Memory Lane
Just sitting around watching the snow melting and running down the front porch and looking at pictures. I am on a FB site that is from my home town and people are posting great pictures. I thought I would put up some up here that have special meaning for me. Another trip back in time or down memory lane. I seem to take these often. I will be looking forward to some Easter pictures in a few days.

Picture # 1: Belvedere Mansion, across street from old Claremore HS. Some of our teachers lived in this bldg when I was in HS. It was a boarding house then. Now it is a B & B.
Pic # 2: Aerial view of Oklahoma Military Academy - Now it is Claremore State University. When I was in HS, my sis and I went to many formal dances at OMA. Good times.
Pic # 3: Aeriel view of a parade in downtown Claremore.
Pic #4: Claremore HS. They are tearing it down now as I write this. The 3 story bldg in the middle without the one story part surrounding it is where I went to HS. It was a grand old bldg.
Pic # 5: was the Claremore library - now the Historical Society bldg. I read many books in this little library as a child and teenage. It is "kitty-cornered" across the street from the HS and behind the Belvedere Mansion.
Pic # 6: Will Rogers Hotel. My mother had a beauty shop here when I was in HS. It is still standing.
Carol, I will check out the DWTS thing you talked about.
Although I have taken pics of each of these bldgs, I took none of these. Three are from postcards and 3 are pics that others have posted. I got all from FB - from the site called "If you are from old claremore.... It is a fun site as there are over 1200 friends on it and of all different ages. Carol, you should start one for McNeese.
Well, I have had enough fun for the day. I have to go do some work.
Those are some cool pics Jan. I have to open up a second tab so I can go back and forth to see the pics and then read the explanations.
Did ya get some pics of your snow this morning. You can make your post eclectic.
Jan..I have enough places that I want to keep up with. I don't want anymore.
I came home for lunch but instead of eating..I went outside to prune brushes. When I told ya I was having fun working outside..I wasn't just whistling Dixie.
I have to go meet my financial adviser this afternoon.. to put the max into my IRA. I'm cutting it close to the deadline for a tax deduction for last year. I don't have many deductions anymore. My cow business used to be a good write off until it started to make money.
I was turning over all my cow money to SF. He needed it more than I did and since I couldn't participate in any of the work anymore..I didn't feel like I should make the money.
Catch y'all later.
Enjoyed seeing these pics of your hometown?...would that be Claremore
OK...remember I don't know for sure
where you guys started out.
They reminded me of places around here...the library, I too remember
going to there & getting Nancy Drew
mysteries...The main Bpt. library
still functions, not sure about the
branch in the north end of town where we walked to thoough...
Believe it or not my high school is now Bpt. City Hall...
I think I mentioned Bpt. was big
on parades for 4th of July...
in conjunction with the fact that
p.t. barnum settled around here...
Rut rho..heard it on ET and now read it on the Pure D site that rumor has it that Jaleel had a dust up with his partner and almost came to fist city with Mark Ballas when he came to her defense. He had to be banned from the rehearsal studio on Friday.
Jan..you mentioned that he was accused by a girlfriend of being abusive. That's why this other info caught my attention. It's sometimes the innocent looking guys who are the bruts.
If that is true..I hope he gets the boot.
You can read about this on Pure DWTS:
http://www.puredwts.com/2012/04/02/producers-had-to-ban-jaleel-white-from-the-dancing-with-the-stars-rehearsal-studios/
Maggie is doing living room aerobics. She sometimes gets so excited that she tears around in circles. I have to stay clear or she could knock me over. Well..maybe not but she's moving at a high rate of speed. I wish I could join her.
I was all excited thinking that I only had a three day week this week but then found out this afternoon that my 4 days off starts Friday and goes thru Monday. Well...at least I'll have two shorter weeks.
Coreen, all the pics are from Claremore OK. my 2nd hometown. My 1st hometown is Owasso OK. I graduated from Claremore, OK but spent more of my growing up years in Owasso.
