Beautiful pictures Carol. The only one I recognize is the gardenias in the last one. They look so real, I can almost smell them. We had 2 big gardenia bushes in LR and I loved it when they were in season. I am so envious.
Just got in from outside. A neighbor I haven't seen in quite a while came over to visit. We were enjoying to spring weather. I am recording DWTS so now I'm gonna catch up.
Coreen, you're never sick or if you are, you never mention it. Hope you get to feeling better. Maybe the pollen is just getting to you.
Sorry to hear you are ill Coreen. Try a nice cup of tea with honey. Carol, I know you don't care for honey but I have heard it has anti-bacterial properties. I alternate taking tylenol and ibuprofen and it relieves some congestion and helps get some rest. John says this helps him when I say "Poor Sweet Baby." So for you "Poor Sweet Baby." Get better soon.
I still think the judges are full of it when it comes to Hines. I wasn't at all impressed tonight with his dancing. I guess I'm one of the few that isn't under his charm.
The judges are full of S*** when it comes to Hines. He was not doing that well in the instant dance, and the judges are way off base. Bruno was the only one who was close to getting it right.
Had an interesting experience this morning. Right in the middle of my morning medical call one of the maintanance men came in with a drill attached to his hand.
An inmate assistant was drilling something and the drill slipped and the drill bit went thru his finger.
He had on gloves and the drill bit went thru the glove, then thru his index finger, out the other side and twisted into his glove. The drill was still attached to the bit.
We couldn't get the bit off the drill because you had to use the battery and reverse it and couldn't do that with the bit thru his finger.
I had to cut the glove off to see what was going on inside. After I had the glove all cut around both ends of the bit, I unwound it from the bit and we could then ease the bit our of his finger. We wrapped the finger up and sent him to the hospital for xray and treatment.
I was telling a friend about what happened today and she said...stop, I'm getting little shocks down my back.
Something similar happens to me when I come up to a auto wreck and have to go check to see if anyone needs my help. When I don't know what I might run into, I get this shocking sensation in my thighs. An electrical sensation. My friend said hers goes down her back.
I was wondering if anyone else has a similar sensation when seeing or hearing about something kinda gross?
Coreen, I hope you get to feeling better. I recommend that honey that Jan mentioned, a dash of lemon juice and an ounce of Wild Turkey. The latter might knock out that sore throat.
Rats, I started to say petunias on the 2nd pic. I could not remember the word 'Caladium" I remember lots of those in LA. I totally missed the grape toms. I thought they were peppers of some kind. I too wish you do a scratch and sniff on the gardenias. I also love the color of gardenias. The color reminds me of the color of a wedding gown.
Just heard that Maria and Arnold are splitting the sheets. Hmmm. Well, since he can't run for President, he may not need a political wife any longer. Never could see what she saw in him anyway.
Hi guys...thanks for your good thoughts...this morning I feel better than yesterday...
Yes, Carol, I rarely get a cold thankfully...It will now have to play out its course...someone once told me, it takes 3 days to get a cold, 3 days with it & 3 days for it to go away...so I guess each day will get a little better...
I did have DWTS on last night, but I think I was dozing in & out...
It will be sad whoever has to leave tonight... I like all of them just about equally...but yes, I am a Hines fan (even though he plays for the Steelers who ousted the Jets from the playoffs)...
Coreen, are you staying home or having to go to work? Sometimes our bodies do this on purpose cuz we need a break. Unfortunately our bodies don't realize we can't always take that break.
I think when I fell down the stairs my body was telling me I needed a vacation. That week in the hospital, in horrendous pain, wasn't exactly a vacation. I got a break alright, I broke three vertebrae. After my miserable hospital break I had to crawl back to work.
Just saw where Donny Osmand predicted it would be Romeo to go this week. I certainly hope not and that's why I gave him all but one of my votes last night.
Donny thinks that Kirsty and Hines are safe because of their fan base. He thinks that Chelsae is the best so she's safe. He thinks that maybe Ralph will get a sympathy vote so that would leave Romeo in jeoparty.
That's very possible with the skewed scores from the judges. It's hard to get enough votes to overcome those judges scores.
