 yrs older, this would be a no brainer... I'd take that dog in a heartbeat. We still have to think about it. Right now, the pup is only a week old.
Jan.... thanks for being honest with me. Since Rick retired... can't believe it'll be a year already this Sept. 1st.... we have been doing a number of on the spur of the moment day trips. Such as this past Sunday Rick took me to Mt Snow in Vermont (a famous big ski area). In summertime, they run the ski lift to give rides to the top and back down on weekends. We played around on top and enjoyed the view. Then we went to a local cafe and had a really nice late lunch. Then we stopped at a famous Vermont landmark... The Vermont Country Store... and bought some bread, jam, and cookies to take home. All in all, we were gone about 8 hours. We couldn't take a dog up the lift.
We are going back to the beach in a couple weeks to go to a summer stock playhouse and see West Side Story for my birthday. Then at the end of Sept, we are going up north to spend a few days at the Scottish Festival.
As tempted as we are to take the dog.... we aren't sure that now is the right time to have a dog in our lives again.
Oh... I also forgot to mention that I have retired my handwoven housewares line. Cotton has gone up so much I can no longer make enough of a profit. But more importantly, the line was very labor intensive. I will now have more time to go on those spur of the moment events with Rick... especially now that he's retired.
Jan... there's nothing sorry about it. I've been thinking about this move for about 5 yrs. As cotton prices have been going up, I can only charge so much for a placemat. My profit margin has been progressively getting smaller. I used to love to weave them.... but now I'm tired of how hard I work to make them for so little money.
Besides I'm thrilled to be concentrating exclusively on my scarves. I've been buying up novelty yarns on ebay. I'm going to do a lot of experimenting this winter. I need this... I was beginning to burn out.
Carol, so good to hear you pampered yourself yesterday. Hi to Mary and Gloria. Hope your wills and trust seminar is informative. We are working on that stuff too.
Carol.... hurrah for you! It must feel sooooo good to get out and be pampered.
Rick is working on these issues too. He's the oldest and the executor and now has power of attorney. He's been getting his mom's name off of stuff and trying to consolidate things. Been working on a trust and what it entails too. A lot of work and many times no thanks from relatives.... just gimme mine thank you very much.
Sdminar was boring. somehow, I don' care what happens to my stuff after I'm dead. Lunch was great. Went to Panera's. Good food and i hzvd oom fof dextra caloies. Dowmn to 128 lb. 30 pounds less than in Jan. I was 168 then
I like the soups (and other stuff) at Panera. We do not have one here. Wish we did.
Yes Carol, you have lost some weight. That sounds like a weight you had when we were in undergrad classes.
I remember one of the last times I had something to eat at Panera. We were living in Northwest AR. I was teaching at the univ in Fayetteville AR. JOhn had driven over from the little town we lived in to swim at the univ pool with me. It was Dec. I think. We stopped at Panera to eat on the way home. I got a big muffin to take home. It started snowing really hard. we got out of town and it was a white out. I could not see the side of the road as my window wipers were not clearing the snow. I was panicky. We had gotten into country and I pulled off onto a country road and pulled into a driveway of a home. I knocked on the door and threw myself on the mercy of the family. I was shaking all over and asked if I could call my husband to come back and pick me up and leave my car there overnight. They said I could. Thank God we had cell phones. I called John. The home owner gave him directions to the home and John came back for me. It was one of the biggest snow storms there in history of that area. We could not get back to get the car for several days. I remember we ate at Panera, because as I got panicky, I was picking off chuncks of that muffin and eating like a starving person, yet not at all hungry.
Carol.... NFL teams don't make their final cuts until 6:00pm EST tomorrow (Saturday). Won't know if Tebow makes the team until then.
He played kinda OK last night. The announcers (who were locals) kept saying how much everyone in the front office, the coaching staff, and the players loved Tim. Every time he left the field for the sidelines it was obvious.
I don't care one way or the other. If they think he can help the team, fine... if not, I'm fine with that too. I just want my Patriots to win.
Carol... don't feel guilty, girl... you deserve to have a little fun.
The news is in.... the Patriots have cut Tim Tebow. The Boston sports reporters are all saying that football skills wise, he had a terrible training camp. I watched all 4 of the Pats pre-season games. He wasn't really any good. Everyone says he worked hard and brought a very positive attitude in the locker room. But that isn't enough to make the team. I do respect him as a person.... but as a football player.... he leaves a lot to be desired. Sorry if you were rooting for him, Carol.