Carol, sorry you are not getting your 4 day weekend. That is a bummer.
I have some concerns about Jaleel. It will be interesting. If he mistreated Kim, I would like to see him go.
Jan..I still get my 4 day weekend but it doesn't start until Friday instead of Thursday and I get Monday also.
Sis got all my paperwork organized..more organized than she has her own..according to her.
I was just going thru all the mail I got this week to continue to keep things in order. Because of that I missed what happened on DWTS. Someone will need to explain what happened with the judges saving Sheri. What was that all about?
Not sure what to think of the alleged Jaleel White meltdown...
there was an incident, the extent
& severity unknown...would hope that there is no lasting effects with his partner, whatever happened...she does not deserve to
be mistreated in any manner...would hope that if in fact
he did something offensive, the producers would get him off the show asap...no way of knowing if the reporting is overblown or not...
as for the 2 year old allegations by his x-girlfriend, mother of his
child...again no way of knowing if
it really happened or not...
Well..I hate to see him go. I don't think he was the worst. I still don't understand what happened with Sheri.
I'm talking about who was bumped off tonight. Not Jaleel.
Not terribly disappointed that Sheri didn't get cut...but not surprised I guess, she probably has a bigger fan base from the view watchers...
Jack Wagner hasn't been around in awhile...I remember him as Frisco
Jones on General Hospital & I know
he had another popular show but don't know what it was & I think
he is/was involved with Heather Locklear who recently had some sort of personal problems...
I received a 2012 Congressional District Census from the Republican Party. Says I'm one of the few being mailed this census in my district. Hmmm. And says it's because of my high level of political involvement. Hmmm.
Who's watching me?? Who knows what my level of involvement is??
I'm a registered Dem. I never got around to changing my party affiliation because of the flood. Remember..I was going to change to vote for My Buddy. Don't need to now since he's now running Independent.
The question on Political profile doesn't even list Dem as an option to check. It does have "other".
Think I should fill it out? They might mark me for elimination as a mutant in my community.
My pod may be waiting for me.
Don't send the white jacket folks for me Coreen.
At first I thought you meant Jaleel in the white suit...
Just drop it in the round file...
aren't they really looking for a donation somewhere in it...
I get solicitations from everyone...once you buy anything,
those mailing lists get handed around (well sold around) to anybody...
how are we to know that you are not already one of the pod people!!!...that was a good movie
the original b/w...
Maybe all I had to do was mention it out loud that I was thinking about changing my party affiliation and they changed it.
The survey says my individual responses will only be shared with the Republican Presidential Nominee..congressional leaders and candidates.
Oh..and when I'm finish answering the survey..I'm to return it with my "generous contribution".
Yep...I looked again and it does have MY name on the survey.
Dang it. And I thought someone wanted to have my input. I guess they just remove the money and chunk the survey answers. Are Republicans that stupid? Yep..I think they are.
It's now confetti.
I know I'm not a pod person because I'm too irritating Coreen. Pod people aren't irritating.
No one has still explained why the judges had to save Sheri????
what judges saved sheri...didn't she just get more votes than wagner...
i wasn't watching it until the last couple of minutes...
Coreen..they said the judges were going to save someone and then opened an envelope and it was Sheri. I wasn't really watching..just saw that. I called Tomato Woman and she wasn't watching at the time so she did a rewind on her DVR and saw it also. Sheri was crying. Did you miss that? It was before they even got to who was voted off.
Maybe Jan caught it.
I was reading on Pure DWTS and they said that the show is going to change how they vote someone off. It said that the judges would now decide between the two with the lowest scores. The writers weren't too happy about it.
I guess we were a real attentive audience tonight.
When do your boys start playing again?
Friday 3 p.m. at Tampa Bay...
Home opener at the Stadium is next Friday April 13th...oh nice!!...
see you later...
I'm telling ya folks..2012 is going to be the year for life lessons. So pay attention. Ya don't want to have to repeat these classes more than once. OK.
