John Legend "All of Me" -- ... favorite song and favorite granddaughter!
'What would I do without your smart mouth?
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
You've got my head spinning, no kidding, I can't pin you down
What's going on in that beautiful mind
I'm on your magical mystery ride
And I'm so dizzy, don't know what hit me, but I'll be alright...'

Sharing Carol!
Was finally able to download some pics from Carol's Facebook page (discovered I had a program installed that was blocking me from posting... disabled it).
Greta contributed a picture of 'Carol with a good friend's father' to Carol's Facebook page with a very touching tribute: "Your wonderful Daddy was always a very good friend to me and Carol, and we enjoyed his company immensely. And we treasure the wisdom he shared with us & the time we spent together. We love and miss him."
Including the two pics she had posted of her beautiful river also.

This is for Carol --New baby
People say that things happen for a reason and I truly believe that. I
know a family very well that resides on a navajo Indian reservation in
Many farms Arizona. They have a teenage daughter whom I know was
expecting a baby this month on the 7 th. This young girl was not only a
high school student but she also had a one year old son. My intent was
to resign from my job in Louisiana and relocate to Texas. I left Texas
to drive to Phoenix Arizona to pick up my little dog Roxie. As I drove I
kept thinking about the little guy who would soon enter this world.
When I reached my destination... I stayed and visited for a few
days...within those few days, I got an apartment, and applied for the
Sheriff's department here...I am on my way to becoming one of Arizona's
finest...lol as I settled, I received a phone call 3 days before the
baby was to be born...I kept talking to my friend Carol and a few other
close friends telling myself all the while that this felt right...when
the baby came...they sent me pics and of course...I fell in love! He was
breeched and 5 lbs 2 ozs...I then arranged to meet them in Flagstaff
Arizona. By then he was 5 days old...when they put him in my arms, I
knew then that he would be my son...he's perfect, doesnt hardly cry and
is very attentive to his surroundings. The parents then arranged
expidiciously the signing of their daughter willingly relinquishing all
parental rights and making me the sole parent of this beautiful baby
boy. That day was yesterday at 12:00 noon Christian Mateo' is officially
my son...! As he grows to understand...I will continue to let him know
his birth mother and big brother and that god sent him to me to love and
nurture him. I never thought I would ever have someone as precious as
he is..someday soon will be calling me mommy! So this is the story of
how in that short time between June and August I made the biggest
decisions in my life and would not change anything...I have a son...!

Carol and Jan in Colorado
We just returned from our reunion in Durango. It was wonderful to spend time with Carol and her friends from LA, Greta, Karen & Shay. John is enchanted with Carol. She told some stories of her NP experiences and I think he almost peed himself from laughing. Carol and I had a lovely day on the train. Carol may tell it differently. I will let her tell her side. Here are some pictures.

Daydreaming today...
I am sitting here daydreaming or pondering lots of stuff. I took some pictures earlier on a walk around my neighborhood of some hollyhocks and a pretty flowering tree under which the hollyhocks were growing. I took John back with me later so he could see them too. I downloaded them to my computer and found 3 more pictures I want to share. One is of me and my sister when we were teenagers, singing for a local OK radio station. Another 2 pictures are of John's daughter and 2 granddaughters about 15 years ago. Finally, the last is of 2 of my great grandchildren, Abigail and Dominic. I just think the children and little people
are so cute.
are so cute.

Blood Concepts... Infusions of young blood may reverse effects of ageing... studies suggest
Giving old mice young blood reversed age-related declines in brain function, muscle strength and stamina... researchers say
Researchers in the US are closing in on a therapy that could reverse harmful ageing processes in the brain, muscles, heart and other organs. Hopes have been raised by three separate reports released by major journals on Sunday that demonstrate in experiments on mice the dramatic rejuvenating effects of chemicals found naturally in young blood.
Infusions of young blood reversed age-related declines in memory and learning, brain function, muscle strength and stamina, researchers found. In two of the reports, scientists identified a single chemical in blood that appears to reverse some of the damage caused by ageing.
Doug Melton, a stem cell scientist at Harvard, said: "This should give us all hope for a healthier future. We all wonder why we were stronger and mentally more agile when young. There seems to be little question that, at least in animals, GDF11 has an amazing capacity to restore ageing muscle and brain function.