I understand Coreen. Hope you can wake up later to catch the results.
Looking at Ralph's scores from last night, it might be tough for him to get enough of a sympathy vote to survive. The judges were a little tough on him also.
I should have known that my favorite would be out. After purusing the Net I was worried that would happen. It's never about who has the talent and skills in life. It's who is popular.
Heard on the news this morning that the total cost of this horrendous flood could end up being 4 billion dollars. Sounds awful?? We spend 10 billion a month on the wars. Kinda gives you a perspective on how much we are wasting on these wars. I know where we can find some money to take care of our country's problems.
Listening to my folk music from the 60s, I'm remembering just how much of it was antiwar. The young people, us, back then were reminded everyday about how senseless the war was. Now we barely know that wars are going on unless we watch the news and it's not even covered there very often anymore.
Which brings me to my next ponder.....I think I will be seriously supporting Obama this go round. If he took out Binny, maybe he and his gang are moving in the right direction.
I feel that presidents are just figure heads, not the real power. This is especially true during their first term when they are very dependent on big money to get re-elected to their second term. Can't do much. But for the second term, they can do more of what they really want to do. Can't run for a third term and don't have to kiss anyone's ass anymore. Can't be really sure of that but it's the only hope we have.
Carol, good...now that you have made your voting decision, you won't have to watch/listen to any of the nonsense that will soon be everywhere...what we only have like 18 months til its time to vote...
OK, tonight is Idol. Who will leave there? I don't get as excited about DWTS as I do about Idol. I know you guys are not that into Idol. But it is my fav reality show.
I am feeling better today guys...thanks for asking...& yes I did go to work again, but now am dragging...hard to believe just a cold drains all energy...& boy do I hate coughing & blowing my nose...I am not used to getting sick...carrying a box of tissues, vaseline & vicks....
As for DWTS, wouldn't it be great if Kirstie winds up the winner...I would really like that...at the beginning didn't seem likely, but I do think it is a real possibility now...
Didn't see you slip in Coreen. Yes those colds are awful. If you don't already take Vit C, I'd hit about 1-2 thousand mgs a day for a while. I've read that hitting the C when coming down with a cold can shorten the course of the illness. I also read that taking it everyday doesn't necessarily decrease the incidence of them.
I tell you those steroid nasal sprays do wonders for me. I don't use them all the time but when I feel the slightest nasal congestion, I hit the spray and bam, it's gone.
I listened to the nightly news and I'm already depressed. Heard that up to 1000 women were raped, assaulted and one even killed while working for the effing Peace Corps.
Wish Jan could watch at the same time. I can't record and watch this one later because I have to watch it on Rabbit ears. Dish doesn't have Fox on Local options. They have all the other Networks.
The pic is good but there are interrruptions in the sound at times and that's a bitch. Dang you Fox.
Casey was out in the audience jumping up and down for Haley. I think he likes her.
Jennifer, go stick your head up your ass! I'm with Steven tonight. But I do have to admit that that song didn't showcase her great voice as much as something else might have.
Seems these judge are overly complimentary to each of the singers...
By the way, in my fog the other night I think that Casey the bearded singer voted off was in the DWTS audience...did you see him, was I right...He had been on local NY morning show after he lost,I know I was groggy Monday night, but pretty sure it was him...that would be the 2nd cross-over...
The judges are certainly undermining Haley tonight. She got such rave reviews from the public last week, at least what I read. They thought she was absolutely the best.
Even though the judges can't vote they can influence some of the audience.
When it comes to country music...I really don't like it...when I hear that twang in a voice I just cringe....believe it or not, that country music is like the only music genre that can not sustain its own station out of NYC...everytime they have tried turning a radio station into country here it fails...
Pretty sure that was one of them with Gaga...that's kind of when I realized they were doing their songs...did they say who the guy in the baseball cap was...
And Carol, on my YES channel they just mentioned that the Sat & Sun games will be on national tv, so I'm guessing fox & then espn...so you get to see 2 if you want....
And I'm doing it in the dark because we're having a termite swarm outside tonight and those buggers can get in here when there's a light on. I've got to get out of this room and go to the bedroom. They never get in there.