I told y'all that last summer..while mowing..I was listening to C2C. George et al. had some people who spoke for some of the past famous psychics/see-ers. They were talking about that 2012 stuff. They said it wasn't going to be the end of the world but we were in for some tough lessons.
We would be placed in situations that would require that we pull together as a community. Karma will have a faster turn around.
I've been seeing things like that happening..on a large scale and on a smaller scale. We can either decide we need to pull together as a community on our own..or we can wait until we are forced to do it.
Just keep your eyes peeled. Evil will not be in for a good time. And it's about time. You politicians listening??? No..I don't think they worry about consequences. That's obvious.
Coreen..you never answered me about that relief pitcher of your who shattered his ankle on that tampoline. How's he doing?
We must have had one heck of a storm before I woke up this morning. I didn't hear a thing. I musta been in a coma. When I went to sleep they were talking about it. I left my TV on..I always do. I looked at my radar this morning and the really rough stuff had recently passed over.
It's that nasty storm that left tornadoes in Dallas.
Coreen..we'll know where to find you come Friday..sitting in front of the tube spitting sunflower seeds.
Carol, I was not aware of the producers saving Shari. I am with Coreen - I think she got enough votes. I watched all of it and did not catch what you are talking about.
Frankly, there was just too much crying on this week's DWTS. I don't think it was all real. Cannot really say whose crying was real or not real. At the end it just seemed a little much for me. Maybe some thought that crying would keep them on another week. I say to all of them - just dance - dammit.
BTW - when I put up this new post - I noticed that there are changes to the page for posting. For one thing I was able to put up more pics. Before, I could only put up 5 pics. You two have always put up more pics but with my limited tech ability - 5 was all it would let me do.
Ok, so Wendy Williams is on her show talking about the DWTS Jaleel
White drama...
Her take, the show wants all the drama...to keep it going...
She says that the hostess Brooke?
(after all this time you would think I would know her name, but I don't)is really not nice...actually
mean off camera...
She showed a clip of Jaleel's crying jag & noted look at Brooke..
she's rolling her eyes...
Also said they follow the celebs around with cameras everywhere...& the more drama picked up the better....
So who knows what the extent of the so-called blowup really was...
Carol, not really much to say about Joba...he's out til who knows...will he ever return as a yankee pitcher...no way of knowing...
The other injury that creates
issues...the pitcher they got from
Seattle Michael Pineda, he came up
with shoulder tendinitis...he was
to be the 2nd starter...no idea
how long he will be out...meantime
they will have cc, Kuroda a Japanese pitcher?, Phil Hughes, Ivan Nova
& Freddy Garcia & maybe Andy will
be up to speed shortly...
Will have to wait & see how it all plays out...meantime as of friday it's time to 'play ball'!!!....
So Jan..you tired of all that whinny ass shit? I agree..it gets old. It's likely a form of manipulation and we don't want to be manipulated..everywhere..all the time.
I promise..something did happen where Sheri was saved by the judges. I just half ass heard it so I called
TM.. and she backed up her show to see it. Pure D did point out that those on the bottom aren't always those who got the least votes. Sheri may have gotten some of the least votes or the judges may have worried that she might have and saved her as a precaution.
It happened before they put up the one who lost.
Coreen..you know that I've adopted your boys so I need to keep up. I can't watch them often so you'll have to do a play by play every now and again.
Coreen..I'm aware of the hype on DWTS but don't think it would be a very good idea to play up stuff that involves really bad behavior and could cause some damage to someone's reputation. I hope they have more class than that. Maybe not.
I just rewatched parts of DWTS and it was there. They said that it was a first. It's right past the middle of that hour if you have it recorded. She standing with the football player and Gilbert.
If you're wondering..I'm on my lunch break and I decided that I AM going to take a vac day tomorrow to go with my holiday days. There's more than one way to skin a cat. Sorry kitties..it's just a figure of speech.