the fuchsia was beginning to rot several weeks ago... but now that it's finally stopped raining... it's back and looking healthy.
Renee, your summer flowers are beautiful. Such beautiful colors and the green - Oh my gosh, I loved all the green. Thank you for the new post.
Renee, looks like summer finally
popped there too...envy the day lilies you have...there have been
lots of them around here this season...but I don't have any...
Thanks for putting up the post of the lovely flower pics Renee.
I am almost finished with the book, Roundhouse. It has been so good. I hate for it to end. The author (a woman) is a good writer.
Jenny McCarthy is a dangerous woman. She is worse than Typhoid Mary because her influence goes far and wide. What a Twit with a capital T.
Mine is the Kindle paperwhite that
Coreen recommended.
The journalist who wrote the articles says Wakefield should face criminal charges
Wakefield says his work has been "grossly distorted"
British journal BMJ accuses Wakefield of faking data for his 1998 paper
The study was retracted and Wakefield lost his license in 2010
(CNN) -- A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines is an "elaborate fraud," according to a medical journal -- a charge the physician behind the study vigorously denies.
Sorry for the "teaching" moment. As you can tell, the issue with autism is one I feel strongly about. My passion for community health is showing.
Jenny McCarthy is known as a beautiful and sexy woman. She has been on Two and half men a lot. She really flaunts her body - which is ok. No problem there. But, she has had a lot of influence about autism with young parents.
Thanks for the info Jan.
Renee, your fuchsia looks great. When the one I tried to carry down from Seattle started to rot, it didn't stop. I think they like cooler weather.
I finished my first James Burke novel. I enjoyed it. I didn't even turn on my TV. I just ordered another one. One day I might get into something more educational but for now I'm just enjoying reading. It's a nice escape.
Carol...
nothing wrong with reading for escapism. I do read non fiction.... but I will confess that the older I get, the more I enjoy fiction.
Crikey.... can wait for this heat to break! The weather people keep saying Sunday, Sunday... well... Sunday... get over here already will ya!
Weather guy said so far in July 10 days have been 90 or above...& all the rain in June around 20", so far
this month nothing...
Every day blurs into the next...and if anyone isn't sure its really hot, humid & miserable
the tv & radio keeps reminding everyone...
This morning's local newspaper had a story about a movie opening this weekend...The Conjuring...didn't pay much attention to the trailer, but it is based on one of the adventures of the local ghost hunters (Lorraine & Ed Warren)
You may remember I mentioned them
at some point...
Coreen, I have seen the Conjuring advertised on TV. Looks interesting. But will wait for it to come out in DVD.
we are having a heck of a thunderstorm. I hope we get a good rainfall out of it.
My wish was granted. We are getting a good rain.
Jan...
congrats on the rain.
Carol, glad you are getting some cooler weather. Your rainfall sounds like what we get in a year. LOL.
Renee, hope you get your cold front soon. Do you have any air conditioning?
I read until late at night. By the end, I'm down to squinting to read with my good eye.
I see that the Yankees/Red Socks are 1 win each.
Carol, glad you are enjoying your Kindle. Most of the time, I only read before going to sleep. When I get close to the end of some books, I can hardly wait until the end so then I read more often.
No wonder you lose wt so fast Carol. greens and turnips have practically no calories. I should eat like you.
I just got home and found out that Helen Thomas died. She was a legend in her own time.
I think it is fun to read a book about places I have been.
I also missed most of the first showing of Cedar Cove and caught some more of it on the second showing. I'm more interested in the book I'm reading.
I tried reading before bed but only got through a page or two before my eyes crossed and fell asleep.
I had to look the word, Arbitrage, up on Google. I still don't quite understand what it means.
Jan... we have several air conditioners and a dehumidifier.
Go Red Sox!
I think I've lost a few pounds over the last several weeks. Haven't wanted to eat much either.... except for lots of watermelon.
I'll probably eat like a horse today... :)
Renee, your art fair sounds like fun. Is it the only fair where you sell your art?
I see that there's lots of rain headed my way. Yesterday I thought about waiting until today to mow. Glad I didn't.
Carol...
I agree about Zimmerman. Look at O.J. Simpson's life.
If I were am African American and living in Florida, I would try to find a way to move.
Florida always was everyone's idea
of 'paradise'...