Maggie and I will have to run when I take her out. They do this once a year.
Something goofy going on. I can't sign into the blog from my computer. I go to the sign in page and I'm signed in but go back to the blog and not signed in.
Still can't comment from my laptop. Go to sign in page and I'm signed in go back to comment and not signed In. Can comment from phone. Anyone else having a problem.
Picked up a movie at red box. John did not tape Idol or Modern Family so we missed them both. More sorry that I missed Modern fam. We will watch Idol tonight to see who won.
Neither Coreen or I can comment on the blog. I can from phone which is Apple based. Jan got on but might have been using a Apple computer. Must be a problem with Windows of Internet Explorer.
Actually I'm not Coreen. I'm back to where I still can't sign into the blog I hit sign on it brings me to that dashboard page like usual but when I go back to the blog I'm not signed in. Everything is OK from IPhone. Is this just me or is anyone else having that problem??
Well, just after I finished posting my question on Blogger, I finally am able to sign in. I'm not sure it will continue to work.
Blogger help is not user friendly!
I swear I felt like I'm in the Twilight Zone. I even went to system restore and restored my computer to a day before I downloaded this game. I thought that might be the problem since I had no problem on Iphoney.
Jan, are you still grieving over James? I do feel sorry for him and it was a shock. I was hoping it would be Scotty that was knocked out. He has a country music career no matter how this all turns out.
I think he should be on Leno tonight doing the pre and post commercial singing. They don't get much of an opportunity to say anything though.
Jan or anyone else who might have a post you want to put up, it would be a good time. If they return some of our lost comments, we will go over the witching number. They said they would be returning them.
Did ya'll hear that Kym, Hine's partner on dancing, was taken away in an ambulance after a fall while practicing. I guess Hines dropped the pass. I wonder if it will go down as a fumble?
When I got on using my Iphone, I thought everything was OK. Then it was back to what it was doing before the entire system crashed. Blogger said everything was fixed except for some of the comments that went away. That's when I thought that maybe that game I downloaded was blocking something.
I turned off my antivirus and did a system restore. Almost couldn't get my antivirus back on.
Good thing I found out before I got the screwdriver after my new laptop. Still haven't gotten Lappy 1 back.

Can you identify what's in each pic?
Came home with an awful cold, sore throat, collapsed on the bed, just getting up
trying to watch DWTS, but keeping my head up
is a chore...
But I can almost smell those gardenias...stop
teasing me...
Beautiful pictures Carol. The only one I recognize is the gardenias in the last one. They look so real, I can almost smell them. We had 2 big gardenia bushes in LR and I loved it when they were in season. I am so envious.
I know the 1st pic is a little lizard but you call it something else - just cannot remember what.
One picture is some little peppers.
I bet, if Jan is watching DWTS, I'm right with her tonight.
Carol, I am taping DWTS. But I will turn it on now.
I still think the judges are full of it when it comes to Hines. I wasn't at all impressed tonight with his dancing. I guess I'm one of the few that isn't under his charm.
OK I am just now watching chelsea and Mark
Chelsea's dance was beautiful. 2 10's.
Chelsea and Mark were good.
She fused at Mark for his behavior last week. She doesn't want to piss off the judges.
I just saw Hines' dance. His form just lacks something for me.
The judges love it though
I like Chelsea more and more. She has those long arms and legs that make dancing look effortless.
I think Hines sticks out his ass too much and I don't like his ass as much as I like Max's.
I liked Romeo's dance too
Judges overscore him every week.
I agree about Hines. The judges love him though. Go figure.
I thought Romeo's dance was much better than Hines but he got a lower score.
I agree Jan.
Ralph got through his routine without hurting. Hope he gets through the instant one too. Looked good.
Kirsty is over dieting and dancing hard and tonight she looks like she's gained weight. It might be the outfit.
Her dancing was good though.
I guess Kirstie is next.
I don't like her outfit. It does not flatter her at all.
I wonder if Ralph got a steroid injection?? Probably needed some marcaine also.
These judges are biased!
For Kirsty and Hines.
I thought it was good too. I wish her dress had been black and slinkier.