Just finished reading about what Olbermann told Letterman about his getting fired at Current.
He likened his going to Current to having a 10 million chandelier with no house to put it in. Yep..like I said..delusions of grandeur.
He said it was his mistake for going to Current. Anyone..with half a brain.. should have realized that a new network would have to operate on a shoestring and if they were paying Olbermann 10 mill then they were operating with no shoestrings. Look at Oprah's new network. She's struggling.
The O man needs to go back to sports but I read that he wasn't that popular at those networks. It seems his head is too big for any room. I mean..his chandelier.
Michelle Obama will be on Colbert on April 11. No matter how aggravated I get at Pres Barry..I still love Michelle.
Keith Olbermann & I suspect the majority of 'celebs' of all media
seem self-absorbed & insecure
individuals...
Don Imus, who I listen to regularly
seems to be as insecure, self-absorbed as you can get...when he goes on vacation or takes off for
lately going to rodeos with his son
...on his radio show there is no
substitute host doing a show, but
rather the host in NY is
Mark Simone who is interesting in his own right (he has a Saturday talk show on abc) fills in the time with the 'best of imus' clips...
Yes Coreen..those who seem to have the biggest egos are usually the most insecure.
I emailed Keith several times to say I agreed with his special comments. Probably millions of other did also. I noticed a change in his arrogance level after that. But I'm sure he still felt a little insecure. We all do.
It's that fraud syndrome. That's what I call it. We all feel like we are frauds..to some extent.. and one day someone will find out. I heard other movie stars say that. We all know we are just simple human beings..no better than anyone else. Some of us just had better life circumstances. Thank you God for mine.
I see good in all the peeps I work with. In some.. it's easy to see and in others I have to look long and hard...but I find it. And I find that I can learn something from everyone. And I like to learn.
My young pool man..who just recently got out of jail..said that we..who work at the jail..are also incarcerated. I am in jail too.
We are locked in. We have to wait behind locked doors for someone to open them. And some of those who operate those doors love to make us wait and wait and wait. I think they enjoy the power it gives them.
I found what he said to be so profound. And I realized that I've been serving a 7 dang year sentence!
Out of the mouth of babes...
Well..all the rain has brought out those pesky mosquitoes. They ran me out of my yard. The spray does work but I hate to put it on. Mosquito patrol does come by often..more often on the river..to spray. It does help.
Are you guys ready for some singing now?
I have this older huge projection type TV here. It was HDMI ready and the air antenna is a HDMI antenna. The pic was great when I left the house but now it's crap.
I often came in when roomy was here but not home and she had left the TV on with a fixed pattern on the screen. I don't know if that is what did it. I have screwed with it and made it a little better but it's still not up to what I had or what I want. I may have to get a new flat screen TV.
There was good and bad about my roomy experience. It forced me to lighten the load around here. That was good. She did leave a mess and I've worked thru most of it.
There were also times when I came here that the AC was set on 60. It was almost icy in here. Sometimes it was when she wasn't even going to be here overnight. I kept telling her to turn it up some when she left. She ignored me. I would turn it up. She couldn't afford rent but she didn't care that she was running up an electric bill and wearing out my unit. I'm glad that didn't last too long.
I guess no good deed will go unpunished.
You do remember that she lived here for free? I was hoping she would take care of the place.
a new flat screen tv...I say go for it...
You guess??!!...without a doubt..that's what you get for being one of the good guys...by the way where did she wind up...
here when mosquitos come out it most problematic early a.m. & evening/dusk...not time yet though...
you guys are on your own with idol...
Aww Coreen, we will miss you at Idol.
That saying about "No good deed goes unpunished" Is so true. It has happened to me too.
So Carol, How long are you going to stay at your house?
One thing I do not miss here are mosquitos. One of the lovliest things about living here is that we can sit out at night and there are no mosquitos and seldom any flies.
We still have other bugs but not as many as humid climates. We get ants on the sidewalk in summer.