For me, not so much...January, February maybe (but only if you have money & don't have to work, nice place to visit for those cold months, would not want to have to work there, then it's just like any other place!)...and yes, it is definitely a tourist destination, pretty sure it's economy relies heavily on tourists, Disneyworld & all its neighbors...
guess what & no surprise, not buying into any idea that Florida is less safe for anyone than any other place...that is a narrative
being pushed by those with an agenda...& it is faulty at best...
Renee, was not in the least pleased with the result of the mini-marathon!!...
A totally silly 'news' bit...but slightly more amusing than the countdown to the royal birth...
for some bizarre reason Geraldo Rivera, who I listen to on radio mornings, saw fit to put a self pic of himself semi-nude on twitter yesterday (it was in the NY Daily News & yes Imus teased it earlier)...he opened his radio show playing rod stewart if you think I'm sexy...what is with these
guys!!..
Carol may have had a stroke. Going to hosp. to see what's going on.
Oh Mary, don't know what to say but certainly appreciate you letting us know what is happening...Carol is in my thoughts and prayers...
Mary... please let us know what is happening with Carol. And let her know we here at the swamp are thinking about her and praying for her.
Hi Mary, I just got on here. Please let us know how Carol is doing. Tell her John and I are praying for her. Tell her I love her.
Facing the Future
Every journey begins
With but a small step.
And every day is a chance
For a new, small step
In the right direction.
Just follow your Heartsong.
− Mattie J. Stepanek (then 8 years old)
Renee, thank you for the lovely poem. I remember that little boy.
"What is Life?"
(Extract/variation from Hindu Scriptures)
Life is Love. Enjoy it.
Life is Beauty. Praise it.
Life is Spirit. Realise it.
Life is Song. Sing it.
Life is a Mystery. Unfold it.
Life is a Challenge. Meet it.
Life is a Goal. Achieve it.
Life is an Adventure. Dare it.
Life is a Sorrow. Overcome it.
Life is a Tragedy. Face it.
Life is a Game. Play it.
Life is a Duty. Perform it.
Life is an Opportunity. Take it.
Life is a Struggle. Fight it.
Life is a Journey. Complete it.
Life is a Puzzle. Solve it.
Life is a Promise. Fulfil it.
Well Renee, simply stated but yet so very true...now if we all could learn to act on just a couple of those thoughts...
Coreen.... Ha! I know what you mean... I sure hope that singing in the shower counts for #4.
Jan... thanks for the update on Carol. Sounds like she will get better... though I know that could take a while.
Carol was too tired to say much to me yesterday, but I cannot tell you how much hearing just a few words from her meant to me.
I will telephone Mary today. I will ask if she will post updates for Carol on here.
Jan, that Carol was able to speak to you sounds encouraging, you would have more insight as to any course of treatment that is ahead...
Any updates that you and Mary want to share will be appreciated...
Georgia...
thanks so much for the update... and what WONDERFUL news! Next time you see her, please tell her we all love her and are praying for her.
You take care too.
That's great news TW...and yes please let Carol know we are all thinking of her...
TW, If possible, could one of you there email me at coreenesq@sbcglobal.net
the name/address of the hospital
where Carol is staying...
Renee, did you go outside this a.m.?...Wow what a Shock...its 60 here...cloudy & really fall like...but don't think it is going to last...
Georgia, thank you for this great news about Carol. We have been sending up prayers every day and night.
Georgia, also I am so grateful that you went to Carol's house to check on her. You saved her life.
Coreen and Renee, we are having a very unusual summer. We have had more high temps in 80's than 90's for the past 3 weeks. We have had good rainfalls too. We are still in a drought but not nearly as bad as a month ago.

hit return key too many times. Sorry.
Coreen...
now this is weather that brings a smile to my face :)
I know it's only suppose to last a couple days... but hey I'll take it. Have shut off the air conditioners and opened the windows... letting the air circulate throughout the house.
Jan... good news for your weather front... hope it lasts.
Rthanakz fod rhe prayers. I think my depression contributed to this. I was worried it would have a negative effect.
Good to see you here Carol...You are missed...
I did phone Carol a few minutes ago
and was relieved to speak with her...
Dawn thanks for giving me the info
& especially for you getting to Carol when you did...
Carol, so good to see you here. Prayers do work. You are greatly missed and loved.
I definitely believe in prayers
I'm moving to rehab today.