I am amazed at how light on her feet that Kirstie is.
That music that Chelsae and Mark had to dance to was awful but they did a great job. Carrie Ann was a bitch.
She's trying to give her Hinesy Poo an edge.
Now the instant dances!
Kirsty needs to distract from her mega legs.
In chelsea and marks dance, it was hard to tell who was the pro.
And they didn't get good scores!
Yes, It is too bad but when I watch her dance, I am thinking the same thing.
Talking about Kirstie in above.
Hines is cute but he did look like a penquin with that dance.
The judges are full of S*** when it comes to Hines. He was not doing that well in the instant dance, and the judges are way off base. Bruno was the only one who was close to getting it right.
I liked Romeo's salsa.
I like Kirstie's 2nd outfit so much better.
How did you get ahead of me? I haven't seen Kirsty dance yet.
I think the judges are being more generous in their judging the instant dances.
They are showing them practicing. I have not seen their real dance yet.
Kirstie's instant dance.
I think the judges are not being serious tonight.
Every so often the cameras are showing Kirstie and Macks practicing.
I was starting to think I had a little fugue state.
I think Chelsea and Mark win tonight = hands down!
Ralph may get the sympathy vote this week. He really did not do much in his instant dance.
Ralph did give it a try. He may go off this week, unless lots of folks feel sorry for him.
I would rather see Ralph go home rather than Kirstie. What do you think Carol?
OK, Kirstie is next and last.

Yep, it's Ralphs time to go. His knee needs a rest anyway.
I already voted.
I think Kirstie did good.
I believe Kirstie said s*** I could see her mouth the word.
I was wondering if anyone else has a similar sensation when seeing or hearing about something kinda gross?
who did you vote for?
Wow! Carol, you are good. I would probably have passed out. That is an amazing story.
You are good at problem solving.
Coreen, I hope you get to feeling better. I recommend that honey that Jan mentioned, a dash of lemon juice and an ounce of Wild Turkey. The latter might knock out that sore throat.
I am voting for Chelsea and Mark.
I voted 4 times for Romeo and 1 for Chelsae. I'm hoping Chelsae will get lots of votes and I'm hoping I can help Romeo.
Hines and Kirsty will get lots of votes.
The answer to the pic quiz:
1. Anole, he was puffed up getting ready to fight another male anole. I saw hime when I came home for lunch. I kinda interrupted the war.
2. Petunias
3 and 4 Caladiums. I planted them from bulbs a month or so ago.
5. Grape tomatoes. They haven't turned red yet. There are at least 100 little tomatoes on that plant already.
6. Geranium.
7. The folage of Morning Glory. I couldn't find a flower in bloom. When they do, they are blue.
8. You got that one...Gardenia. I wish I could do a scratch and sniff.
Well, I'm over an hour late with my nightly schedule. Haven't walked the Magster or ironed. Who needs sleep anyway.
The color reminds me of the color of a wedding gown.
getting sleepy. Good night.
Just heard that Maria and Arnold are splitting the sheets. Hmmm. Well, since he can't run for President, he may not need a political wife any longer. Never could see what she saw in him anyway.
Hope you are feeling better Coreen.
Maria and Arnold, wonder what that is about? He is probably wanting a young chickee. That is usually the case.
The weather here has warmed up a lot. Try to get in a 2 mile walk before work.
Coreen, Sending you some good vibes for good health. Take care of yourself.
Hi guys...thanks for your good thoughts...this
morning I feel better than yesterday...
Yes, Carol, I rarely get a cold thankfully...It will now have to play out its
course...someone once told me, it takes 3 days
to get a cold, 3 days with it & 3 days for it
to go away...so I guess each day will get a little better...
I am with Coreen, I like all of those that are left. It will be sad to see any of them go home.
Just checkin in. Working today and home for a lunch break.
Back home again...& yes Carol I did go to my office...some of us have to get up & go regardless...
Really tired though, will try to rest for awhile, check in later...
And that same thing goes all the way up to the president.
And I don't think I even liked the kid when this season first started.

Hope you are feeling better this morning Coreen. When you don't get them very often, you forget just how bad a cold can make you feel.