All the scuttle butt makes DWTS more interesting.
I wonder if that is fair if DWTS did do a "save" for Shari.
It's likely that Sheri was who was going to get the boot but with the judges saving her..the next lowest got the boot. I betcha.
She's also an ABC star.
I love that Foreigner song that Elise is doing..."I want to know what love is."
It was one of my all time favs. I remember when I first heard it. It moved me and I also wanted to know what love was.
I told a friend that I just heard this SLOW song that Foreigner put out. They said that Foreigner doesn't do slow songs..they do hard rock. They were wrong.
I agree with what's his name..that Elise did start off a little off pitch but she did well. She takes on some super challenges. It's not smart to do some of the super hits. No one can compete with the original artist.
Jan..I sure wish we could watch together. Anyone else home??
Too bad some of those music buffs from TM won't come play with us.
I don't think Philip is doing justice to his selection either. Sounds off pitch.
The judges are easier on Philip.
One thing I do know..that is pitch.
Mary just called and she agreed with me about Philip. Both of us thought it was kinda awful. We both liked Elise better.
The first duet..the guy..ehh.. but the girl kicked it.
The second duet..good.
I just realized that 80s music was my fav.
I can tell the judges are very biased. What's new?
They all have great voices but tonight they may have been off on their song selection for their voices.
Great song for Joshua. Seemed to have a few timing problems.
How will I know..
I liked Jessica doing it. There were a couple of screechy places.
Now I am being super critical here but I am judging.
I want you to know that I think they are all great.
The Philip/Elise duet hurt my ears. Not a great choice.
I'm channeling Simon tonight.
I like Holly..again it started slow and a little pitchy in the beginning. Also timing. They may be doing this timing thing on purpose.
I think they will all be music stars someday.
I like them all but I'm gonna give all my votes to my homey..Joshua.
The duet with Joshua and Jessica was very good.
They both looked like pros.
This season is tops. I don't know how they will ever top it.
I missed the beginning of Colton's song. I loved the choruses.
The biggest problem is that these are great songs and it's hard to compete with the original artists.
Tomato Woman called to tell me she was having a bad lightning storm. I looked on the radar and she had this one little red cloud over her. She usually gets the storms about 20 minutes before I do.
Maggie usually knows about 20 minutes before a storm hits and she heads for cover. She was just laying here.. showing not a care in the world.
Maggie was right again. The storm pooped out before it got here. She's better than radar.
Skylar did very well. Another great song.
Little Skylar has the whole package. She will be a successful entertainer. IMHO.
That voting is a pain. I had to do it thru Facebook. I used to be able to do it another way. For every vote ya have to do one of those enter the letters/numbers you see thing. I HATE that.
I just got an email from a friend that was so funny that I almost peed the couch and might have broken a rib laughing.
I forwarded it to you guys. My endorphins are flowing now.
I don't even open most stuff people forward to me. This one is called.."The Latest Crop of Wal-Martians....Where Do They Breed And Who Lets Them?" That caught my attention. You need to see it. Most of what you see in these pics are very familiar sights in my Walmart.
Carol, we taped it so we can zap through commercials. I too wish we could watch together. Bummer. I loved Joshua's song. That is one of my favs. He really sends me. His voice is magic to me. I liked Elise too and thought the judges were too hard on her. I am going to vote for Joshua and Elise.
Jessica just sang and she was great. I have never heard her do better than great.
I liked 70's and 80's music. I think 70's was my fav.
Carol, just saw what you had sent on e-mail. Left you a message.
I liked what little Hollie did. I thought the judges were too hard on her.
Carol, no doubt - Jessica and Joshua's duet was great. They are the 2 to beat.
They are all great singers. I think even when they sounded a little pitchy it was because their timing was off with the music.. just a split second. That's due to nerves and inexperience.
yep.
I did my voting. I too hate copying those digits. But I do like voting that way better than on the phone.