Thanks
Guy for
Everything. E
Carol!...
so nice and totally relieved to see you posting.
I will continue to pray for you and a speedy recovery... please take care.
Carol, so good to see you here. Is there rehab in the hospital or will you be moved to another location?
Jan, my doc found that I have a hyper coagulating disorder called anti phospholipid antibody syndrome. You may have heard of it becauce or can cause some women to miscarry freaquwnrly. I'll have to take meds to prevent. Lofting.

I'm in rehab. same hospital.
Carol, I looked this up and it is an auto immune disorder. Have you had any of the symptoms. Will they be treating you with an anticoagulant?
I have never heard of this. I have not been involved with maternity care for quite a few years.

Carol, so happy that you are doing good and able to send us messages from your phone.
Lots of trees down here. The wind gusts were up to 85 mph last night.
Carol is a lucky girl to have both of you.
Hope your recovery keeps going well.
I do think I needed a kick in rhej ass
From the universe I would have preferred something different.
Carol, so good to see the stroke did not take away your sense of humor.
Renee, hope your weather holds out for you at the fair. Best wishes for a successful time.
Carol, hope you are getting stronger each day...
Renee, good luck with the fair & hope the weather does hold...its been about 80 here & much less humid...all good things...
Carol, sending those healing Trail Mix vibes. Take care. -- Craig
Thanks Jan and Coreen. I have my fingers crossed.
Carol... I told the folks over on TrailMix about your stroke this morning. You are part of the TM family and I'm sure that Craig and everyone would want to know.
They are wishing you well over there.
Hello, Carol, Flatus here. I've read through the wonderful comments of the last several days. You certainly have some lovely, supportive friends!
Be good, help the staff by pressing the call button when you should, and know that we are all offering our best wishes for you!
Carol
I just heard, get well soon.
Jack
Carol, I just heard today that you are in the hospital (rehab now?) and can't tell you how sorry I am, but also relieved that you are healing and glad to see that you are thinking as clearly as ever.
I'm so glad you have Mary and Dawn there for you. If there is anything I can do, please contact me at the same ol' email: chloe@doubt.com.
I love you, Carol. I'll be checking in at the swamp daily hoping to hear how you're doing. Hope you're back to reading that Burke novel soon!
ps Is Maggie with Mary?
Sorry to hear you have been ill. Wishing you a swift recovery and all the best.
Hey Carol...
How ya doing? Hope they're feeding you.
Carol has her iphone & Dawn said if we want to call her. its ok...
Jan, Don't have your email address for some reason, thought I did, if you want to email me coreenesq@sbcglobal.net I will forward Dawn's note about Carol's progress...I think you have Carol's phone #, but if not I can
give it to you by email...
Dawn, please put me on your update list for Carol. My e-mail address is jwayland@salud.unm.edu
Thanks. I do get my e-mail on my phone.
Jan, got it, on its way to you...have a safe trip...
Dawn, can't say it enough, you are a fantastic friend...we should all be so fortunate to have someone
like you around...You & your mom are in my prayers...
p.s. I'm checking on your Braves, even though you know my heart is in NYC!!...your guys are looking real strong, mine not so much...
Jan...
have a great trip.
Dawn...
let me echo Coreen... you are a fantastic friend.
Please put me on your update list for Carol also. My email is weaver11@mac.com.
p.s. My Red Sox are looking good....
Mary,
If you're around... would love to hear how you're doing too. I know you must be under a tremendous amount of stress. Also how Maggie is doing.
How's your grandbaby?
Dawn, thank you for an update of what Carol will be needing. I remember her love of olives and lemon juice and the sunflower seeds. She put lemon juice on everything.
I got back from Austin today, actually the town she lives in is Buda - about 20 min south of Austin. We had a great visit. Her daughter and family left on Fri morning for Lake of the Ozarks so we had 2 great days together. We brought in food and watched several movies and talked, talked and talked. Very satisfying. She does not drive so I took a shuttle to and from her house. My leg held out during the trip.
Hmmm. I was visiting my sister. Forgot to say that.
Meant to put all names in here - Corinne & Renee too.
I check in here often to see you all.
I just talked with Carol on the phone. She is sounding so good. She is now back in her home (not camp on the river) and has sitters come in.
She said she can read what is on her blog but has difficulty typing on here.
I would like for us to keep up the Swamp for her until she is back here.