Some simple arithmatic from what has been presented to me over the last couple of weeks...
Binny was hiding in plain site without many weopons to protect himself. Didn't seem like he was worried about anyone coming for him.
Keeping him alive did keep some of the motivation for these terribly expensive wars.
The justification for the wars started with the destruction of the towers.
Isn't really rocket science.
Not a good ponder.
Sorry about Romeo guys...told you it would be sad whoever lost...
Carol, good...now that you have made your voting decision, you won't have to watch/listen to any of the nonsense that will
soon be everywhere...what we only have like 18 months til its time to vote...
Wonder how these people know who will go on the reality shows.
Your right Coreen. Actually, I haven't watched any significant news in a while and I'm still sick of "that nonsense" from the last campaigns.
More important, how are you feeling today?
OK, tonight is Idol. Who will leave there? I don't get as excited about DWTS as I do about Idol. I know you guys are not that into Idol. But it is my fav reality show.
I too hope you are feeling better Coreen.
Hard to believe the pres election is only 18 months away.
Well, I've gone thru my grief cycle over my Romeo. He was going either this week or next so I guess it's good I got it over with.
Another rationalization I'm using is that Ralph probably needs the money more than Romeo does. Romeo probably has more irons in the fire.
I do think that Ralph is pressing his luck though with that knee trying to dance at that intensity and it's getting harder by the week.
Jan, this season I do like Idol as much as DWTS.
I am feeling better today guys...thanks for asking...& yes I did go to work again, but now
am dragging...hard to believe just a cold drains all energy...& boy do I hate coughing & blowing my nose...I am not used to getting sick...carrying a box of tissues, vaseline & vicks....
Not sure if I'll feel sad about who leaves Idol. They're all good and I'm sure they will all have a music career.
I was reading something the other day and some of the losers had better careers than the winners. Heck, winning might slow down a career.
How many are left on AI...4, 2 women, 2 men...
You will have to give the updates on that...
As for DWTS, wouldn't it be great if Kirstie
winds up the winner...I would really like that...at the beginning didn't seem likely, but
I do think it is a real possibility now...
Another new Modern Family tonight.
On NBC nightly news, I think Brian Williams will be live at Butte La Rose at the Atchafalaya river in Lousiana tonight.
No danger to my river with this flood. We have no connection to the Mississippi River.
I do it when I feel one coming on and it seems to work for me.
Don't dare use the OTC nasal decongestant sprays unless you want to get worse.
Nope Brian ain't out there
Ann Thompson was and she can't pronouce Atchafalaya. It's a tough one.
I listened to the nightly news and I'm already depressed. Heard that up to 1000 women were raped, assaulted and one even killed while working for the effing Peace Corps.
Yes Coreen, there are 4 left in Idol. Scotty, James, Lauren and Haley.
Are you watching Coreen? I miss your company.
Tonight they have Lady Gaga..and after dogging her song last week.
I think Jennifer and Randy could have handled the critique better.
Haley will still get my votes.
Don't think Scotty did anything special for that song.
And they gush over Scotty.
OK, I'm going to try to watch AI with you...
Obviously I missed a few songs...but there's
another hour...
Meanwhile Yankees are ahead 2-1 bottom of 4th...
And Mary and I both heard some pitchiness in the song James did. I thought it was just me but then Mary called and said the same thing.
Who are the Yanks playing?
KC Royals in the stadium...
Seems these judge are overly complimentary to each of the singers...
By the way, in my fog the other night I think
that Casey the bearded singer voted off was in
the DWTS audience...did you see him, was I right...He had been on local NY morning show after he lost,I know I
was groggy Monday night, but pretty sure it was
him...that would be the 2nd cross-over...
The judges are certainly undermining Haley tonight. She got such rave reviews from the public last week, at least what I read. They thought she was absolutely the best.
Even though the judges can't vote they can influence some of the audience.
I think Scotty is cute and is a great little country singer but I find his voice the least exciting.
When it comes to country music...I really don't like it...when I hear that twang in a voice I just cringe....believe it or not, that country music is like the only music genre that can not sustain its own station out of NYC...everytime they have tried turning a radio
station into country here it fails...