I think the finalists will be Phillip, Joshua, Jessica
I'm sorry Jan but I did find those pics funny. You have to admit that that obese lady taking off her flip flop to weigh was a little humorous. What could they have added to her weight..a half ounce?
Did you know that you can vote 50 times? I might have done about half that before I was worn out. All for my homey..Joshua.
Only someone who has been thin all her life can laugh at those sad, sad women. LOL
I know I can vote 50 times but I did my duty by voting 10 times. I just cannot sit here and vote 50 times. Joshua is my favorite. I think he is adorable too. Oddly enough the guys are my favorites this season. I think Joshua and Phillip are so natural. Sorry girls.
You are so right Carol. They are all so talented this season.
I gotta go to bed. I am beat. I am reading the 1st book in "The Hunger Games" It is pretty interesting. Everyone around here is reading the 3 books. I want to see the movie this weekend so I have to get the book read.
Nighty nite.
People laugh at thin people also. For years I got grossed out passing in front of a mirror. I looked like a poster child for anorexia. Don't have that problem anymore. I'm now considered overweight. I really prefer that. Of course..not to the level of those peeps in the pics. If they were ashamed of their bodies..they wouldn't have their asses hanging out of those short shorts.
And Jan..being of Polish decent and a blond..at one time..I've been the butt of lots of jokes..but I hope none of those butts. LOL.
And believing in karma as I do..I do worry that I might be in for some fat time..if not in this life..in my next. I do have a stash of unused thyroid hormones in my med cabinet..if necessary.
Jan..if I would have seen those people while shopping at Walmart..I wouldn't have found them funny. But if I would have seen those captions under them..and they couldn't see me..I probably would have found the situation funny. Actually..I do see those people every time I shop at Walmart.
And you must remember that I was the one who got tickled when we were about to slide to our death on that ski mountain. It's an affiction. I can't help it.
Carol, we all have our way of reacting to situations. I just could not laugh at the women. I am not that fat - though I am overweight - and if anything I overdress. I show little skin any more when I go out. I wear long dresses or pants and would die before showing my middriff. I wear turtlenecks all winter and would in the summer but they are too hot. I guess I just feel sorry for the women. I suppose they don't have any insight into how they look.
Jan..I've always been self-conscious about how I look. I like turtle necks also. I hate my chicken neck. But..I'm getting better now that I'm older. I don't care anymore.
Unfortunately my reaction was to cringe at the walmartians...
My thought was, (Carol not sure you will like this...but) they get to vote too...
What is sad is that there is an abundance of overweight americans...& no amount of govt
pushing will change that in the forseeable future...
B
As one who was called 'twiggy' oh
so long ago...who never weighed more than 100# until the aging process commenced...I consider myself to be overweight by about
15# all of it in my torso...
Likewise as to showing less skin these days...not sure about fat for me, more so because the skin
ages & no amount of lotions, vitamins, whatever can stop the wrinkling process...only a full body surgical zip up...& since you
already know my discomfort with
physicians, that is not about to happen...
I would love to try those products
restylin? even botox, but I am too
much of a chicken to even consult...
My biggest complaint is tight clothes....now I know why someone
invented those jeans/pants with elastic backs...what a great idea!!!
I do not wear turtlenecks, hate the feeling of it choking me...live in pants, no shorts for
me, just pedal pushers...& to think
I was one of the bikini(not the string/thong type) wearing
girls with the big straw hat...& just loved sitting in the sun at the beach...no swimming though!!!
I rarely ever sat in the sun for a tan. I watched my father die a long very horrible death from skin cancer. He was a red head. I wasn't that sensitive to the sun. I was out in it a lot because I liked outdoor activities but I only got a little tan when everyone else was burning.
I hate what aging does to the skin. I have dark spots and white spots and every other kind of spot. I get these young AA males who come to me complaining of a little zit and I look down at my arms and tell them just to be glad they don't look like me.
I think I only wore a two piece swim suit when I was 16.