Hi Renee, Glad to hear you are doing well at your fair. Have a good rest when you get home. Look forward to hearing from you later.

Hi Carol. Good to see you here. Sorry you are having problems with your technology. But glad to see you can post something from your phone.
Carol....
nice to see you posting again.
Looks like it is a good morning all around...
Carol, glad to see that you are
back in action...keep getting stronger each day...

Carol, Great to see you on here and not to worry about your typing, just keep coming and writing to us.
We are in Yukon Oklahoma, home of Garth Brooks, if anyone follows country music.
We are taking granddaughter, Hunter, home to Arkansas.
Football season is upon us once more. John is so happy. It seems you all are happy too. I just simply endure it.

Maggie went to the DR last week, had her teeth cleaned, hai dut, manidure.
Hey Carol, I must have that esp
thing, since I do understand what you typed...or maybe we have all been hanging around together too long!...
Gloria, glad to know you are with Carol...How long are you staying...
Maggie is home, I think I recall that she likes Gloria too...so good to have both of them there...
Not much to report here, we did get to see John Edward last week in Stamford, about 600 people attended...he was very intense & deliberate when he was 'reading' someone...he is a big contrast to
Theresa Caputo...and no he did not
reach out to any of the people I was with, so I'm still a skeptic you know!!...but it was interesting to see him & again those he read seemed to believe so
what do I know...
Follow up to Renee's comments about
Paula Deen...
The agreement dismissing the case
attracted about 10 seconds of media
time, but then again it doesn't fit the narrative...
They set out to destroy her & they effectively did...
As for the 'agreement' while it says no costs or fees awarded, I am
reasonably sure that in all likelihood there was a money payout...outside the agreement to dismiss, after all the intent of filing a lawsuit was always to get paid...
Here's the ap story from a couple of days ago...& since then mums the word from the oh so honest media...
Most revealing is the comment by the plaintiff Lisa J...backpedaling on her claims that Deen was a racist...
Paula Deen lawsuit settled & dismissed
Coreen, thanks for posting the link to the article about P.Deen. I think the next time she talks to the public about issues such as this, she needs a speech writer - since the article reports her problems mainly stemmed from what she said in interviews.
Carol, I bet Maggie felt better after her trip to the doggie beauty shop.
++++++++
That's cool zboug gh dog Renee, ut remember the fommittment infolved
Carol, About that commitment when get a pet/dog. I did not want another dog after our Lobie died (our dog/coyote) mix. Ryley was my sister' - and her late husband's - dog. My sis had to give her up and she would have given Ryley to her son. Her son is gone from his home most of the time and Ryley would have been home alone in a crate - since she is not completely house broken. So I took her. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I did. I have never had a little dog before and she is such a little love bug. I find that she reduces a lot of stress for me. She curls up next to me or sits in my lap and I love that.
Renee, I recommend a little dog.
Renee, so true about dogs and traveling. So many places you cannot take a dog. We have curtailed our travel significantly since bringing Ryley home.
Jan.... thanks for being honest with me.
I think I just talked myself out of that dog.
Yep Renee. I think you did. Good for you. So much better to figure out before you take the dog.
Sorry to hear about your handwoven housewares line. I only buy cottons for quilts and cotton has gone up so much in recent years.
Jan...
there's nothing sorry about it.
Hi. Going to a wills And trust seminar today. Yesterday got my hair cut, manicure and pedicure. Nice pampering for the day. Mary cooked us lunch.
A lot of work and many times no thanks from relatives.... just gimme mine thank you very much.
i recently recieved a jury summons. necver coul before because iof jobs. Sis wrote tgo hem that I had a sfroke. rhey relieced me.
Carol, I am so happy to see you here. I check in several times a day hoping you will write something.
Sdminar was boring. somehow, I don'
care what happens to my stuff after I'm dead.
Renee, did TGeow earn a spotg on your roster? What do you hear?
Enjoyed anotjera good lunch. Been eating out. Place I've wanted to eat at. I haven't done any cooking. . Feel bad bout that.
Carol, Eating out always puts weight on me. Hope it does same for you.
Carol...
don't feel guilty, girl... you deserve to have a little fun.
Carol, should have added to last comment I made - that you can use the extra weight. Sadly I don't need it. LOL.
Agree with Renee. Enjoy eating out.
Guess I need to start watching sports so I can talk to you guys.