I know its big elsewhere but not for me...
Haley knocks another one outta the park!
You really like the way this woman's singing I who have nothing?...Really....
I was standing there in front of my TV watching Haley, sweating just like I was her mama.
Yes I did Coreen and it seems the audience did too. So did Mary.
I like some country, probably as much of it as I do songs in other genres.
Gaga schooling Scotty???? That's really interesting.
Gaga's right, Scotty does pull away from the microphone at times.
Just realized they were singing Leiber & Stoller songs tonite...
I heard the Yanks will be battling the Red Socks in Primetime this weekend on Fox.
I think Gaga is fun.
Yeah...& you may be able to see that one...
Who are they Coreen??
They are songwriters, & they produced Smoky Joe's Cafe, a broadway musical full of Rock & roll...I was lucky enough to have seen it on
Broadway
let's see...some of their tunes...hound dog,
stand by me, jailhouse rock...there's more...
Lauren is also very good. Hard to believe she is only 16...going on 30.
Pretty sure that was one of them with Gaga...that's kind of when I realized they were
doing their songs...did they say who the guy in the baseball cap was...
And Carol, on my YES channel they just mentioned that the Sat & Sun games will be on
national tv, so I'm guessing fox & then espn...so you get to see 2 if you want....
Are you talking about the guy sitting next to Gaga? He's a producer. He's been on every week but I can't remember his name.
The way he was talking I thought it could have been one of them...
James does a lot of screaming. Are the judges going to go after him for that???
He would be my least favorite of the 4...
And that's counting the country singer Scotty..
Of all of them, I would have to say I hope its one of the women....
Are you busy voting Carol...back to the game for me...
Yep. And I did it 50 times. Can you believe that? And I split my vote between the two women. I agree with you.
And I'm doing it in the dark because we're having a termite swarm outside tonight and those buggers can get in here when there's a light on. I've got to get out of this room and go to the bedroom. They never get in there.
Maggie and I will have to run when I take her out. They do this once a year.
They come to the light.
Jan, are you and John watching?? Can't wait to hear your opinions.
Just finished watching Modern Family. Loved it.
Something goofy going on. I can't sign into the blog from my computer. I go to the sign in page and I'm signed in but go back to the blog and not signed in.
Works from phone.
Still can't comment from my laptop. Go to sign in page and
I'm signed in go back to comment and not signed
In. Can comment from phone. Anyone else having a problem.
Picked up a movie at red box. John did not tape Idol or Modern Family so we missed them both. More sorry that I missed Modern fam. We will watch Idol tonight to see who won.
Will not depend on John to do taping any more.
Neither Coreen or I can comment on the blog. I can from phone which is Apple based. Jan got on but might have been using a Apple computer. Must be a problem with Windows of Internet Explorer.
Jan you can watch both online. Modern
Family easy to watch online. Not sure about
Idol.
Trying from my office...here goes
Woo Hoo???
We're back!
Back, stronger & better...but I'm still at work...
Actually I'm not Coreen. I'm back to where I still can't sign into the blog
I hit sign on it brings me to that dashboard page like usual but when I go back to the blog I'm not signed in. Everything is OK from IPhone. Is this just me or is anyone else having that problem??
I am finally able to get on the blog. I wonder if you guys are able to sign on. Its friday afternoon about 4:30 here.
Coreen, glad to hear you are better.
Jan, were you not allowed to sign on??
Well if Blogger thought they broke up our little gang, they can think again. We just did a lot of emailing!
Here I come, ready or not...back on track again...
Carol, I just saw your "woo hoo" above. I tried to sign on at noon today and could not and did not see your "woo hoo."
Did ya'll hear that Kym, Hine's partner on dancing, was taken away in an ambulance after a fall while practicing. I guess Hines dropped the pass. I wonder if it will go down as a fumble?
Her rep said she was going OK.
Stop blaming your stuff...its google or whoever
runs blogger...
Jan has a title up but no pics are showing on my computer...Carol, want to refresh & see if you have something new....
New Post! Coreen I fixed it.
OK, Jan's flower pics are now showing on my computer...so it looks like we are in working order....