I won't consider any plastics either. It's just not important. I yam who I yam. And I still take off my makeup the next morning when I shower. No beauty treatments.
Now if I lived in a very dry climate..I might use moisturizer.
If you noticed..I did take a vac day today. It looks like yard work is out of the question today since it rained off and on for the last two days. I can do some trimming though.
The grass at my camp is getting high so that's on my schedule. I just mowed here on Saturday and it already needs it again. Just the landscaping for my two places could be a full time job. And then there's my day job and my CEO of a farm corp. I'm fairly sure my thyroid has.. again.. gone into overdrive. And I won't mess with it. I need it that way.
And this fat ass is taking it to Walmart again today. But it will be well covered. No captions under my pic. And lots of lettuce..lots of broccoli.
Hey..the women in those pics were very comfortable with how they looked. If they weren't..they wouldn't have been flaunting it. And there are a significant number of men who like their women with extra meat on the bones..more to love. And they are probably good cooks.
My boyfriend..when I was 22..told me I was too thin. I told him that it wasn't my plan...that is..after I told him off. He was one of those..duh..football player types. Do you remember Herb Jan? Dummy.
One day I was playing around with him..trying to see if I could take him down. Don't particularly remember why. I had both of my arms and legs..I was flexible..wrapped around his neck and I couldn't even get him to sway. I think that maybe I was trying to see if I could protect myself. I then learned that I had better use my running skills..if I needed protection.
Now a days the only option I have left is.."stand my ground"..and pray.
It doesn't hurt that most of the criminals in town know me and need me.
Coreen..turtle necks also give me neck claustrophobia. But my chicken-neck-o-phobia is more severe.
A friend gave me a book by Nora Ephron titled.."I feel bad about my neck". It's cute. I seem to remember Nora writing that they can't do neck lifts??
That's when it helps to have a little extra meat on the bones. The more meat..the less wrinkles.
And I've read articles that say that people need to go into old age with a little extra weight. What y'all think?
I went back again and looked at the pics in that email that was forwarded to me. It's more the choices of outfits those women made that were made fun of. Most of those women could have been fine with a better choice of outfits.
You can't help but attract negative attention if you stuff your huge boobs into some stretchy pants and call that a one-piece outfit.
Even if you're poor..Walmart does have a nice cheap selection of clothing. It makes up a good bit of my wardrobe. Also.. getting my clothes at Walmart is convenient. Their clothes.. at my store.. is right next to food and I can snag something on my way from frozen food items to soda pop.
Carol, you are one of few people I know that looks good in something from Walmart. On the other hand I found a great jean skirt at a thrift store that was from Walmart - so will eat my words. It is my favorite thing to wear.
I think people as they get older look better in the face with a little meat on their bones.
If I don't wear turtle necks in winter, my neck gets cold.
Have you noticed that our star map has been lite up like a Christmas tree lately. I keep a tab with that map up and if I leave it up for a little while..I come back to look at it and it's flashing with stars all over the US and abroad.
We had 698 page views today so far. That's on one of the stats pages I have.
Coreen..its the pics you put up for Easter 2010 that are bringing people here.
Working on some Easter pics...
Why would you think that a 2 year
old post would be some kind of draw now...
I've been listening to the Idol performances again and they are all soooo good. I don't want to see any of them leave but I know they all will have a career.
I guess they find us when they Google certain subjects and Easter's hot right now.
I'm working on my dinner for tonight. I'm gonna have chicken tacos...my style.
I'm baking some chicken strips in can't believe it's not butter..lemon juice and Tony's Creole seasoning. I made some guacamole with lemon and Tony's...very spicy. There will be spicy on the bottom and spicy on the top. That will make up for not so spicy in the middle..organic baby spring greens..grape tomatoes..a little taco sauce and some pepper jack cheese. It will be more like a big taco salad and I'll put it all over some tortilla chips.
It's not called southern spicy here for no reason.
All I'll have to do later is throw them together. And spice out..
My Easter post is ready & posted...
